  1. THe big question is-could they price it right. Fans or not, price is going to be an issue... Not too bad looking though...
  2. You're right-it is from Louisiana.. The only Chevys that are not built here in the US (or Canada) would be the HHR, Aveo, and a few large Suvs (yukon)
  3. Besides the fact that it looks like someone gave the rear a wedgie, looks pretty much the same to me. Looks better though.
  4. Ditto.
  5. Yes.Very. Maybe they should give it to Cali?
  6. quoted for truth..
  7. ditto-
  8. As long as there is respect.. The only "traditional" family there needs to be is a happy one
  9. Croc-its ok- It's a current running gag Vipe has going againist Cali... he just throws it in there whenever he can...
  10. True... But you could either lay there and die, or go down fighting, in GM's case.... Maybe if Gm does get some fight in them, it might help...
  11. quoted for truth. Weather tends to get crazy around here..
  12. Wow. Looks good..much better than the current one.. Real curious to see the rear..and some hatch...I mean, coupe pictures...

    EW!!!

  15. I remember those...you had to run them into a tree to get them to stop running... :P
  16. It's funny you say that...There was a 86 Coupe around here I saw driven by an older couple that had 212k on it...and it was in pretty good shape... I went to school with two friends who beat the piss out of their Cavaliers, and both of those cavs ( 89 sedan w/2.2 91 coupe w/3.1) got around 200k....(i think the 89 got over, but have to double check of that one)
  17. And I thought it was just me... :P (ION)
  18. ok, I can understand where you are coming from. But If someone is willing to do what you do for half of what you make with no benefits, would you match that or lose your job. I do get tried of that " skilled" labor arguement- you can be replaced with better regardless whether you have a high demand job or not. There is (and will be) people that willing to do what it takes to get your job. And keep in mind-people should be paid by both how much they work, and how hard they work. Some of those "unskilled" you speak of often more more hours then the "skilled" to make that 50 or 60k. I myself am "skilled" and going back to school again-but here I struggle. :( So being paid what your worth means pretty much nothing- it isn't realistic enough. I have to disagree with the sad part- with all the layoffs and downsizing, there is more and more of that "28k" going around. And that, my friend, is very, very sad.... :(

  20. ION! ION! ION! :) If not ION, then Cobalt... ^_^
  21. No, that's how WE let the world work..
  22. The Market huh? So if I tell you you're worth 8 bucks an hour, you'll take it? What if they can't afford to aquire those skills? What about families? I can tell some of you don't have kids then.... kinda sad if a family is going to live on 28k...
  23. I think it has a lot to do with no longer having pride in America itself. If we did-we wouldn't all go out and by the cheapest thing possible. Once in a while, I see a few things that say made in the USA...then I laugh. It will be just a matter of time before nothing is no longer here..because it will be cheaper to make it somewhere else. I took pride in buying my Cavalier, knowing that I'm supporting someone in L-town....one of many reasons that I bought it. I could have bought a Rio, or an Accent, or even a Civic. We shouldn't be happy with just being able to just get something....as Americans, And American companies ,should take care of things here first. Wall street has everyone so worried about profit, companies will do whatever it takes to hit those high profits marks. By this time next year, Nothwest will have no unions. There won't be a point. The union employees could strike, like our current ones, which will never come back to work. If Northwest does come out of this-workers will make about 40% less than they do now. Have pride? Why? I might be cheaper to have somewhere else...
  24. +1 I'm glad reg feels the same way about those shifters,,,,
  25. Are we talking about the engine or gas tanks? Confused...
