4-6...I think. Hard to tell when it's blowing everywhere...

My driveway won't change..much. I might upgrade the wagon (my beater)-though depending on where my new job lands-I may just finishing fixing what it needs and drive it a while longer. Though if I do replace it, it would be an older GM sedan (Malibu, Grand Am, Cavalier) The other two are close to being paid off (wife's coming up sooner) But I'd like to save some money for a good down payment, so I plan to hold out until at least sometime next year.... THough it wouldn't surprise me to have a saturn driveway ( Vue, Astra) by the end of 08... :AH-HA_wink:

There is no way this is going to happen. This is just another rumor to get GM's stock price up-that's about it. GM can't afford Chrysler...one only has to look at the numbers... I could see them buying a divsion (Jeep, maybe) or Van line, engines, or something....but not the whole thing. GM would have to be just about the dumbest company on earth to buy that much of a company-I don't want to think about the mess it would cause... Won't happen.

As far as looking at it-it's going to be a while-it's going to be like 10-15 degrees for a while.... No warm place to check it out. It used to do this once in a while-but this freezing weather has really brought it out. When it got around zero, I was almost doing it every time I got into the car. Thinking about it now-it could be either one. Though I have a question-I would I know if the motor is going?

I can't say it looks bad, I kinda like it. BUT, I can't judge from that pic. I need to see it in person, or at least a thousand more pics... :AH-HA_wink:

Ok, This is interesting.... My wagon has heat..when it wants... I turn the heat on-nothing comes out. Pop the hook-tap the fan-instant heat. Is something just stuck in there? Or could it be something more?

And in this weather too..that sucks.... Heck, throw a Spice Girls song on-it will make you laugh...

Not bad.

I try not to go though car washes on tracks.....they make me nervous... Why? While taking a break from school, I went out with a buddy for lunch. After lunch, he decides to get a quick car wash for his nearly new S-10. About 30 seconds into the wash-for whatever reason-the guy behind us freaks out after getting on the track. He hits the gas-and smashes the s-10 so hard it sets the airbags off. It scared the heck out of me. Lucky for us-after the accident-a classmate picked us up-so at least we didn't miss our next class. I will go through these car washes, but I tend to wash my own car first.

Looks ok...but needs power..lots more power...

I'll be interested to see how cheap they go. If they start dropping into Blazer territory (sub-10k), I would consider a used one. The engine is solid, and I could tow stuff...

And those are the people we tend to forget about too. When I injured both my back and knee a few years ago, I had the option to get a handicap hang tag for a few months. I chose to tough it out. The very next week we had a nice snowstorm. Just my luck...

If they were smart-they won't come back for a long time-or ever. The reason that Taurus can come back is-most of it buyers are still alive to remember the name...... They were both good cars-but nobody wants to waste money on a "junk"car-when you could buy a solid Civic? Those names no longer bring up joy-just someone's beater. The Cavalier was a pretty solid dependable car during it's lifetime, but the name will never come back- The J is for junk J-body name didn't just pop up yesterday....
