Sorry for my part there. Just couldn't resist myself after certain folks just softballed it in like that lol. Been keeping myself busy too since I moved last month. My workshop/office/pseudo man cave has been getting a lot of attention over the last few weeks. Have to get some more plywood to finish the front wall. A shame the cost of wood right now makes it damn near a commodity.

Or how tens of thousands of folks, in a handful of deep red states, signed petitions to secede from the union in 2008 and 2012 when a black democrat became president and was then re-elected. We definitely saw how that worked out.

You misspelled looney “right”. It is also not mine to lend out, mostly because I’m not a snowflake nor do I associate with them.

So one might say that you’re looking for a “safe space”?

The past week here, weather wise, has been damn near perfect. Today, a high of 79 and a light autumn breeze knocking around those leaves a bit. Tomorrow, crap. I will take today please. Edit: For the record, nights have been pretty awesome as well.

Alternative Fuels & Propulsion RANDOM
surreal1272 replied to G. David Felt's topic in Electric Vehicles and Alternative Fuels
Yes, its been around 100 years yet infrastructure has only been around a few decades, with widespread adoption taking place only in there last decade. BIG difference there. $80K ICE Pick ups (like every loaded up HD out there), in general, aren't for everyday pick up owners. Meanwhile, all pre-orders for the 2021 Hummer EV are spoken for. Now we will see if GM can actually deliver on the promise. -

What’s really nice is that you can fill up the Raptor at your home while you sleep, get 1000HP and go 0-60 in 3 seconds. Oh wait. That’s the Hummer EV. Just skip the part where that same company, Ford, is getting ready to release an EV F-150. Yeah, real ahead on the tech there, I tell you what. -
Alternative Fuels & Propulsion RANDOM
surreal1272 replied to G. David Felt's topic in Electric Vehicles and Alternative Fuels
It’s really not that hard to remember if you don’t have a certain blindness towards one kind of car. And as David pointed out, its not that hard to see hwy they did it in the first place and it has jack to do with “goodwill” or demand. It’s called being ahead of the competition when it comes to pricing. Besides, the initial prices on those were not committed numbers anyway. -
So instead of saying “Hey. Wrong car. That’s a Buick”, you basically make it personal and insult him? I guess being a passive aggressive dyck just comes natural. Phoenix

Alternative Fuels & Propulsion RANDOM
surreal1272 replied to G. David Felt's topic in Electric Vehicles and Alternative Fuels
Yeah, its a good thing Ford doesn’t offer massive discounts on their best selling models like the F-Series. Oh wait. It should be noted that they did not change the price of the GT model and most trims only dropped $1000. I’m sure those little facts don’t help your narrative that all EVs suck but there you have it. -
Saw one of these at the dealership while the Flex was being serviced. Vanderhall Carmel (Autocycle). It’s like an Aerial Atom had a drunken baby with a Polaris Slingshot.

Dems didn’t have them but however, my a/c was not working at the time so big ass air bag size window shades were mandatory. -

My old nimble MR2. Basically Drove like a Go Kart with a roof on it. -
I’m certain for some folks, there is but honestly new cars are a terrible investment. There’s a reason why used car sales have taken off over the last decade or so. To each their own though. If someone wants to splurge $100K on a new car, more power to them. You only live once, after all.

Interactive Review: 2020 Hyundai Sonata Limited 1.6T
surreal1272 replied to William Maley's topic in Reviews
*yawn* yourself hypocrite. Again, refer to your very first statement and admit that you were wrong. There is competition but you don’t want your mommy to pay slightly more for more power and more room. That’s really all you have to say instead of dancing around your mistake and making up endless excuses for it. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got to go put an American flag on a Toyota Tundra. Hope that’s okay with you.- 77 replies

Interactive Review: 2020 Hyundai Sonata Limited 1.6T
surreal1272 replied to William Maley's topic in Reviews
Not that this part matters (only what I posted at the bottom here), but so damn what? The Hyundai dealership nearest me has ONE base model Venue and it is cheap looking on every front. You talk about apples to oranges? The TB, while priced higher, looks better in every trim level (as opposed to the base model Venue I saw with its wheel covers, no wonder its “cheaper”). Like I said though, none of what you just pointed out matters because of the following below. For the last time, I quote, 22 hours ago, ocnblu said: Link please. To a domestic 2020/2021 competitor to the Venue. Yes it is, whether you want to admit it or not. Your sorry attempt at bar moving does not change this fact. Go ahead though. Go ahead and get one of the cheap ones here. I think I’d pay a little more for one that doesn’t look so “cheap”.- 77 replies

Interactive Review: 2020 Hyundai Sonata Limited 1.6T
surreal1272 replied to William Maley's topic in Reviews
Hey SMK, I mean Blu, nice bar moving. You said nothing of price and your assessment of the TB can easily be applied to the Venue, ie good luck finding those base models. Again though, the TB is competition for the Venue and is sold by a domestic company here. Those were the two rules YOU set up. Not base price. Not what can be found in the “real world”. You were wrong, end of story. The TB also has more power and more cargo room but I guess pointing that out is just salt in a open wound at this point.- 77 replies

Interactive Review: 2020 Hyundai Sonata Limited 1.6T
surreal1272 replied to William Maley's topic in Reviews
He didn’t state domestic made though. He stated a domestic competitor that sells a model that competes with the Venue. The Trailblazer, sold by domestic company GM/Chevrolet, is the most direct competitor from a domestic manufacturer. At least the money stays in America, another past gripe by certain people with selective memories. The Venue is a foreign car from start to finish so how does that fit his past “buy American” narrative. That is the core point here.- 77 replies

Here you go. No link but I think you get the point Mr. “buy American”. Good grief man. Make it a challenge next time you want to try and defend your domestic policy there.- 77 replies

Item: 2013 Chevrolet Avalanche LTZ Black Diamond
surreal1272 replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Member's Rides Showcase
Didn't get a chance to say it on your other thread but that is one sharp Avalanche. If it weren't for its need to drink gas like Frank Gallagher drinking booze, I would have traded my Flex in for one. Still, very nice ride and you definitely lucked out on the low miles. Tough to find one with under 100K on it. -
Alternative Fuels & Propulsion RANDOM
surreal1272 replied to G. David Felt's topic in Electric Vehicles and Alternative Fuels
Well then it seems like to me that Rivian is more concerned with putting out a quality product and not a sub-quality product by having “speedy” production. Quality over quantity. I’m not really sure how you make this out to be a negative somehow. -
Alternative Fuels & Propulsion RANDOM
surreal1272 replied to G. David Felt's topic in Electric Vehicles and Alternative Fuels
Using the Model 3 as an example of speedy production is a poor poor choice given the massive production issues and reliability issues that have dogged them since.
