  1. Mmmkay @oldshurst442. Whatever you say.
  2. You have to be a special kind of bored to argue over freaking snow.
  3. An idiot is still an idiot, no matter how zeros are in his or hers bank account.
  4. My "Facepalm" is a reaction to the video itself. and yes, Level 10000 Master Class Douchebag. Got exactly what he deserved for being a complete idiot.
  5. I once owned an '89 MR2 and my 6'5" cousin had to be shoehorned into that thing lol. (only once though). All those cars were tight quarters for anyone over 6 feet, in general.
  6. Love the throwback. Makes me miss my old '95 Talon(s). My 2nd one here (circa 2005-2008). It got me from NC to Arizona when I moved there in '07. Just the ESI (non-turbo) model but it was a 5 speed manual. The autos in those were garbage. It was great on gas and gave me minimal hassle. No way I could sit in one now but I will always have a soft spot for them. Love the write up @Drew Dowdell! Had a '93 Laser as well but it was an auto and was the slow poke model lol. It was my first car that was solely in my name back in '94 and I owned it for a year before I traded it on my first '95 Talon. It was the exact same trim model as my red one, only it was white and black.
  7. Happiest of Birthdays to you @Drew Dowdell!
  8. And you can have all of that lol.
  9. It's been unseasonably warm here (NC) to the last few days and will continue through tomorrow. 78 today and possibly 81 tomorrow. I'm not complaining at all though. Sat outside late last night night and didn't even have to crank up the fire pit. I did anyway lol.
  10. Mercedes fanboys: "Buick needs to keep real names for their totally new EVs" (paraphrasing, of course) Also Mercedes fanboys (after being given just a small list of meaningless letters and numbers meant to indicate the model of autos produced by Mercedes over just the last 15 years alone.): "Buick needs to keep real names for their totally new EVs" That's all I saw here. But David, they didn't even try.😎
  11. Shame the best looking Saab sold here was the last Saab sold here. It was the most modern take on the always quirky styling of those. They look super sharp in the darker gray shades.
  12. The larger problem with the first two model years of those cars was a transmission overheating problem. The lines were too small for sufficient cooling. Supposedly they added a transmission cooler in the latter year models but by then it had a foot out the door here.
  13. Dumb example since it was never intended for the kind of volume you are "demanding". It uses old tech (buy EV standards) and thus is cheaper to sell now, hence the increase there. That has ZERO connection to their Ultium products, which WILL TAKE TIME to get to higher volume sales due to the many reasons already given to you by multiple people here. Stop ignoring those facts in order to keep up this stupid crusade against a domestic make. It is just old and tiresome at this point.
  14. Do you just deliberately go out of your way to ignore all valid counter points and just keep saying the same garbage until everyone thinks it’s actually true? Again, how many years did it take Tesla to reach that scale (with large government subsidies, I might add)? Don’t answer because we already know how long which is the key part of the counter argument you continue to ignore.
  15. This and any overreaction to this is just that, overreaction. Fools who think this is a dead end road for GM have their own agendas backing their "opinions" and folks shouldn't be too concerned about those certain opinions.
  16. Came oh so close to buying one (a '94 model I believe) around 2001 but the transmission was slipping to the point of needing replacing and that was not a cheap fix at all. Was a neat little ride back then though and yes, the Delorean style windows were a selling point for me lol.
  17. The last part shows why you are wrong. Somehow it never occurred to you that building the best quality EV was a better way to do business than selling in bulk right off the bat. Last I checked, it took Tesla almost a decade to manufacture at levels you see today and they STILL haven't gotten the quality down. Stop asking everyone else to do something else just because "that's enough volume" barely two years into the EV realm.
  18. Looks at another thread and two pages of pissing matches over the use of a pick up (and subsequent irrelevancy) and thinks to himself...
  19. Sometimes I just shake my head at the non-sense. As of 2/2022 Source:https://www.investors.com/etfs-and-funds/sectors/sp500-companies-stockpile-1-trillion-cash-investors-want-it/ But yeah, Elon, Elon, Elon.
  20. I know all about conquest sales and also know that Cadillac badly needed a real halo car to get folks into their showrooms for their current and future EV offerings. That’s how you get those sales you want to see. How in the world can anyone fault them for that? Your first post was contradictory in nature hence my “reaction”.
  21. And anyone with an ounce of common sense and eyes knows this.
  22. And it's pretty ignorant to think that is what they would do in the first place. "Hey. I can't afford this $300K low volume hand built EV, so I am going to get this $50K gas powered car instead."...said NO potential EV buyer ever. The Lyriq is exactly where they hope to steer those folks, duh.
  23. And you continually misread my intent but that is nothing new here so how about sticking to the subject of the thread instead of trying to make things personal while acting like you have a leg to stand on here? Besides, I would rather be seen as feisty than be seen as a troll. Take that however you want since you will do that any way.
  24. All BS and obvious trolling by some aside, something like the Celestiq has been LONG overdue from Cadillac. The benefit of this is that the tech in the Celestiq will probably triple down to other future products like the inevitable Escalade EV on down. This is nothing but a win for GM and Cadillac if all the pieces fall together for them.
