Forunately it was certified so got a decent warranty. Got the car back, dealership said a coil and plugs were the culprit. they wanted $330 to fix it, but my brother cot the plugs and coil for like 30 bucks and we are going to do it. IMHO, they should have done it for free because apparently when they did the rebuild for the oil burning isue they put the same plugs back in, wtf? Anyway, he is working on a trade-in deal on a REALLY nice off lease 2013 ATS 2.0T AWD. I hoping I may have a new review next week Make sure that used ATS undergoes a rigorous inspection. They had a few major teething issues with the '13s, specifically the 2.0T. I am pretty sure i have him convinced to get the 6 now. The other deal didn't happen. He did find a beautiful loaded white 14 with all the options that he wants. the bad is that it is a private owner so he would have sell the Audi outright.

it irks me, but I hope to have the Dakota fixed soon and hope to find some R/T bumpers for it in the correct color (full body color instead of the Sports stupid black strip at the top and my rear bumper is rusting badly).

Agreed. The S V6/AWD is a top contender for my next vehicle along with the Cherokee Trailhawk and Colorado Z71. Hey now, i named a few things lol. It is a really good car though. Haha just messin, I really do like the looks of the 200 and it sounds like when it is mated to the v6 the 9spd is a great combination as well. Are you looking to buy for yourself soon? I dig the Cherokee, it just wasn't in my price range when I was buying. They were a too new still. Within the next 12 months hopefully. Won't be new, but low mileage used. As you can see with my main choices I am really in the air on exactly what I want lol.

I went through that a couple of months back as well.. luckily mine was nearly dead center and easily repairable. Hopefully yours is as well. Had it happen a month ago myself. Luckily I had road hazard from discount tires tires and they a tire at my doorstep the next day. he bad was they don' make my tire anymore so the one they sent was the one suggested by Goodyear, which oddly happens to be a much more expensive tire with Kevlar reinforced sidewalls. Now, i just need 3 more accidental flats to finish the set lol.

People around here have ZERO respect for other people's property. Found another random dent in my truck this weekend that was even way to high to have been a door ding. Somebody also put a dent in my brothter's Audi and keyed the hood. i mean, WTF?

As a friend of mine in Colorado is now learning...he replaced his '02 Maxima with a CPO '13 Audi A6 Quattro, been in the shop constantly over the last 6 months...he's now looking to unload it and get a new Maxima. Basically my brother's experience too. The A5 is CPO. He hasn't been able to come to a price agreement on the ATS and is looking at a 13 328i xdrive now. He has been warned lol. Forunately it was certified so got a decent warranty. The tires. very noisy on the interstate. Also, I redundant controls, but an odd omission was one of the climate controls, think it may have been temo or fan speed that doesn't have a redundant button.

Well, had to go with my brother to pick up his car at the dealership Wed and he got a rental car to take us down. They had originally given him an Impala Limited, but he had been trying to get a new 200 for about a year. They told him they were detailing it and he could trade the next morning. Basics: 2015 200 limited. 39000 rental miles. It was pretty basic in features by today's standards but still had a backup camera and power driver's seat. Exterior: Even in basic white in the basic model the 200 is still a striking car. I love all the detailing, he LED running lights, and especially the rear stling Interior: I really liked the interior. It was very pleasing to look at and all the controls just fell into place. The turn knob shifter was a non-issue and I was adapted to it by the second time using it. It was a nice 2 tone color, dark upper/light lower. I LOVE the seats FCA use in their cars. They are not overly padded and are shaped perfectly to prevent long distance fatigue and to provide long term comfort. I love all the storage cubbies. The storage beneath the center console is very convenient and a rubber pad to prevent items from sliding. The dual center console is huge! Basically there is a rear one with a hinged door and a front one under the sliding cupholders. The cupholders were very nice and "grabbed" your drink o hold it into place. They had no problem holding my 52 ounce diet Mtn Dew in place. Even with the front seats in place for my 6.0 ft frame and my brother's 6 ft 2 fram there was still decent legroom left in the rear. The trunk was a good size too with a nice flat load floor. My only gripes were that there is an odd seam at the front of the center console and dash and the fact the touchscreen seems to need ou to hit the buttons a few times every now and then to respond. I have used the same system and have never had this problem before so I think it probably just a matter of all the rental use and it felt like it may have had a film on it from whatever cleaner they used. I also don't like the fact they used conventional hinges instead of space-saver ones. Ride/Handling: Surprisingly the structure was very solid with not a single squeak or rattle, even after 40k miles of rental abuse. The handling was flat and secure and the ride was good. You heard potholes instead of feeling them. The braking was very good, though the pedal seemed a little touchy. Overall a very enjoyable car to drive. Engine and transmission: I was VERY surprised here, especially with all the carp some people give the Tigershark/9 speed auto combo. The engine provided plenty of power for accelerating and passing. It was not tomb quiet, but was not harsh or overly loud either. Nothing special, but nothing bad either. The transmission surprised me. Shifts were smooth and when called upon downshifts happened in a quick direct order. It did not hunt climbing hills or grades and always kept the engine in it's powerband. Overall I was very surprised and whether they just found the right tune, or this was a just a good trans in this car, it felt every bit as adept as the ZF 8 speed in his A5 (which i drove back). Finally fe: On our way back we decided to have a little contest to see who could get better FE in their vehicle. Note that we were both using fuel computers, so I make no guarantees on the accuracy. On the Freeway at 80 or so both pulling around 31-32 MPG. the difference showed up once we hit stop and go traffic. Once all was said and done I had averaged 31.3 in A5 and he had averaged 28.8 in the 200. Overall: the 200 is a very nice piece and should on he shopping list of anyone looking in this segment. I of course would want the V6/AWD S model, but for basic transportation the limited is just fine. I took a bunch of pics and will try to get them added in a day or so if anyone is interested. Also, there may be some grammatical mistakes because I am not proofreading this right now, will get to that later. If you made it through this, thanks for reading!

The 93+ Fleetwood with the towing package has an equal to higher towing capacity than some full size trucks depending on their configuration.... and all mid-size trucks except the GM Canyonado with the diesel. True. i think max or the Caprice/Roadmaster with towing was 5000 and the Fleetwood with the towing package was 6000 or 7000!
-
Your friend's was probably a 91 or 92 with the non-LT1 350. The 93 - 96 got the LT1 and the difference is night and day. 94-96 got the LT1. But yes, would say a pre 94. may have have been even worse, a TBI 305, yuck!
-
Yep, like drew said the D-body is basically a stretched B-Body. As such the Roadmaster was kind of like a short wheelbase Fleetwood. it offered almost all of the big Caddy's options in a smaller package and stuff not available on the caprice. Point of interest. The Fleetwood was the only B/D body sedan to offer an optional sunroof. The Fleetwood brougham had glass headlights, were base models got plastic. The Fleetwood offered a 3.42 axle ratio with the towing package. Caprice and Roadmaster 2.93s and 2.56s were standard. Impala SS and I believe 9C1s were the only ones to get 3.08s. My 96 Caprice with 2.93s averaged 24 MPG consistently, my Roadmaster limited with 2.56s averaged 26. My Fleetwood was a 93 so it had the old TBI 350, it was in the teens in MPG. I only ever got to run my Caprice at the track. On a humid 100 degree day with a trunk full of luggage and a miserable 2.5 60 ft it ran a 15.8. Given the conditions for the day and adjusting to a 2.0 60 ft I got a 14.8. I miss my big BOF GM sedans

The Audi dealership came and towed it in yesterday. i am guessing the engine will either need a complete rebuild this time or replacement. He loves the car, but it has been a reliability nightmare.
-
Well, the dealership is being ridiculous with trade-in so at least this MKZ is of the table. I told him he needs to find one in black anyway lol.
-
Fleetwood Broughams were. i loved my 93, wished it was a 94 though with the LT1. Owned the whole round of 90s B/D body sedans. The Loaded Caprice B4U lacked a LOT of options compared to the Fleetwood and Roadmaster and the interior was nowhere near as nice. The Roadmaster Limited (both it and the Caprice were 96) felt like the smaller version of the Fleetwood.

Anybody have any experience with these/ My brother's Audi is acting up again and he has become intrigued with this car. He bought his wife a 08 MKX before Christmas and they really like it. I figure these should be reliable being Fusion based and the 3.7 has been around for a while. thoughts?
-
Ok, so my bro's Audi is going in the shop AGAIN. This time he engine is missing, spitting, and sputtering. This may be related to the previous issues with the burning oil. Luckil, it was certified and still has warranty left. only has around 64k miles. It is such a shame too because it is such a lovely driver. Anywho, he is going to be looking to trade it once he is fixed. Looking low to mid 20k range and AWD. I think I found him a car he loves. Ready? 13 Lincoln MKZ. V6/AWD/loaded. 43k miles. This pic is pretty close. Me, i am thinking of getting a car myself. Found a very nice 2015 200S V6/AWD with 15k miles for 20k. Similar to this: Anywho....

I think that would be the E43 AMG announced today. The C class is he 3 series/ATS/A4/IS competitor. -
They need to build this! Give it a hardtop, give it the new Hurricane 4 cylinder and keep the diesel as an option, and leave the rest alone including the extra 2 inches of ground clearance and the limited slip rear and I don't think they could keep up with demand. I would personally take it over the Wrangler because I have a long highway drive everyday and could use the extra on-road comfort and FE, but would still offer plenty of off-road ability for tooling around in the hills on the weekend. And with that size the thing would just be so maneuverable and such a little go-kart!

I would be hard torn between the S6 and V-Sport. Both are fantastic with good strengths. IMHO, the GS-F should have been a solid 3rd in this comparison. They had a lot of complaints about it and that price!
