  1. Perhaps. But not by 2030. Too many stubborn old farts like me still around that prefer the good old V8. Maybe one day. But not that soon IMO. And I forgot to mention in the previous post,. The wheels all go round and round.
  2. Ok, here goes. Off road truck or SUV Power Wagon. 59K Daily driver Power Wagon already paid for. I daily drive my truck. Long distance Power Wagon,. It was the crew cab. Already paid for. I would use the fully optioned luxury truck for long distance with my travel trailer/toy hauler. I believe that takes care of one price category. Leaving me to combine the others making about 120k available. Track burner Hellcat or Demon if the Demon is in 120K budget. Done
  3. Most cars have four wheels. But some cars have three wheels. No cars have two wheels because then they would be bikes. However some bikes do have three wheels and they still are not cars. Then there are some cars that have more than four wheels and they are still cars. Cars have many kinds of wheels. And they come with three or more of those Wheels. Ok. Now what do you want to talk about?
  4. Motor Trend forums died because the forum software sucks so bad and the powers that be seemed to not care. The moderators there did what they could to no avail. The end. After hundreds of requests to fix the form falling on deaf ears the members finally threw in the towel and moved on. It was in a Motor Trend thread one member mentioned this place. That's how myself and a handful of others discovered this form.
  5. But I never got a chance to light a match next to the powder keg
  6. I don't troll, I fish. . I suppose some may call that trolling. . Maybe I'll start fishing around here.
  7. "total of 7 concepts to gauge Jeep Enthusiasts feedback." What they meant to say is Total of 7 concepts that may be nice, and people will want, but will likely never see production.
  8. Hr seems to have the honor of being the only one banned for life.
  9. California has no clue how to budget. The only thing they understand is gouging business and individuals to support bloated government. They say this time the revenue from this tax will only be used for its stated purpose. Yea, heard that more than once. . You can bet industry that has the ability will just shift things to another state if they have the ability. I know my company is now just going to register it's truck fleet outside California because they can. It will save them thousands and California will loose all that revenue. Multiply that by everyone else that will do similar and California looses millions/billions. Though the average person has no way do dodge the registration fee. And nothing can be done about what you pay if you pull up to the pump. As for diesel,. It's already more expensive than premium I'm much of California. Now even more so. Kinda kills any benefit to getting something like the Cruze or TDI of some kind. Which I'm sure the greenies will like.
  10. I thought he was already permabanned from here.
  11. I've always been carfull about links for obvious reasons, but I suppose there is no harm now. I made a short farewell post to CF about ten hours ago and there has really been no traffic since, and/or for a long time before. The forum died long ago with the format change IMO. However the powers that be for whatever reason decided the direction they wanted to go didn't warrant the pleads of myself and others to go back to the working format. Anyhow, http://www.carfanaticsforum.com/topic/cf-is-shutting-down/
  12. I've been more active on this Farm today then I have on most forms in recent times. Then I see you decided to come aboard. And with that many other familiar names. I do believe that I have found myself a new home. For better or worse I am here now. In Drews case that is probably for Worse. But I can not take full credit for that, as I mentioned there are a lot of familiar names popping up all of a sudden. Drew will have his hands full now LOL.
  13. I am certain that about 10 minutes ago I made a post saying almost the exact same thing with almost the exact same quoted text. WTF happened? As I do not post here very often I'm wondering is that common?
  14. And how many of those are/were #s matching 396 SS's? Of those that were,. How many are left. Of those that are left, how many are unmolested Originals?
  15. That's unfortunate. I don't know why GM (and and other makes) believe certain engine options must come with leather seats. Kind of like wanting a diesel option in the Colorado canyon twins. For those that want that option that's fine, as long as they want leather and everything else that can't be option out for the truck. I could picture families wanting the space of the Suburban for things like going on vacation with the engine option for taking their travel trailer or boat or toys with them also. The 5.3 is a decent motor but it's already in a very heavy vehicle. Seems like there could be a market for the 6.2 to be an option without getting a Denali.
  16. As long as there is no cutting involved. IMO Sawzall and rare classic metal are not good combos, and should never meet each other. For those that believe it must be done, a higher volume less collectible/desirable/valuable car is preferable.
  17. We need to start a collection fund for the fuzzy dice now. The only question, which ones?
  18. Awesome. Numbers matching cars like yours are becoming a rarity. You should take before and after pictures of the process and progress so you can share with us. Just to keep us all drooling. Also I think it's great that you are keeping the same colors. It's nice to see the cars as stock as possible.
  19. . Sweet ride. I agree 17s are as big as you should go on rims. Both for looks and comfort. And the color is also good. Much more unique than a black Impala. Just wondering,. Is that a #s matching SS or a clone car? Knowing you I'm guessing it's the real deal.
  20. Agreed. 6.2 in the Tahoe could add a bit of "sport" fun. A "sport" Suburban is just a bit silly. However the 6.2 in the Suburban makes a lot of sense due to its girth. The larger engine would do a lot for towing and Hauling in something as huge as the Suburban. From a practicality standpoint, it is a bit shortsighted to not put it and the larger vehicle. I don't know, I have not looked into it, is it some option you can check and still have that engine in the Suburban?
  21. Hybred Wrangler, because it would not make more sense for FCA to hybredize half their other cars and SUV's to bring up the average. Because stuffing a hellcat engine in everything is going to meet EPA regulations. I'm not saying there is absolutely no merit for it. But I am saying FCA could take any number of different paths and achieve the same or better outcomes. Like perhaps taking a large family type car, Charger comes to mind, and making it something a family could see benefits from. I'm sure the Durango could benefit from hybred technology of some sort. I can think of a number of ways to implement hybred technology in the FCA lineup that could benefit FCA and it's costumers before looking at the Wrangler. Like I said, the 4X4 community isn't exactly clamoring for this. However there are a number of other buyers that would welcome such things. Buy them in bigger numbers making it a win for both consumer and FCA. I just see this as more poor decisions from the brain of FCA. I suppose I'm not even surprised anymore by what they do.
  22. Hybred Wrangler. Because electric motors and battery banks love dirt, mud, sand, water, snow, and whatever other elements the Wrangler is designed to be in. Hybred Wrangler,. Because adding weight to what is supposed to be small and maneuverable is somehow a good idea. Hybred Wrangler, because adding more complexity and fail points on a trail vehicle is what the 4X4 community is beginning for. Hybred Wrangler, because FCA is retarded.
  23. Well, yea. They have been teasing various concepts for how many (I think about 17) years now. I'll believe it when it's on dealer lots.
