But the longer Elon is stalling it, the more time Chevy has got to perfect and out perform the Tesla Roadster 10 fold with the EV Stingray and the 1000 HP full on tri motor EV C8 Zora... I dont know if competition will make for better Tesla products as their leader and head CEO, Elon Musk, thinks that he is the smartest guy in the room. He doesnt seem to learn, or more precisely, he doesnt seem to WANT to learn from others. Especially the legacy automakers. Tesla might have (had) a superior EV product, that gap is FAST closing in on Tesla. And I really do mean fast. Faster than what I thought it would be. THAT is the thing, Legacy automakers have some brilliant engineers of their own and Elon thinks that he has cornered the market with engineers... The problem is that these legacy automakers have a century plus of history of engineering state of the art stuff. THEY KNOW how to find and nurture and get the MOST out of THEIR engineers. And legacy automakers, whether in Detroit or Wolfsburg also know a thing or two on how to engineer and mass produce a vehicle and they have THAT down to a tee... something that Tesla and Elon REFUSE to learn how to do... Elon not only has other projects in mind, his obvious choices in how he chooses to use recreational drugs make it apparent that Tesla is losing its edge slowly slowly that Tesla once enjoyed hugely over every other legacy automaker... A product like an Apple computer, or iPod, iPhone doesnt come too often in life. But Steve Jobs seemed to hit lightning in a bottle SEVERAL times in his tenure of Apple. THAT is because Steve Jobs was CLEAR in his mind... Jobs MIGHT have ALSO taken prescription drugs ALONG with recreational ones, but somehow, HIS mind was clear. When the onslaught of EVs come from these legacy automakers in the next year and two, Tesla will NOT be selling THAT many Model Xs and Model 3s... Those Tesla cars are already long in the tooth in 2021 and they arent even THAT old... and there is NO talk about gen2 for these cars... I wont even address the Model S and X... When the 2nd gen of these EVs from VW, FoMoCo and GM come rolling along by the end of the 2020s, Tesla I feel, will be an irrelevant company...as a car manufacturer. (NOT as a powertrain and battery company, but as a manufacturer of vehicles) VW, FoMoCo and GM, ESPECIALLY VW and GM, have ALL THE R&D money they could possibly need WITHOUT the help of smoke and mirrors stock market manipulation of ARTIFICIALLY valuing their companies at 600 mill. In fact, VW, FoMoCo and GM are CRIMINALLY UNDERVALUED that it seems it doesn't MATTER because it seems as FoMoCo, VW AND GM have found a way AROUND that and have the MONEY to equal and BETTER the Tesla tech with their OWN proprietary tech... It was the Italians that gave way for the nice LX interior upgrades. Especially the Dodges. Daimler flubbed on what could have been a phoquing awesome partnership and merger with Chryco. Yeah...I knew that about you. I forgot. (That you were into '50s and '60s Pontiacs when you were a teen in the '70s) I did calendar year for me as I wasnt as advanced as you were in recognizing what and who you were about cars. I came to that mindset when I was in my late '20s. However, I did like '50s and '60s cars in my teens, I also liked the cars IN my teens and in my '20s as well which would be cars in the '80s and '90s respectively. I only started preferring the classics cars over the currents in my late 20s which would be the late '90s.

I couldnt possibly be out by 1979 as I was just starting out in being a car guy. A tad earlier than '79. But I was just 6 years old then. My dad's '70 GTO and a neighbor's '76 Trans Am were one of the first cars that I loved. The General Lee too, but we are talking about Pontiac. Then in 1979, the new look Trans Am came out and I was hooked forever as a Pontiac guy. There were other Pontiacs in my neighborhood (from the '70s) that had 'that' look that made Pontiac such an exciting brand. But...the first car that I disliked was that Sunbird that I posted. When I saw the Pontiac arrowhead on it, I do remember looking at it and thinking to my little self, WTF? Obviously not in those words...but the sentiment of WTF was there. Then the '80s came...and my love for the 3rd gen Trans Am was as strong as the love I had for the '76 and the '79. The Bandit T/A was not a favorite...I merely liked it. I preferred the years outside of '77-'78. But when I saw that Bonneville as a new Pontiac, I wasnt too thrilled. But the Grand Prixs made me kinda forget about that Bonneville. The FWD Pontiacs of the '80s never had a negative impact on me. Only because I really didnt know what I was really missing in the RWD Pontiacs of the '60s... I loved the way the excess styling of late '80s Pontiacs were. Then came the weirdness of GM in 1990. As long as Pontiac had the Trans Am and had made the 4rth gen so adolescent looking that I sooooo ,oved about it, I didnt care what shytty cars Pontiac was peddling. I loved the W-Body GP, I loved both gens of the FWD Bonnevilles and I also kinda liked the Dustbuster minivan. And my favorite was the plastic bodycladded Pontiac version. But when Pontiac decided to sell the 2nd gen, I started questioning Pontiac's direction. And then the Rageous came out immediatley right after and I said to myself..."OK, Pontiac is serious again in making muscle machines! I want!" Only for it to be just a concept...

GM SHUT DOWN brands that TOTALED MORE SALES than TESLA produces and delivers in 2020... In 2009 at the bankruptcy these brands totaled half of that with 252 00 sales...
