  1. inifiniti M is a snoozer on wheels
  2. which is why it will sell. just like a middle aged princess wife, also, the land cruiser won't perform, either.
  3. you still nailed them though, right? thread=carry on
  4. how much record company (richard) did amy S&F to get her contract? no one who's 23 has lived enough to sing the blues. very few anyways.
  5. hey, wait, are you sure the article shouldn't say "Honda sued over horsepower claims" honda claims their vteccy cars have power but 100% of the time, they don't.
  6. astra is not premium. its probably not as good as the mazda 3. and the mazda 3 is baseline acceptable mainstream compact. so if the astra cannot outperform the 3 and out value the 3 then its not worth the extra $$$$$. will the astra even outperform a rabbit? it simply depends how many options you get. if you keep the options sheet modest and the price closer to base, then the astra is not a big sin. it is just a delta. its not much more advanced than a cobalt. cobalt with a nice interior. don't buy the hype. the mini is not really worth what they get for it either. the one thing the mini does have is iconic style the astra does not. don't get me wrong, i like the astra. i hope they don't try to make this another 9-2x debacle. when i can go get a mazdaspeed3 for 22 and change it pretty much destroys the value arguments for any other compact/subcompact. where i do see a favorable comparison for the astra is vs. the civic. the civic is dung and the astra is a much nicer package overall. corolla is not a real valid comparo since its just a commuter car.
  7. i've got plenty of gas right now and i won't charge you a single dime for it.
  8. with only a weak 1.8 four pot under the hood. please don't include the civic with that otherwise excellent bunch.
  9. i'm just saying the car won't be worth the extra money. despite whether its 'rare' or not. for 20 grand, get an Aura FCS.
  10. my sister's 01/02 was fine in almost 100k miles. the focus has been recommended for reliability/buy for many years now. astra and focus is almost apples to apples. similar size config and hp. astra has a nicer interior and probably has a small advantage in ride and handling but we don't know for sure how great if any that advantage is yet. if the real world price gap is 6-10 grand that is very diminishing returns. few choose small cars except for value reasons, then value rules much greater in weight than the minute differences in performance. there is a price threshold where buying a small car of just about any brand is not a good idea because you can upgrade to midsize and come out better. fine, cuz i know you dislike ford, but c'mon, the astra's got a 4 speed auto and 1.8 litre motor without much power. not the stuff that puts the car in a class as a sleeper competitor with a volvo c30 or a3 or something like that.
  11. lots of female pop stars got their star status due to being skank (jessica simpson, mariah carey, madonna britney, clay aiken, etc.) my guess is amy had no issues with location/orifice, dry/wet, weapons and voilence, spt/swllw. can you imagine her as being nothing other than a live place to put the pokey? that gets you a lot of things. apparently i hope her career is done. it's time to stop affirming these gals beings wh00res first and musicians second or not at all.
  12. fabulous interior. exterior is a letdown. screw lexus.
  13. HALF ASS! did they even change anything? it's 1993?
  14. 3 door astra 20+ 3 door focus 07 model with closeout pricing -10-14k.
  15. imagine the cherry pie song by warrant with the mutt treatment. people need to give some props to beau hill......winger warrant ratt....he did as much to be considered at the top as anyone.....
  16. yeah its a lot, but its a way of manipulating the base price so they can advertise the cheap base manuals for a lower price.
  17. i heard the latest was we would get an alpha pontiac to go with the g8, but that the g6 would remain as well, as a lower priced, more volume, entry level pontiac. i guess imo, that's alright.
  18. amy winehouse is in rehab
  19. a pillarless hardtop might be able to be designed to be safe, but visual lack of structure is unsettling for many buyers. just like a three season porch suspended by a couple of slender posts.....it might do the job, but it looks suggest its very weak and not able to keep from collapsing.
  20. artists that mutt lange should produce KISS POISON GNR VAN HALEN RATT BRITNEY (KFED TOO)
  21. its all holden workers in AU
  22. wow, there are a lot of painsintheass on this thread. the malibu looks like a good car. do we need another thread about people having sex with a camry or impending GM bankruptcy? the malibu is vastly improved, and if the aura is an indication, is a very good car. if you really want a camry and the loser stigma that goes with it, be my guest. like c/d says......toyota never designs their cars to outperform, just to outsell. chevy is the one nameplate that could bite into camry sales if it takes off.
  23. cabin clautrophobia is the deal breaker for me in the HHR.
  24. TB is still relevant. some folks want a real truck. what is lacking is a cosmetic reskin and a COMPLETE INTERIOR REDO. a gorgeous interior. with TIGHT gaps, premium materials and attractive design. good seats. 6 speed auto and squeeze out some mpg. safety updates. these models are a great value and deserve a refresh. my dad would maybe pop for one to replace the S10, he would not spend what they are asking for an Acadia. this shows you why GM management needs to be hazed. 7 years and no interior redo or other meaningful updates. folks ought to be fired for that.
