  1. highlander looks girly, which is not good for an SUV, IMO. Other 2 are plain ugly, the xD the absolute worst. It's just... so... ugh.
  2. looks fine (though bland), but the name is dumb, IMO.
  3. what the heck is it? Is it sweating? and smiling? wha?
  4. I think he meant the Antara concept.
  5. Can someone correct the spelling of "Astra" in the thread title? It's bugging me every time I read it...
  6. ignition switch? coils? what's it need specifically?
  7. I was a sales person for a week. Not for me.
  8. One more reason to BUILD THE NEXT GEN HERE! Import some for a year or two, I don't care, but please build the next gen here, GM! (Preferably in Spring Hill. )
  9. you'll use less fuel if it's in gear - it won't feed fuel to the engine until the RPMs drop low enough that it needs to maintain an idle. The wear & tear on the engine & tranny are minimal, unless RPMs are really high.
  10. Happens to all of us from time to time, I think.
  11. Because they want to promote/sell Grand Prix GXP's, not 'vettes...
  12. I think it all looks fine except the wing.
  13. wow, that's ugly. The red around the windows...what the??? I thought someone had MSPainted it on there it looked so out of place.
  14. I don't prefer the look, but if it performs (handles) better, than I prefer that to cramming the largest wheel possible in there. The "bling" term was meant to be stupid - a parallel of the thought of ignoring performance purely for looks. Guess there are plenty of customers that will ignore performance and prefer looks, so maybe you're right about 17's needed as an option...
  15. Maybe you need to get past a "bigger has to be better" attitude? a 15 or 16 could easily be more optimal for performance on a car this size, so unless it's all about bling...
  16. I think it looks fine for a simple large car.
  17. I hate to be a pessimist on such a neat concept, but history has taught us not to bank on tremendous leaps in battery technology...
  18. good day to fix my sunroof finally... stupid rivet head popped off, leaving one end of a water trough to rattle.
  19. Read this in the paper today. I just rolled my eyes, especially when I got to the part where someone from Toyota responded by saying that Toyota wasn't worried about becoming #1, but just wanted to focus on quality. Yeah right. We've heard the opposite of both of these (GM & Toyota's) comments before - GM saying they aren't concerned about staying #1, but wanted to focus on quality/profitability, and Toyota saying that they are #1 bound... Two companies trying to be all things to all people...
  20. I agree - it'd look pretty sweet if the whole thing lit up, but with only that short section, it looks stupid. This special ed looks decent. Still, I liked the tC for about a month, and then it just seemed boring. Just doesn't seem unique enough for what Scion is supposed to be. Just seems like it ought to be just another Toyota. *shrug*

You have to find Zelda (the first one) - it rox! (the second one... does not)
  22. Aura, not Astra...
  23. don't need a lot of hp in a 2400 lb car. The twin cam S-Series are very peppy cars, 35mpg highway (multiple owners report higher real life), polymer on space frame construction holds up well (considering the car's size & weight) in an accident, automatic trannys had spin-on filters, so changing the tranny fluid & filter is as easy as changing the oil, plus the cars are very easy to work on. Not that I'm biased...
  24. The Good Shepard was very well done, quite interesting, ... and kind of depressing. But a good movie. Doesn't leave you with sunshine & lollipops, though.
