Ram News: 2021 Ram 1500 TRX Continues FCA's Hellcat Obsession

The last gen Colorado had a 5.3L V8 option. The fit isn’t the problem. Demand would be. A TT V6 is the way to go in one of those/ -
Ram News: 2021 Ram 1500 TRX Continues FCA's Hellcat Obsession
surreal1272 replied to William Maley's topic in Ram
So you’re basing your argument over company value? Not product (Which is a mixed bag at best). Not reliability (something Tesla thus far doesn’t have). Not sales (again, mixed bag). That “value” is nothing more than over inflated stock. The Cyber Truck, design wise, is utter garbage and not ONE person, that is considering a Raptor or the RAM, would even look twice at that monstrosity. Fact. Your first sentence also applies toe Benz and the AMG lineup but we don’t talk about that. Easy money. -
To the smarta** in the back, I mean @ocnblu. Autocorrect fail that I didn’t catch in time. Since you were so concerned, it should have read 2012 CAMARO ZL1. Thank you for your continued concern and support. You may now resume hugging your Donald Trump life size cut out. Two things. First, the CT5-V is not the same top trim (power wise) as the previous gen CTS sedans, so that is a pointless comparisons. When the Blackwing comes out, then you its apples to apples. Second, like the last CTS-V, there isn’t a time for the CT5-V so again, your hypothetical bar moving means nothing.
-
The CLA45 S did the time in 7:48 and seeing as how there was never an official ring time for the last gen CTS-V (2014-19), you cannot even say for certain what the time of a LARGER car (than the CLA) will be. I do know that the 2012 Cameron ZL1 does the time in a faster 7:41 time. Yes, a Chevy spanking Benz but shhhhhh, we don’t talk about that. Point here is, even your hypothetical bar moving doesn’t pass the mustard here. Again, about the Lyric...

Hyundai News:Hyundai Makes Ioniq Its Own Brand
surreal1272 replied to William Maley's topic in Hyundai
Funny. Don’t remember you expressing that “America” sentiment when you bought that Mexican made Compass, all while typing your thoughts on a device that is also not made in America. Regarding the subject at hand, this is a smart move by Hyundai but they have to be smart about it. A couple $60K EVs will not cut it and will not succeed long term. There has to be a range of entry line Models (Starting at $30K) to even get folks in the door. And who gives two Fs about how Elon Musk is worth? It’s all in stocks anyway. He, himself, probably has just enough cash to support his weed habit.- 18 replies

Going inside your brain is a bit like clearing cobwebs out of a hundred year old attic full of useless things. I, however, don’t need to make that journey. What I presented is based off of your own words and complaints. Call it whatever you want. I call it being a hypocritical whiny little troll.
-
No you weren’t. Your only gripe was with the subject matter at the time. Others were actually discussing it while you whined like a five year old because it’s supposedly not a random thought. Maybe you should try somewhere else on which to peddle your lies and non-stop whining about any subject matter that does not appeal to you. It would be a welcome change of pace for you “foo”.
-
“I've never taken it so phoquing personal” This is from the same person who whined and complained, on this very thread, so much about the mere mention of the word “electric”, the he PERSONALLY demanded an entirely new thread about EVs. Then, in sheer irony of it all, goes to that thread and trolls and complains there as well. But hey, “I've never taken it so phoquing personal”
-
Says the same person who shows up in the alternative propulsion threads, at every chance, with his largest spoon, just for stirring.
-
And yet another article about Cadillac where the entire thread is about basically debunking SMKs endless trolling and lies. Ans this is why is I only visit sparingly anymore.

(Looks at the delayed EQS lineup and thinks that you forgot to mention Benz in that statement)

Not to mention how long has Benz been “showing off” the delayed EQS lineup? Funny how that gets sidestepped by the resident Daimler fan.

Industry News: Average Age of Cars in the U.S. Climbs Again
surreal1272 replied to William Maley's topic in Industry News
“Reliable ICE vehicles” Hello? Ocnblu? Yeah, we have Fiat on line one. And F it! Just tell your work that you all want to go back to the office. That way, when half of your office and the office of your clients, gets COVID, you can come back on here and bitch about how unproductive folks there are and how it sucks to work short handed. -

I know right? If only they had offered a diesel model like Chevy did with the Cruze. Oh wait. No one wanted those either. -
Quick Drive: 2020 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro CrewMax
surreal1272 replied to William Maley's topic in Reviews
Yeah, you wish you had that much culture. Given your disdain for anything that doesn’t conform to your narrow world view though, its more like... Of course, you had no logical counter for the fact that your initial post was pure hypocrisy and just general false patriotic whining but hey, that’s just par for the course. Same as it ever was.- 94 replies

Your “liking” them does not change my statement. Again, it is a pick up truck, where function should trump whether or not it has a panoramic sunroof or an 50” screen on the center stack. Oh give it a rest homer. The great thing about this country is that people can buy whatever they want and adorn them with whatever stickers they want. Example, you used to own an “American” car that was made in Mexico by a company based in Italy. I’m assuming you had some Mexican and Italian flag stickers on that Compass, going by your “logic”.- 94 replies

surreal1272 replied to William Maley's topic in Reviews
You are correct on the V6 but they were offering the 4.6L on the entry level until very recently apparently. They haven’t offered the V6 in years. For YOUR truck. Doesn’t mean there weren’t others depending on the VIN. Still doesn’t change what I have said and I stand by it. Overall, both Toyota’s are reliable, end of story. Your one off anecdotal story about your one truck doesn’t change that.- 94 replies

Quick Drive: 2020 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro CrewMax
surreal1272 replied to William Maley's topic in Reviews
Fair point but my point is that most trucks are being sold on “sizzle” Instead of function, something the Tundra does not excel at since it hasn’t changed in eons. Now having said that, lets look at some those factors, starting with resale. According to KBB, the Tundra is tops there. https://www.kten.com/story/41657657/5-used-trucks-with-the-highest-resale-value Reliability? You can’t even begging to say that the Tundra isn’t reliable. As yes, it lags in power because it only offers two engine choices, which is dumb on Toyotas part. However, that 5.7L has more HP than the 5.3L which is a selling point for some buyers. The point is, that its not as bad as you think. Yes, it is dated, inside I and out. Yes, it needs more engine choices. However, it is still just a pick up truck, the same as the rest and would perform 100% of the time for 99% of the pick up buyers out there that don’t need a heavy duty truck. As this point though, Toyota either needs to get serious about the Tundra (if it wants it to survive) or just pull the plug and focus solely on the Tacoma. Just my two cents. Since you brought up recalls earlier though, here’s a comparison for you. 2020 Tundra vs 2020 F-150. Does it still matter?- 94 replies

You misread what I said when I mentioned “disagreed”. You also know, as well I do, that recalls do not mean a car or truck is unreliable. Now, specific mechanical or powertrain failures or issues are one thing but thats not what is going on with the Tacoma. Your point is still flawed in that even when the average Toyota “isn’t”, it is still more reliable than most of the competition. The average buyer is loyal but not so loyal that they will continue to buy a product if its a pile of $h!. Just saying, I get that you don’t like Toyota but lets keep this grounded in reality, since the rest of this thread clearly went off into a black hole of historical nonsense.- 94 replies

Not disagreeing with your post but that was not reason for my reply to riviera. They made the statement that Tacoma sales were garbage like the Tundras when they are not, so much so that they sold double the number of Colorado’s last year despite the Colorado being the overall better truck. Brand loyalty 101, much like the F-150 and Silverado outselling RAM even when RAM has had the better truck at times. And sorry Balth, but I’m more than happy to show the sheer pile of twenty year old S-10s and first gen Colorado’s that turned to pure $h! since you seem to think that only the Tacoma should face that level of criticisms. Like them or not, they have earned their reputation for being solid trucks with a pretty healthy record in the reliability department. Their high resale values over the years back this up.- 94 replies

Tundra sales are garbage and always have been. The Tacoma, however, continues to outsell the domestics. Not sure where you got the notion that Tacoma sales are bad. And good grief! What the hell happened on this thread? Sounds like a few folks need a bed and med check.- 94 replies

Genesis News: 2021 Genesis G80 Packs New Styling, Two Turbo Engines
surreal1272 replied to William Maley's topic in Genesis
Your side note is bunk. That BMW is $14K more than the Camaro and almost $20K more than the Stang. It better be faster. The BMW starts at $56K and for $8K more, a Camaro ZL1 smokes it 0-60. This is what happens when you constantly try to move the freakin bar. And that CT5-V is not the same V as what was in the previous gen CTS. You have been told this multiple times but again, that bar moving. The Blackwing CT5 that replaces the previous V high tier performance, is 650HP and will be available with a manual. Think that damn 3 series is going to touch that? No so all this BS about performance (that you had to create via that bar moving again) not being a strong suit of the domestics is pure uninformed bull$h! on your part. I don’t know why you have to keep being reminded of this but those are the facts. Just stop. And for the fifteenth time, this is about the Genesis G80. Here’s hoping it can compete in the long run with the overpriced and overhyped Germans. -

surreal1272 replied to William Maley's topic in Genesis
No every company does not need fleet to survive. And even at that price, it is lower than what you claimed earlier and again, that is not a fleet price. Fleet prices are cheaper for obvious reasons, a fact you chose to overlook. So the G80, which has already been stated to be an E Class competitor is also a CT5 competitor but the CT5 is not an E Class competitor? Again, this is why I take your statements seriously. The constant bar moving and revolving contradictions kill any agreement you are trying to make here. -

Again, you show your bias with your last sentence. The car isn’t even out yet, you haven’t even sat in one as a result much less driven it. And you wonder why you catch the hell you do?
