  1. Two "n's" in Anniston, Reg. If you like her so much, then learn to spell her last name. :AH-HA_wink: Yes, we know Balthy likes her in a big way. To me, she's the Maureen McCormick of the new millenium. They look a lot alike, though Maureen McCormick was more "peaches and cream" and that probably took Ms. McCormick out of the running for being considered "hot." I've never thought "hot" is good, but "pretty" or "beautiful" is.
  2. Andrea Bocelli... ...best voice ever...and I'm NOT ashamed to admit it.
  3. ESTJ...time and time again (Most people would read me like an "E," but I enjoy my own company and don't get close to many people so I wonder if I'm on the borderline of "I") I am in agreement with the STJ part, though.
  4. I only know 3 things about David Hasselhoff: 1. His hair is TOO coiffed 2. He was in the show with the Firebird and Baywatch...neither of which I expended any time to watch 3. He was waiting on tables in the Marina del Rey when he got discovered...L.A. waiter turned actor...isn't that original? You mean he sings, too, Reg? C'mon!
  5. Anybody that's had one of these loves these cars. And, very true, it is the smallest platform you can get that gives a big car ride. I was thinking...the reason this platform has had such a long history, beyond the obvious reliability, is probably because it is so many things to so many people.
  6. How could I forget. The Intrigue. Best looking W-body vehicle ever. Period.
  7. Tim Horton's! Damn. I love that place when I'm in Canada. I think their donuts are better than either Winchell's or Dunkin Donuts. Peter's Drive-In. I'll file that away. I expect to be in Banff/Canadian Rockies next summer.
  8. Last time I checked, I wasn't fat, lazy and stupid. :AH-HA_wink:
  9. Absolutely. But mostly for fast food, rarely for banking. The most important thing is that you look at the line ahead of time to see how long it is. If it's ridiculously long, then I won't use one. Two caveats: 1) I always look at my order when they hand me the bag of food. On a few occasions, they have forgotten the dipping sauce for my chicken nuggets... and I've had to tell them to pony-up 2) You had better look at the neighborhood and general environment of the drive through. Some people have fallen to attacks or confrontations since you are wedged into a limited space with not much wiggle room. Our controller at work told me that her son was in one of these late of night in a "middle" middle-class part of town and he had a fist come through the window which bloodied him up and caused him to go to ER. So, you have to scope out how it's laid out. Since hearing that story, I'm a little more cautious.
  10. Thanks Delta! Yep, the first one is my sled. That one looks like a '90 or so. Mine is a '92...though not a Gran Sport. It has been the best car I've ever owned. The second one is what could be my next sled. If they'd only fix that front end. What's really funny here is the "spread" of the W-body. Ifyou look at Chilton's, it runs the gamut from the Lumina that had a 4 cylinder in it with blackwalls, crank windows and very little in the way of options all the way to a LaCrosse CXS or a Grand Prix GTP with a DOHC V6 and DOD V8, respectively. That's a big spread. Also, I think the W-body was born in 1988, so it is about to turn 19. Actually, if you buy one of these, you should feel pretty comfortable that you've made a solid automotive purchase.
  11. These are gremlins. It would be better if it's a switch rather than a motor. Intermittent means it's probably not the motor itself. Either the switch or a short of some sort. For now, I am glad I have manuals. The only time I don't like them is when you want to roll down a window and talk to someone out the pasenger side.

Qualche giorno, ti daro' il mal'occhio! Hehehe.
  13. Wow. And if they introduced a regimen or started up the discipline, just think how that could play out. It's like "give an inch, take a mile." Good luck going "backwards" with this kind of stuff. I'm reading a lot of the dynamics here between my older brother and myself. (I take it you are older than her). He followed my parents blueprint and I refused to. But my stuff was more about picking which Catholic HS I wanted to go to, what classes I wanted to take, etc., etc. and not about partying, staying out late or avoiding chores. Except for the errant toilet papering and egging spree, I was a very good teenager. When my parents told him what to do (and they had no business doing so), he did it and resents me for telling them to 'eff off and doing what I wanted. In fact, my brother's motto ought to be: "Oh, he does what he wants" referring to his married male friends who do what they want, despite the fact that they are married and have kids. I often wonder how miserable he is since he has caved in to being "PW'd" by his wife (a bitch on wheels), something that my father (when he was alive) marveled at and something my father effectively trained me never to be. LOL.
