    Well, to be honest, it looks pretty sharp for a really small SUV. I assume it is FWD-based but I may have missed it. If so, I think the relatively flat hood makes those FWD proportions look surprisingly great. I like it but nearly 40k for something this size seems insane to me.

    Well, they both have the same rollover rating per the NHTSA, 4/5 stars.

    Well, it's taller, 65" vs 68", than an Escape/MKC. I'm also not worried about mine but I've been told I should be.

    Unfortunately, GM has already said this won't go into production but some of the key elements will be utilized in future SUVs. "The low fastback coupe won't go into production, but some of its cool design elements will be seen as soon as 2025 on EV and gas Buicks. However, they'll all be SUVs."

    Do go on and show me the education that you have on the topic, because you've shown so much thus far. Yet again, I've never disputed the fact SUVs have a higher risk of rolling over.

    Have proof of this? Because I've seen, and I'm sure you have as well, videos of the small overlap crash test destroying legs. Nah, you can do it if you'd like. It was a numerical example. You know what an example is, correct? It was an example of a very high percentage increase but of a very low number. Politicians (and more anybody trying to convince people) love to use things like this to skew statistics in their favor.

    Yes, exactly. The same goes with overall safety of a vehicle. Just because something is of a higher risk of rolling over doesn't mean it is necessarily of a higher risk of keeping the passengers safe. Yes, rolling over isn't a good thing but neither is taking a impact straight on. There are just so many variables in crashes. (this was a reply to Drew) You as well, Olds.

    Yes, I know it's physics. Yes, I know there is a higher percentage of rolling over in everything that has a higher center of gravity. I'm just saying, something CAN be safer than something with a lower center of gravity because you're equating safety to center of gravity as if rolling over is the ONLY measure of safety. I've also mentioned that I never purchased a CUV for safety. Not once.

    Something can still be safer all while being more susceptible to rolling over. Rolling over doesn't mean immediate hospitalization or death. Oh no, I understand the higher risk of rollover, but it's a negligible amount. Just because something is a higher percentage, doesn't mean it's actually a high percentage. 0.5% chance vs 0.75% chance is 50% higher risk, but it's still extremely low. (random numbers as I do not know actual statistics on percentage of rollover accidents)

    Is there anybody here who DOESN'T think they're more susceptible to rollovers? If there actually is, they need to go back and take some high school classes because it's pretty simple stuff.

    Wheelbase is irrelevant with rolling over. You may be thinking of a wider track?

    I get what you're saying but that's a huge benefit of a hatchback, is you can fill to the roof. If we want to pretend that everything above the seats doesn't exist, sure they're completely comparable but that's not realistic. Every road trip we took as a family, sht was stacked to the foot in either our vans or SUVs. Cargo volume, per Honda's website: https://automobiles.honda.com/accord-sedan#trims-specs https://automobiles.honda.com/cr-v#trims-specs I just used LX trims for both vehicles as I'm not sure their hierarchy and they both had LX trims. CR-V Cargo Volume Rear seats up: 39.2 cubic feet Rear seats down: 75.8 cubic feet Passenger Volume: 105.9 cubic feet Accord: Cargo Volume 16.7 cubic feet Passenger Volume: 105.6 cubic feet Even if you wanted to cut the CRV short because you may not choose to stack things to the roof, it has over three times the volume available. Even cutting it in half double what the Accord has available.

    I'm confused how CUVs are less capable at hauling than a similarly priced/sized sedan. You know CUVs are hatchbacks and with rear seats folding (in both vehicles - for the sake of comparison) there's a much larger opening in the rear of a CUV than a trunk and back seats.

    While I agreed with most of what you said up until this point. CUV's aren't just toppling over while spiritedly driving. Yes, there are rollover issued but that's in collisions with things, not just on their own.

    That doesn't even make a difference with SUVs because they all ride on pretty low profile tires. Everything in this class has always been like that, imo. None of them have been or done anything special.

    Yeah, definitely a smart move to make sure it is 100% ready and the vehicle can handle the wear/stress.

    They looked like they wanted to lose that game early. Then they figured something out, Husso made some great saves, Nathan made a beautiful goal, and the Blues stayed resilient! I WANTED to turn the game off when it was 3-0 and Colorado was still rolling but I couldn't let myself turn off the potential last game of the year. I stayed with them and it paid off! I was thinking the same exact thing. I don't think that trail looked like anything an AWD Fusion/Camry/Accord couldn't handle. The extra 0.5 inches of ground clearance for "most" SUVs (CUVs) doesn't really make much of a difference anyway on a pretty flat trail.

    It has to be a little more than just enabling it, otherwise it would already be updated to do it. There's obviously some issue somewhere otherwise it would be have been on the vehicles upon delivery. I was kind of being a smart@ss and kind of not. While I hope Rivian succeeds, they're sumbling HARD out of the gate.
