NHTSA Opens Investigation Into Fatal Crash With Tesla's Autopilot
Suaviloquent replied to William Maley's topic in Tesla
Right so when GM and other's introduce this tech, suddenly they'll be infallible? What a bunch of nonsense. No one said this technology is the new meta, you can delude yourself as much as you want, this crash is not Tesla's fault. Come back when you have an argument. Whining over a bunch of nothing. -
NHTSA Opens Investigation Into Fatal Crash With Tesla's Autopilot
Suaviloquent replied to William Maley's topic in Tesla
Only completely stupid and naive people believe that this crash happened because the car didn't do it's job. I don't like this technology, yet petty GM and Ford ARE YEARS behind Tesla, Mercedes and Volvo. That is what it is. -

NHTSA Opens Investigation Into Fatal Crash With Tesla's Autopilot
Suaviloquent replied to William Maley's topic in Tesla
Yup, we already have a former GM employee go on record saying that the most times GM makes a mistake is that they're just CHEAP. When Tesla has a fault, it's because they're rookies. Well how about this mofo's.... WHEN IT COMES TO AUTONOMOUS TECH, EVERY CAR COMPANY IS A ROOKIE. AND GM HAS A HISTORY OF CHEAPENING OUT. TESLA DOES NOT CHEAP OUT. WHEN THEY MAKE A MISTAKE, THEY USUALLY HAVE A VERY LENIENT WARRANTY. THAT MIGHT CHANGE WITH MODEL 3, BUT THEN THEY WOULD BE NO WORSE THAN GM OR FORD OR CHRYSLER. YEA. AMERICAN AUTOS. ALL ONE THE SAME. HAPPY AMERICA DAY WEEKEND!!! Bah....Americans... -

Hah. I sneer at some so called domestic brand lovers yet they whine about poor little Tesla. Oh heavens what must we do. And aren't all auto companies in a RUSH, NO MAD FRENZY...NO on AN AUTOMOTIVE JIHAD to CONVERT their employees to their brand...especially for highly advanced auto tech. Tesla is MORE American than GM or Ford. Every car they make, is built in this country. And they're going for full vertical integration. Batteries for the WORLD. Made in Nevada. Already at 75% domestic content, and once the gigafactory is fully online are made here, it'll be even higher. HyperV6 do not ever again question the strength of any FULLY AMERICAN AUTO. And I don't even like their cars to know that is true. I don't like that right now they only make two models. I think they made a grave mistake with the delay of the X. BUT $h! THEY DON'T TURN A PROFIT JUST YET, BUT THEY DON'T MAKE THE EXCUSE OF SHIPPING JOBS OVERSEAS TO CLAIM THAT WILL MAKE THEM COMPETITIVE. They WILL not sell a Chinese Tesla in America, but they will build Teslas in China for china. If they do, well, they can't be any worse than GM or Ford can THEY? -

I used to think that if you were producing a lot of your metabolism was good. You know. Food IN....fertilizer OUT. But now it's almost weird how little is created, yet I appear to be getting thinner, and losing some poundage. Though it is refreshing how light weight production produces no splashes. Lean manufacturing. Using the material up to the limit...YUP.... -
All you Americans have a safe America Day. On America day I will be watching an American sport. I believe it is called the ball of bases. Yes. Also - our cable package here gets the international version of CNN. (Not too political I hope. Just funny) Such an enjoyable circus what is going on for this election cycle. You get what you deserve America. And you deserve what you can earn. All the comedic entertainment for two lifetimes. AHHHH...

Okay...weird things happened yesterday... 1. 3 people said I looked taller. Doesn't make sense, my hair was cut just 4 days prior. And I'm not wearing any different shoes. 2. I did some stretches...and then a few legs movements...and the joints felt like they were lubed....they have not felt like that in so long....I was confused. 3. I did 15 situps and 10 push ups. That's like a 100% increase from just 3 days ago....WTF.... I didn't do anything for two days before yesterday other than long walking, stair climbing and clearing of stuff. 4. NONE OF THIS MAKES SENSE....NAHHH!!! -
NHTSA Opens Investigation Into Fatal Crash With Tesla's Autopilot
Suaviloquent replied to William Maley's topic in Tesla
Well, why would it matter which car it is? All of the American brands are working on autonomous driving. Mercedes has similar tech in the E-Class.... Everyone, everyone is doing this stuff. And there's been times electronics have malfunction...and it WAS the car itself, not the driver. Such as say Toyota's ETCU's for so long. And I think we're all glad your finally admitted just how important Tesla is to the world. -
Yeah, but for the home market? In Germany and Japan, there is no resolution. The American luxury brands outselling the domestics? NEVER So the best hope is to own the home market. Now collectively, the big 2 and the FCA brands are still something. But Luxury should be a shoe-in - but they get thrashed. Some of it is perceptions. North America has so many different kinds of folk, instead of more homogeneous demographics in European nations....So we have already a culture willing to import cars and other goods just because we import people from all backgrounds. And Caddy and if Lincoln gets surges with the new investment, and first stab at the future RWD capable platform soon and if Buick moves further up, they all need to court those snobs who can't be courted to achieve that.

Someone try to figure out what day today is, and then I'll truly believe the 3 amigos isn't a joke.

You're right, didn't see that one. Well then. For Caddy and American luxury, it's still them bleeding. In order for them to truly win, they have together - Cadillac, Lincoln and some of the more expensive Buick models have to outsell the rest. Which they still don't. So...as a Caddy fan, I have to wonder. Mercedes can afford lose yet still more sedan sales, yet they still beat Cadillac, because it's not like Cadillac sales are snatching some that many people leaking away from import premium sedan market.

I learned that a lot of the components for the CT6 plug-in are actually made domestically. So it's even a bigger WTF for me, why they ship all those parts to the China assembly when most of the drivetrain is BUILT here, and the CT6 is also built here. Hamtramck assembly also builds Volts, so it isn't like they don't have the right training for personnel or tooling to build them.

So do the sources really matter? Like when I eat strawberries from California, but then eat the next day strawberries from Ontario, I can tell the difference and the taste is different...but the nutritional value is probably going to be the same. But is there some "unaccounted" factor (like dark matter, we cannot describe it but we know it's effects) from fish sources or krill that somehow makes the Omega 3 more better and more effective? Because when eating the Ontario Strawberries (Canada Day **** YEA), no offense, most of the California strawberries were left out too long, absorbed more moisture and were sour more often than sweet. I went to costco a few days ago. I saw a brand called "MegaRed". -
I have a hunch that Ford is willing to have Mustangs in fleets, because perhaps they don't want competitive leases, so more vehicle purchases make sense as cash or financing... And it kind of perpetuates the appearance of affordability in the used car market. I dunno. I also checked out a Mustang base model parked on a street yesterday. I really liked the looks of it. It looked tidy, had probably the most classy and sensible wheels I have seen yet for the bargain basement price - the 5 spoke machined alloys look great and in photos the car looks a bit longer than it should be...but in person I looked again, and I was like NO way, that's a tiny frickin' coupe man!! The Challenger's I've been in, driven...look so much bigger...and they are. And it was very clear in the base model, there's a owner of a 2014 V6 coupe near the home, and I saw the design evolution with my own eyes while going from a street near home to my home. You can tell apart the cars very quickly. The Camaro needs a close examination, because the side profile is largely the same.

No, the S-Class is not a twin of the CLA. That's one that just isn't true. The S-Class grille is bigger, has slats instead of the mesh on the CLA, and it always has hood ornament for its sedan versions, and it has longer dash to axle. The CLA is a sedan version of the A-Class hatch that has been selling in Europe since 1997. Bringing it over stateside was something they could have done long ago, making a sedan version is also something they could have done long ago. And besides... what's done is done. Do the vehicles look like what I'd expect anyways? That I'd say yeah...it's a Mercedes and it looks like one. The CT6 is a clone of the CTS as well, just a grille that is wider, not as tall, and then some basic headlight differences and voila. Now the price spread isn't so vast. Look at all of BMW. Every single Audi. What Ford has done to all their sedans. However, GM having Buick and Chevy to deal with CLA and B Class... Mercedes needed the CLA for compliance for CAFE, and I'm pretty sure they made the compromise of form over function without hesitating so they could market it as a styling equivalent of the CLS. I don't think it's a lack of effort either. Mercedes WANTS this. They want the whole lineup to be one sausage of different lengths. And not every single brand has to be all kinds of different for each model line. The other German brands are practically at this doorstep. HELL, every single Porsche is the same thing from the front. But I wouldn't care, but I do like the idea of a LWB E-Class - but it's come invariably from China so NOPE. That's a car that I could perhaps really like. Would I aspire for that? Maybe. But do I want that? Not as the SWB. So CT6 and Continental it is.
