You know, for all the harping that Goodyear gets, their tires seem to hold up pretty well... Even the Goodyear Conuests on the Cav are still holding up well for almost 50k. My Neighbor has the Goodyear Vivas (from wallyworld) on her 99 Sunfire and they still look good for almost 10k on them...

Neither-unless they know how to drive em......

It's done. With the new Mailbu out, there is no point to it anymore. And with Chevy getting smaller, I doubt that there will be a car bigger than the Malibu..... Unless GM feels the need to compete with the new Tarus, it's just another model cut at this point.....

? I think you are thinking of the mobil 1 Extended stuff...that can go 15k... I'm talking about the normal Mobil 1...that goes 3-7k.........

Yeah, I was in an A&F shopping for a gift , and this guy just wouldn't leave me alone... While shopping in the mall, he even visited me on his break....

The tires are similar to the stock tires on his car now (2004 Cav sedan), Goodyear Conquests. While most car people avoid Walmart (ex oil) stuff, they seem to be holding up well in everyday driving on my co worker's Civic..... I think he changes his oil around the same time I change the Mobil 1 in her car (3500 miles) since he does a good bit of city driving. From what I've heard, it holds up pretty well... I'm not really sure about the soap either, never tried that....

While saving some money, and trying to prove a point, my buddy is using those "other" brands for his car. He used to do some of the same things we do here to baby our cars (even his beater, a Cav like my wife's), but says no that now it's time to use some common sense, as most "stuff" out there is all the same..... I do find it interesting....(and he's not cheaping out on his classic Mustang..) Things he did this week... New Goodyear Viva 2s from Walmart Super Tech Full Syn oil (instead of Mobil 1) Super Tech Car Wash (instead of Mothers) It's a little different coming from a fellow car guy....what do you guys think?
