  1. very nice! the fuel cap is way cool.
  2. exactly. imagine all the hair pulling going on. If you hedge your bets and go small, at least if it does go big in the market again, you can still sell the smaller car because the prices will be cheaper and people will always buy a good bargain. Trying to unload bigger cars that are overpriced is a bigger risk right now.
  3. and change the saturn logo to the Opel logo please!
  4. asian opel. very mazda3, impreza, etc. the form is softer. what i like about the current gen is the definition of creases and lines in the body, it looks more muscular than typical imports. this looks a bit derivitive and less german. like it was watered down to sell against toyotas here in the US and AU. still, if this turns out to be GM's best compact, then booyah! just please give it a 6 speed and some decent powertrain options. i hope they don't dumb down the interior finish quality for US market to cut costs. Wait, this is GM, so yeah, that's probably a given. all that said, i'd likely buy one. it looks on par with the ford products. US makes will have competitive product! It just needs to get here! Why do we need to wait till 011 model year? Damn GM, you take forever. GM should have building commuter cars on time to market should be second nature by now. in the US, we better have sedans and wagons to go with the hatches. It looks like they ditched the wide cut line of the rear door in the back. Too bad, it really makes getting in and out of the vehicle a lot easier.
  5. its udderly important

  8. if i am going to be coerced into consuming breast milk, then dammit, I am gonna take it straight from the source. Not from ice cream for crying out loud. Sometimes its not the milk, but the container, that matters.
  9. you think we can tie Palin thread to the human milk in ice cream thread? I think it can be done.
  10. great write up. the 2.4 in the epsilon is a great car that is not quite getting enough love in the general public.
  11. sorry for the delay, i hope to get this up tomorrow. to repeat, fun car.
  12. Edmunds full test FIt Sport
  13. edmunds revised full FIT SPORT TEST
  14. i've heard snippets of this disc and i am not a metal head although i like the black album. the parts i heard were pretty ok.
  15. On the urging of my neighbor who owns an SX4 crossover and loves it, i took out an SX4 manual sedan today. Fun car! some caveats, which I will get to. Give me a bit and I will get that up. I drove an XL7 also, but that sucked so I won't write much on that.
  16. he was late taking action on ford. quite a bit later with the kitties i see. there's a few certain things in life. death, taxes, and the Lions will suck! Bring back WAYNE FONTES!!!!!
  17. science + technology = SCIENTOLOGY
  18. lol....saturn will soon be opel......
  19. car- Fit, Mazda6, Flex, in that order. (mainly because the Fit is good mpg) truck- Ram or Vue hybrid (ram because of new rear suspenders), or F-150 if Ford is bribing the right people. Contenders for 2009 Car of the Year include: Audi A4 - nice but not any better than its competition BMW 1-Series -small heavy and pricey Cadillac CTS-V too much hp great car but seriously its not green Dodge Challenger cheap interior and exterior wasnt quite good enough plus its not green Ford Flex - could win points for being a 'game changer' and signifies ford improving its product Honda Fit - they toned it down and kept the mpg and utility...i bet it wins Hyundai Genesis - not enough style to win Jaguar XF - too lavish, although if it did win i wouldnt be surprised Lincoln MKS - kudos but not enough WOW Mazda Mazda6 - the latest state of the art in practical midsize, which is why i think it wins Nissan GT-R - no one wants this to win. its a cartoon car. Pontiac G8 - last year, maybe, this year no. Toyota Venza - yuck. Volkswagen Jetta TDI - nice idea but even with diesel its not like a VW diesel is a new thing And the contenders for the 2009 Truck of the Year include: BMW X6 -fat and ugly Chevrolet Traverse - could surprise but we already have the outlook and acadia Dodge Ram - the new rear suspension will win this category Ford F-150 - they didn't outdo dodge Honda Pilot - too bad its a freakshow. Infiniti FX 35/50 - gluttonous Kia Borrego - dull and too big Mercedes-Benz ML320 BlueTec again its only a diesel not like we havent seen that before Nissan Murano - popular vehicle but not that different than before Saturn Vue Hybrid - dual mode is the distinction that might win it, good vehicle otherwise Subaru Forester - nice ride but its just another asian cute ute brings nothing new to the table Volkswagen Tiguan - no cargo space, why its on here i dont know
  20. on ESPN dot come it even says that Bill Ford Jr. wishes Millen was outta there.....LOL
  21. GM seriously could get pontiac to survive with a G8 and a G6 both on Zeta/Alpha. Make the solstice alpha too. make the g8 and g6 sedan/wagon/coupe. then, a compact or two (a hatch and a sedan). If the Zeta had a fuel efficient 6 as one of its choices, and if the g6 has a fuel efficient but poweful four, i think they could survive. The G8 and G6 would be just like the 3 and 5 series are to BMW....only a couple chassis, but variations allow a lot of uniqueness. Pontiac could survive on Alpha, Zeta, and sharing a Delta chassis. If G6 went Eps 2 I wouldnt cry. GM just chooses not to go the distance. They dont want to invest enough in the cars to make them pure and special.
  22. thanks for the pics Ted. the routan, its amazing how they got it to look so nice compared to the dodge, etc. cc is nice too. Now, if VW could get a rep like toyo they'd be on to something.
  23. it'd be cool to see if they can tune a lambda caddy to run the nurburgring in record time.....
  24. a fellow member at chuch it up i spoke with this morning, admiring his spanking new Lincoln MKz..... 30 mpg+ achieved recently on a trip from twin cities to IOWAY and back. this is with the new 3.5.
  25. um, the pictures of the interior. looks like the same old cheap $h! GM has put in the interior of their cars for a looooooong time now. the stuff that looks great for a bit after you spray apply high gloss armor all. the pic ted posted, with the skylark, and the new one below it. looks like the plastic spec for buick hasn't changed.
