  1. Yes it is. As it should. It was brand new during the taping of that episode. LOL
  2. That goes without saying about EVs needing 1 hour to cool down between rounds. But, an ICEV also needs time to cool down between rounds. On modified cars that push horsepower way beyond what came stock with the car. They will run 3-4 times back to back (if that) then the dragster driver will put ice packs and dry ice and all kinds of other neat tricks on the manifold to cool it down. Because heat on the ICE robs power... And yes, sometimes these ICEV will also take one hour before running again. Cars like the Demon Challenger have dope stock methods in where the computer makes use of the air conditioning unit to cool down the engine making the Demon run countless of times. Which I gather some hot rodder thought of first and Mopar used that trick on its car right for the show room floor. Or maybe it came straight from SRT brains. regardless though https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/organized-drag-racing-autocross/109331-how-do-you-cool.html That discussion is from 2002 and it matches what I have seen when I had gone to the drag races at Napierville 2 or 3 times about the same time. Maybe things have changed since then. It has been 20 years. But Ive seen this contraption on google just now. Cooling technics have changed in 20 years. This method doesnt require plastic bags...
  3. You shouldnt really be street racing. But if you must, you must. Well....the Corvette in order to keep up with the WTF mode Hummer, it will ALSO need to engage its launch control. And both take a looong time to set up. Now...since the Hummer is such a heavy beast, maybe a straight up race with the Vette may not be a good idea as the Vette without launch control is still pretty fast. But when we factor in a P100D Tesla Model S, the C8 Vette may need the launch control to try and beat the Tesla. The Tesla might not really need launch control to keep up. I think the launch control set up in the Challenger is a quicker system to engage. Kudos to MOPAR.
  4. Fraud? If 200 miles and under is new and this is 301? Could this be brought to the attention of the better business bureau or any other kind of consumer protection agency? If any of them actually gives a shyte to begin with? DId they sell the Vette eventually? Because insurance and loan debt on an unsold car in today's market where there are NO vehicles for sale and little to no revenue coming in due to the chip shortage WILL hurt the dealership. LOL MORONS!
  5. Dirty scumbags or not, until idiots STOP biting into that kind of gouging, it will continue to happen. The most effective deterrent to those sh1tty tactics IS when NOBODY, and I mean NOBODY buys severely marked-up vehicles. Which also includes special cars. Like the first examples of a C8 Corvette (Z06 or Stingray) or GT500 Mustang or Hellcat Challenger entering the market for the first time etc let alone a freakin' Bronco. Yeah, a Bronco is a great vehicle. Ford did an awesome job with it and yeah, its a bonafide offroader like how the 1960s original was. Like you said, this dumb dealership will (hopefully) be stuck with it for the next 30-40 years. Like this dumb dealership with the GNX The owner's son who inherited the dealership from his dad, I think that is how the story goes, marked up the GNX that time just passed by. The idiots 30-40 years later went on Jay Leno's garage to try to sell it. Yeah...it was advertising to off load it. They werent showcasing it... The backstory. I read up on it...
  6. ^^^Yeah... All launch controls (regardless whether on ICEV or BEV) take that much time to program and engage.
  7. One hundred thousand dollars for a Bronco? If somebody buys that vehicle from this guy and dealership, then that buyer deserves to be taken advantage of. I understand that the dealership shouldnt be asking for these kinds of prices because its a ridiculous mark-up . But I also understand that dealerships could ask as much as they want because its their right as a business... (its been driven 301 miles so as to avoid FoMoCo disciplining them...) That doesnt mean a buyer HAS to buy it. I dont care how much in need one is for a vehicle...one DOES need to exercise restraint.
  8. Is this the new Z06? It appears to be. It is said that General Motors posted this on Instagram today. https://www.roadandtrack.com/news/a37755096/this-is-the-c8-corvette-z06-undisguised/ I like it. I like it better than the Stingray. I dont necessarily like this colour though, but I think if this is the new Z06, then its a smashingly good looking C8. I want to see how it looks in yellow with C8R cues on it. Interesting to see how much more aggressive the Z07 package would be on this as I dont see an aggressive rear spoiler nor aero canards and aero stuff in the front. Rear diffuser in the back? Center exhaust? Which Z06 will have all that? Is this the "base" Z06? Lots of questions still need to be answered and the questions above are still just about the exterior design and engineering choices and specs. Engine choice is still a mystery. And with the C8 side air vents being what they are, and how they and up helping gulp in more air for the C8R and now with this reveal, one visual I enjoy and appreciate very much on the Z06 is this cue: Very vintage American muscle car what Chevy designers did there. ? Very keeping the original inspiration of shark colour and loosely based looks. ?
  9. LOL Yeah, I get the misanthropic part. Im a social butterfly, but sometimes I hate people too. Im a conflicted person that way. More often than not, I like to be around people and socialize. Strangely enough, I get energized with stupid people. I want to get away from them as far as possible, but I use that interaction to fuel my conversations with people I like to be around with. The restaurant business is perfect for my personality. Im always snacking at the restaurant. Food all around me all. the. time. Although when I do grab a french fry here and there, or a piece of bacon, or a slice of pepperoni or cheese or a hot dog, I do it discreetly, away from my staff and clients. (open kitchen) I go in the back to stuff my face and wash my hands immediately after. I noticed on my days off at home, I crave snacks. I cant concentrate. Its like I have ADHD or something. I need to put something in my mouth to taste it. Im addicted... Though at home, I have started to snack on fruits this past year. THAT has spilled over at work. Im snacking on less and less hotdogs and bacon and stuff. I have my wife has forced me to bring fruits to work to snack on those. And so I do. Grapes. Cantaloupe. Oranges, tangerines, clementines. Ive noticed that my belly has gotten less bloated by doing that and it seems like I have lost at least 5-7 lbs in the process as well. I no longer seem to have a gut. I guess its healthier to snack on fruits. Who knew?
  10. I dont think I could EVER work from home. Too many distractions that would keep me from doing my job. 1. TV 2. Internet 3. Refrigerator and stove and if Im lazy to cook, many many snacks. 4. My house is what I consider a place for me to relax and get away...from work. I could NEVER bring myself to marry my house with my job. Nope! Couldnt do it!
  11. Like sands through the hourglass, so are the days of yet another corrupted corporation. As the world turns, the guiding light that leads these corporations is greed and more greed. Its like these CEOs that run these companies act like they only have one life to live. Discarding all of our children's safety all in the name of everything that is wrong with too much money. They think they are bold and beautiful, but really, they are dumb and dumber. Hopefully justice could be served. Is he the only one that is going to be charged? Scapegoat? Or will others follow? No doubt that it seems like he is guilty, whether he is a scapegoat or not, but he definitely wasnt alone going rogue. He was encouraged by the rotten corporate culture that enveloped Boeing in the last decade or two. Remains to be seen what comes next.
  12. Just as I was about to post how lonely the Buick looks, I scroll down just one post, and its already been noticed by you. I guess you really are 2 quick. But...the REAL question is: are you 2 legit...2 quit?
  13. Keep in mind I said emulates. To mimic. Different from copy. Different from looking the same. Ill start with the lack of a grill for the radiator for starters. Although, there have been dozens of cars before the Aurora to have such a styling feature. The Studebaker Avanti pops in my mind immediately to have such styling without thinking about it and researching it. With that being said, the 1st styling of the Model S had an oval black thing to emulate a radiator grill. I guess to make people think its a grill because grills (huge grills) had made a comeback by then and was, I guess, was an important feature for people. (So much so that BMW...Im digressing) The 1st refresh did away with that black oval thing and went with a flat, but slanted face. (I thought it was a pretty good look for the car) The bumper is more softer on the 1st refresh. But the 2nd refresh pronounces the bumper. Making it seem like it has a lip on certain colours and angles To which it emulates the Aurora... To quote you on your previous post I dont want to make it seem that Tesla borrowed from Oldsmobile and the Aurora. They look NOTHING alike. But, there aint no denying that the 2021 Model S has the same design features up front and mimics the 1996 Aurora. Obviously stylized differently. I just cant fathom how futuristically accurate the Aurora ended up becoming. It still makes for a beautiful car if it was designed for today's EVs.
  14. Ah....the good 'ole 1990s ('80s concepts coming to fruition in the 1990s) GM aero styling days. I think the actual 1990s cars (the styling) from Chrysler and GM could do very well and NOT look out of place with today's EV stylings. The front end of the refreshed Model S emulates the front end of the Aurora
  15. I know you dont post in here anymore. Whatever. Id like to show you one more time about your envy of European hockey and how false your opinion of it versus the NHL might be... https://ca.sports.yahoo.com/news/european-hockey-game-called-off-in-second-period-due-to-excessive-violence-230955194.html I came across this yahoo sports article 3-4 days ago. It disappeared. I forgot about it. I did want to post it to you then. Low and behold, it came back. Im not gonna waste my chance again... A little petty of me? Why YES it is!!! Enjoy where ever you are.
  16. 1. Audi E-Tron GT Of course in the most conspicuous paint theme possible. If I ever had more money than God... (why God???!!! Why do we say God...we SHOULD be saying the Devil...) Id buy this, and do a Tesla drivetrain, hardware and software swap on this... A GM Ultium swap wouldnt be a bad idea either. 2. TIED A) Lucid Air Very Oldsmobile-ish Very 1990s early 2000s. Which I feel very comfortable with. For how long tho? B) Even though I feel that the Model S is loooong in the tooth. I feel because of the lack of nice designs in the EV word yet, the Model S still stands out as a looker. With the little lip crease they did in the front, it pops just enough to look fresh. The back end needs a LOT of help. It hasnt been refreshed and it desperately needs it. Its like the Dodge Challenger. Its an old design. But it still works. But for how much longer? 3. TIED A) Porsche Taycan and B) Hummer EV SUV The Porsche is in 3rd place because I have gotten tired of the front end so soon. I think its because its got the Porsche family face on it and Im tired of seeing it. The ONLY car I like seeing that face is on the 911. The Hummer is not a vehicle Id be comfortable be seen in. Its NOT because of the 'phoque you' styling of it. But because of the SHEER size of it. I LOVE the fact that is a TRUCK of THAT magnitude. Its just that its a truck of that magnitude... Not my style. GREAT for an Arnold Swartzennegar, or a Conor McGregor. Not for me. Still LOVE the truck though. 4) Custom Look Mustang Mach E GT For an SUV... I could go for this. It doesnt got the presence and size of the Hummer. But its got a certain sizzle that I would feel good about being inside it telling the world: "hey...look what I got! Yeah...its a Mustang! Got a problem???!!! No! it got no V8! Its tall, 4 doors and its electric... And best thing yet! Its a FORD! Put THAT in your pipe and smoke it!"
  17. Although not twins, but uncle and nephew. May I interest you in: Hephaestus Greek god of metallurgy, blacksmiths, metalworking, carpenters, craftsmen, fire. (seems to fit you nicely...) Poseidon Greek God of the Sea and Horses If I ever build a hot rod, whether it be a '33 Ford Roadster or a '57 Chevy, I will have the classic hot rod motif images on it. But it will have a twist. Instead of THE classic hot rod images the motif will be Ancient Greek stuff on it. The Parthenon. Famous statues of 1 or 2 Greek Gods. Im thinking Athena and Poseidon. A Trireme. A Spartan shield and helmet. An Owl maybe. Yeah the flames will be there too. But even the flames will be Greek in nature. Disclaimer: I am not trying to convert you or anything. But seeing as how I was (jokingly) flirting with the idea of becoming a TV evangelist awhile back, maybe now I could seriously see my next career come to fruition. That is to start my own church and be on TV. I would try to heal people in the name of Mount Olympus. Care to send a donation my way? For the greater good of seeing the my project hot rod car be realized?
  18. Ive heard that the B52 will continue on serving for another 20-30 years... THAT...is INSANE! THAT...will be very near to a 100 year continuous service life of this aircraft with the LAST one built in 1962. Making these aircraft being serviced and overhauled a literal THOUSANDS of times. IN-FREAKIN-SANE! Which leads into this bolded statement that seems to have flown passed people's heads. When people's lives are at stake, no matter in what context we are referring to, we really dont want the very equipment designed to save lives, to fail and ultimately these equipments BECOME the very thing that ends up killing them... There comes a time when the equipment becomes a liability and NEEDS to be replaced regardless of age or the cost. Human lives SHOULD NOT have a COST attached... PS: The more you overhaul, multiplied by age, the LESS effective it becomes and more of a liability. You saw it with Boeing and the MAX 737. SHYTE...(sorry for the political reference), but we STILL see it with the Covid response both in the US AND in Canada... Seeing these 'Burbans are destined to protect political leaders both foreign AND domestic, a fail COULD literally mean....WAR. Yeah...its THAT serious. Not only losing life being a huge negative, but implications of conspiracy theories going wild, WAR may become a result... I seriously cant believe that nobody could see that.
  19. The post about the religion chart I made was in jest. With a little truth to it. But more so, I wanted to show that Ancient Greek polytheism was missing... I do have faith in God. Im not a bible thumper. I just try to live life being the best human I could possibly be. Seeing that humans are flawed creatures, I aint perfect... I could be a selfish asshole at times.... Food. I LOVE food. I eat to live, duh. But I also live to eat. My culinary tastes are more in sync to the western world's. European and American mostly. Minus British and Mexican. Although there are some Mexican foods I enjoy. Depending on what kinds of Oriental foods we are talking about, I do enjoy them. But if we are going to be honest about Oriental foods, its the Americanized Oriental foods that I love to eat. But my culinary palette is like my music palette. Its wide. And I am not afraid to taste and eat something that I havent eaten before. I may have limits though. Insects is where I draw the line. And exotic animals. Ive tried snails and frogs and horsemeat and game meat such as dear and moose. And Ill kindly decline to eat those again. And because of that experience, I wont eat shark. Why would I eat shark when there are a ton of other classic fish around to eat? Greek seafood cuisine has all kinds of fish to eat with all kinds of different ways of cooking them, I dont see the need for me to try shark... Im sure its good and tasty, but I dont feel the need to experience it. Ill stick to fried calamari and grilled octopus both drowned in lemon with ouzo on the rocks as an aperitif on a beautiful picture perfect sandy Greek beach in July thank-you very much. Speaking of which, the background is just as important as the food itself. Sipping wine on the French Riviera or eating a cheeseburger and fries in my hot rod muscle car cruising the Pacific Coast highway or Woodward avenue or having a hotdog at Fenway or Wrigley Field is just an important experience for me. Aint life beautiful? (If we could experience those senses?) EDIT: I wont eat game meat because game meat tastes too much like grass. I love my greens. I eat lots and lots of greens. Spinaches and brocolli and cauliflower and... All done the same way. Boiled and soaked with olive oil and lemon juice. I wont eat snails because...icky. And honestly, all you taste is the way they are prepared, with lots and lots of garlic. If one has to prep up food with that much spice, you arent really tasting the food, right? I mean, Im Greek. Garlic is a staple. But I wanna taste the snail. If I wanted to taste garlic, well, there is skordalia, there is tzatziki sauce... I wont eat frogs again, because it literally tastes and feels like chicken. Ill just eat the damn chicken... Why eat frog? Sharks and other exotic animals. Well, these animals are not really human food. Well, not where I come from at least. If in your culture, you eat shark or baby seals, great for you. My culture does not eat that. So I wont. No need to. Alligator and snake falls into this category. Just to be clear though. Greek cuisine involves all kinds of other animals. Im accustomed to that. Im glad this post turned out to be less long than usual.
  20. I feel neglected... How many Gods I wanna worship? Well, sometimes, when things go my way, I tend to believe and have faith in one God. The God that is my culture. But...sometimes, when things dont go my way, I do either one of two things 1. I stop having faith in my God. 2. I blame Him for my failures... But then things turn around and I have faith in him again. I know, right? Blasphemous of me. So...since Ive been blaspheming all this time, I would want to start believe in multiple Gods. THIS way, no matter how many of them I have pissed off, including the God that says that there is no other and that I shoudlnt worship another, not ALL of them would be pissed at me. Id have 1 or 2 in my corner. But this is where I feel neglected... How Many Gods Do You Want to Worship? - A Ton of 'Em Do I Want To Be Reincarnated? - No, but I do believe I have a soul. I wont ever sell my soul, but I do believe that my soul will live forever even if my body will not. OK?... Do You Prefer Indian or Chinese Take-out? - Food is good. All food. But I also LOVE bacon. I eat pork. Have NO issues with it! Pork on a stick with garlic/yogurt sauce sounds dee-lish. Maybe You Should Worship These Guys
  21. It has, unfortunately. The genius that is Elon Musk. Not to take this into a personal direction (against Musk and his family's retarded parenting) (but PHOQUE IT!) but their child's name is a bunch of random letters and symbols, and his girlfriend, the mother of his child, has a dislike for their baby to call her mom. The child calls his mother by her first name... With where his mind is at right now, you could see as to why genius Musk went with a yoke for a steering wheel. There are at least 3 reasons in my paragraph there as to why I will NEVER buy a Tesla vehicle regardless if Tesla EVs are STILL the benchmark.
