I have to say that the mobile version of this site has become more unusable due to the pop up ads and videos. I get the reason for the ads but the execution of them takes away from the usability.

You most certainly did put more than "nothing" into that. Referring the above in bold: "Tesla is NOT the leader." Those are your exact words. Emphasizing with "NOT" is not reporting. That is interjecting opinion, an opinion that has obvious roots in past bias against Tesla. Imagine if ICE vehicles were sold the same way. Brand A will fill up with gas faster than brand B because Brand A is luxury while Brand B is not. I do not like this tactic being used by automakers right now and I promise you, that is a HUGE detriment to potential buyers. Add to that, it just leads to frustration and confusion on potential buyer's part.

Outside of the long outdated 4 Runner, all of their SUVs and trucks have gone hybrid or have it as an option but according to David, that is still outdated tech.

For all of Toyotas present flaws, they are not dependent on one group of vehicles like GM and Ford, to provide their profits. Aside from their EVs, GM has just a much "old tech" floating around as the rest of them (the 3.6L, the 5.3L, the 6.2L, etc). I like you threw that in there because you think I am now some kind of Toyota fan (I am not). I just don't deal in fanboy logic. I'll leave that to you and SMK. ALL OF THIS! For the record, the 5.3L long predates 2000. My mother's '97 Z71 proves that.

Yeaaaah, no. GM is absolutely still heavily profit driven by their full size trucks, just as much as Ford. Where else is the profit coming from? -EVs? Not yet. -Sedans? Non-existent outside of low volume Cadillac sedan sales Other than the Vette (which really doesn’t account for that much since it’s produced in far fewer numbers) GM still lives and dies by their full size truck profits and its fanboy logic to say that they don’t. A more diverse lineup does not equal more profit.

And how, exactly, is that any different from GM and their full size cash cow trucks? Hint: It isn’t.

Did I say you specifically? Nope. Sure didn’t. I said “GM fans” of which there are quite a few here. Again, misreading my words. That’s all I’m saying about it at this point. And it looks like @ccap41 already found it. Sure didn’t look like “around” and “at/@“ were distinguishable there but hey, I’m just looking right at the page lol. I did see in their updated press released, where they changed the range to reflect all trims, including the base model. My error and I can admit that. However, that still does not change my point about the price bump and 69 more miles of range doesn’t really change that. They knew they were going with one battery from the jump and that should have been reflected in a proper price announcement from the start, not “oh it was around this price but now it’s $5K more and won’t come out until six to nine months after the more expensive models that we are really hoping to sell. Again, that is a Tesla tactic and I am not down with it.

Somehow missed this the other day, just as you missed the part where I was referring to GM fans and not GM itself. I made that pretty clear in the post you quoted yet somehow missed the actual words that were said. Passed both the first time but the weird part of mine was the fact that the lady that rode with me during my driving test just happened to be my uncle's ex-wife (they divorced before I was born so I never knew she even existed lol). Didn't know who she was until my dad told me, after the driving test. Probably a smart move lol.

That’s why I go by the facts at hand and not by what someone “sees” and I made that distinction very clear here. And given his past criticism of Tesla and their pricing games, you’d think he would see the issue here but yet here he is saying is he not “blindly defending GM” while saying the above. The product is irrelevant when the product won’t even be released first and instead we get two models that start at $13K higher than the new higher price for the yet to be actually released $35K model. Until the actual product hits, the known price is what we have to analyze here and that’s it. He can make up any excuse about my intent or anything else for that matter but it changes literally nothing that was said here and I stand by it 100%.
