Deep down I feel the same about the Nissan entry. I am hoping that they, the underdog with a lot against them, rise out on top to claim a Le Mans win first time out but this is wishful thinking. Realistically I think they will be battling with the privateer teams in LMP1 class and not even bothering the Audi's, Porches & Toyota. If we stick with the script, I think it will be another Audi win. I saw some of the Spa 6 hour race and saw that one of the Audi's overtook a Porsche on the outside of one of the S-turns and if they can do that sort of thing, then I just can't see anything else getting close to them. Mind you, the Porsches had better pace on the straights. You literally made me laugh out loud with that AF Corse comment!

I enjoy a lot of motorsport and my favorite has varied over the years. From a kid, my favorite was F1, then as I got older it went to touring cars, and now it is Le Mans style endurance racing. I still enjoy touring cars but the cars they use now don't seem to have the finesse the cars of the mid 90's to very early 00's had. The same goes for Rally racing, especially WRC. F1, well that has become my least favorite motorsport because it just seems to be a procession now. The only real battles you get is at the first turn, then after that everything seems to run in the order like they are behind the safety car the entire race.

I've given my car a wash this morning so looks all bright and shiney now. I've very proud of my work.

Sounds a pretty interesting one. I just hope it lives up to it's "simple driving pleasure" statement. Also am curious to see what it will look like compared to other 911's. -

They're doing the practice sessions some time during next week. I can't wait to see how that Nissan does but I'm trying not to get too optimistic so that I don';t get disapointed if it does rubbish. Here's hoping for good things anyway!

So first we had an all-wheel drive 3 series, now a front-wheel drive X1? This feels a bit wrong, just even thinking of a BMW with a drivetrain other than rear-wheel just feels wrong. -

Nah I tried it once and got a trunchon over the head for it My go pro burns through battery really quick. I wouldn't use one as a dash cam. How long does the battery last on your GoPro?

Not sure where you're from ccap41, but over here the channel Eurosport usually has 24 hour coverage of it which is fantastic really because 10 odd years ago they only had hourly updates and something like 2 hours live coverage at most. The coverage got better over the years but it's only the past three years that we have had 24 hour coverage. I love the night time racing. I really do, I really love seeing the lights all flooding the track and the way it feels like everything else has stopped runing, everyone else has gone to bed while these guys are continuing to drive in the small hours. It's a feeling I'm having difficulty describing and it probably sounds weird but yeah, I love the night racing! Are there any cars you miss seeing at Le Mans? I miss all the open top prototypes that were in abundance years ago. My favorite of which has to be the Panoz entries. Lovely cars. I also miss the old Dodge Vipers.

That's a nice idea. I have an iPhone 4 and sadly the battery life on it is a little crap, I'm not sure how long it would be able to record for. I'll look into that either way. Thanks I'll check out one of these also. If I don't like having a cam up in my car it's not a lot of money spent so I can always sell it or use it for something else. Many thanks guys!

I'm looking into getting some sort of dash cam. I was wondering if anyone else here uses them and if anyone has any recomendations? I'm not really looking to spend hundreds on one, just a sort of cheapish one that records in a wider angle if possible. Thanks guys

All I could think of while reading this was an Only Fools & Horses sort of set-up. I.E two guys selling dodgy knocked off merchandise out of a suitcase in the middle of a market. I really cannot see this being succesfull.

Was driving along the motorway today and passed what looked like a completly custom built car. It had the front of a Ford or Chevrolate 50's pick-up and on the back it was a low loader for cars. Really eye-catching and it looked brand new. Wish I had taken a picture of it.

I've been listening to a cover of Nothing Compares To You done by Stereophonics for a while now. Really, really good song. I may get a slap for this but I actually like this version more than the original.

I don't really like the look of it and it just feels wrong that they are going to be producing something like this, but they have to try and go where the money is I suppose, so all the best with it. I hope it does the company well.

So is this a system where you connect your phone and can then take calls through it play music & watch videos and stuff? Interesting draw if it is but it's not really my cup of tea honestly.

The AF Corsa team? I seriously cannot understand how they can still be allowed to compete because every year, without fail it seems, they manage to cause a crash. 2013 one of their cars ran into the Toyota at the end of the Mulsane straight, sending it literally flying into the wall 2012 another of their cars crashed into a passing Audi sending it into the gravel & smahing into the tyre walls just past the Dunlop bridge.

Should I go for the Xperia Z3 or the Z3 Compact? Will the Z3 feel too big? Will I miss that extra gb if I went for the Z3 Compact? Descisions descisions.

Yes it really is a boom or bust proposition for Nissan. Skeptics are saying it will not work, will not be succesfull, but then Nissan must have seen some potential in it for them to enter it. I can't see they would just make something and then throw it in the mix hoping for the best. Then again they did that with the Deltawing... It's an eye-catching design though and I really hope that it is competitive.
