  1. While I dislike the i3, at least it feels unique in a good way. While this probably took a lot of engineering hours to get a slippery body, they did it in such a bland and bad way.
  2. That's where I found it, hahaha. This topic was a thread in a group I'm in. I'd also like to point out that I really don't have much of an issue with them raising the prices, even though the hikes were A LOT. The biggest issue was just not honoring the reservations, the ones giving them cash for operations prior to production. Yep, this is going to hurt regardless of "fixing" the mistake.
  3. Seems they’re trying to fix their colossal mistake.
  4. What's much worse than preordering a new vehicle with a deposit to have that price spike 17-20%?
  5. Even if I had the extra cash for such a purchase, I'd be out on principal. Fck a company who does that to their customers.
  6. It looks to be getting slaughtered again today.
  7. So now nothing competes with anything?
  8. They're free to order a Lightning or Silverado EV!
  9. It isn't that at all though because there are still competitors. Ford, GM, Stellantis, Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Volvo, etc. are all competitors to Rivian.
  10. Good point, that's fair enough.
  11. This actually makes me wonder what my uncle will do. He was supposed to get his R1T sometime in March. I know money isn't an issue to him but I wonder if this will piss him off and cancel just out of spite. I should reach out to him and see what's up.
  12. Is this much different than dealerships adding the "market adjustment" to vehicles already ordered? I disagree with both tactics, by the way.
  13. It's only been on sale for a few months, I believe. They've probably only sold/built a few hundred, maybe a thousand at this point.
  14. Yeah, this will likely bring it down some. This is atrocious PR. I understand raising prices on new orders but you CANNOT raise prices for those who ordered vehicles a year ago and just still haven't received it yet. Also, when I say I understand raising prices, I DO NOT understand 17% and 20% increases. Like Surreal has said, prices have gone up on about everything in the past few years but vehicles absolutely have not gone up anywhere near that.
  15. It's been in the 50's-60's since Jan 19th. After their initial first-week rally, it's been down for awhile. It peaked at 172 on the 5th trading day, November 16th. Yesterday it did drop 8.36% from 67.56 to 61.91.
  16. I don't think it's a failure, just not pretty. There are some very slippery vehicles out there that don't have the penalty of this styling, Teslas and Lucid Air come to mind.
  17. Somehow, I think the CC looks pretty great. These...do not. I completely agree. No matter how quick, technologically advanced, or insane range these have, I just cannot get on board the styling.
  18. Don't be pessimistic! You're the Silverado of humans, you'll live welllllll past your expected life! You may be beaten on, pulling well above your rated weight, mismatching tires, and a sagging headliner, but you'll still be chugging along!
  19. They did start earlier than I thought. I had no clue this thing was for sale in August of last year. I know it's only a few months difference but I thought it was "newer" than that. https://insideevs.com/news/560120/kia-ev6-wholesale-december-2021/ But, EVs accounted for 3.2% of Kia's sales last year. That's not too bad.
  20. It's one thing for the vehicle to be designed around being an EV but another to make a classic into an EV. I don't want a classic muscle/sports car to be silent, period.
  21. Wasn't that only like the first month of sales? I can't imagine the sales of that will stay at 0.002% of KN sales. Garbage sample size.
  22. It would be so disappointing to drive something this beautiful and have zero engine/exhaust noises.
  23. I can't imagine they'd price the Ranger Raptor the same as the F150 Raptor.
  24. 80kW battery? That thing will travel an awesome 75 miles before needing to charge. I'm very confident that electricity will be a better mover of weight with superior control having front and rear motors and they're extremely heavy vehicles with all of the batteries already. My only issue is the range is cut so much that it just isn't worth it quite yet.
