It was the Roto Hydramatic tranny... nicknamed the "Slim Jim". It shifted different than the typical Turbo-Hydro and was less durable. Phased out after 1964, I think Balthy is indicating that it was a standard item in the Catalina. Someone want to write up something about this? I've never heard of it before and I'd like to know the tech and history behind it. New thread. I like!

top speed on the Eco is like 124mph per car and driver this new issue. perhaps you should double verify their number +1
