  1. SRX has only been delyared six months, and it's for a complete overhaul instead of an MCE. The CTS, Ion, Vue are all still seemingly on track for that year. We still haven't receieved the full word on the 361's, though the last thing ah-ha said about it was there was no need to worry since it was cancelled, in a very cryptic fashion. I still expect a MCE for at least the TB, but more like just an interior refresh like 91z4me said.
  2. terrific review....there were no complaints anywhere aside from the lack of a flat folding rear seat. they praised the interior; I think it should prove to be a very high quality interior after all. the rest of the review was spent praising it for being nimble, luxurious, convenienty, ergonomic, quality, powerful, and they called it the best full-sizer ever.
  3. My mind was already swaying when I read this, because of the talk of abandoned dirt roads in Santa Barbra, and then this came along, and I just busted laughing. WTH? When has that word ever been used in that context.
  4. they're all genious. 24. It's rained two inches and reports of street flooding are on the news. 25. It's rained for two weeks straight, the only two weeks out of the last year that it's rained, and Los Angelenos are on the news, literally crying asking why this is happenning to Los Angeles. 26. You're from somewhere else, it's been six months and it's been sunny everyday. You stand outside on your balcony, it's February, Chicago has below zero temps, and it's 70 and it's perfectly cloudless.
  5. I can too. My back has always had these stretch marks that look like I was whipped or something. I've had them for as long as I can remember, even before I fully grew, so they're not stretch marks. I was always pretty self conscious about them.
  6. just us three! let's decide on somewhere to eat tonight. if you guys can't figure it out then we should just meet around 11 at the show, since that's the plan croc originally worked out with OC. I will definitely be online tonight.
  7. If financially feasible, this would be the best kind of car to give Pontiac imo, with the Camaro and CTC crowding the upper end of the coupe market. I agree that a 4 door GTO coupe like someone mentioned above would be a better formula, or let the G8 handle it and after a few years maybe a GTO could come back. As it is, the only thing GTO is doing is giving Pontiac some performance credibility and not selling in any wild numbers. But the car you mentioned above sounds fantastic, and leveraging a model across Buick would be a great idea as well. I think you know my desire for seeing a 4 door off this car for Buick and Pontiac as well. Though a 4 door off the Camaro's wheelbase would work well for Buick and Pontiac too. It's encouraging to hear you talk about the CTC, since you previously stated there was no program for it. Cadillac needs coupes if only for image purposes and the design liberty you have with them. Young twenty-somethings, actors, models, in LA all drive luxury cars. There is a really big market for good looking coupes that offer some sort of status and image here.
  8. Why is he allowed to advertise his site here? I remember when bimmer posted a link to his site and got chewed out about it. But BM advertises his site and gets away with it? What is he giving you Josh to make you drink his kool-aid so much?
  9. (shakes head) why did I read this..... That's very detailed man. But congratulations, and it'll be the first of many experiences in your life. As I am now, I am much more ready to handle sexual situations, then I was when I was 18, even though I already had engaged in it before then.
  10. I am in, and I can do Friday or Saturday, but Saturday is definitely a bad day to go. Early morning Fri still sounds good to me.
  11. I have waited until now to post my repsonse to see if I still like this machine. I am thoroughly impressed with the exterior and interior of this machine. The interior----is nothing short of stunning and perfect in execution. I wish GM has the balls to release the accoutrements shown here as a special package. I also wish GM has the balls to sell this interior presented here, with all of the trim presented here, minus a couple of changes that won't affect it's overall presentation too much. I am letdown by the exterior presence of this SUV versus the Centieme. The Centieme is getting a bit old now, but it's just more muscular, more tout, more artful, and slightly less feminine looking than this machine. I also am not a huge fan of the RX cues present in the front, though they don't detract at all, I just saw less of it in the Centieme. The brown interior color is perfection--and should be used throughout Buick. The two tones of titanium and wood together are exquisite. I am flat wowed by this showing. The exterior is also beautiful, if only a little less so than the Centieme.
  12. interesting little S-Class ripoff.
  13. The design is elegant, tasteful, classy, and dynamic looking to boot. It may be unoriginal, but it looks great. The interior is beautiful, excepting the center stack, which is wierd to look at, and the height of the dash. Materails, quality, and the great use of wood throughout make it obvious what kind of car this is---one of the best sedans out there. If only Cadillac had something competitive with this. Oh, and 380 mofo hp, that's crazy! Under 5.5s? That's intense peformance, standard. Lexus is going for the big guns in the engine category. Give em all they could possibly want---I like that strategy.
  14. I will post detailed thoughts about this concept in the coming days, and on Fastlane too. It's everything I could have asked for, and the most glaring example of how considerate the process was in making this car and how much freedom the designers have been given to make something truly astounding, and the emphasis on design period at GM. I am curious about the comment about the global platform underpinning the Camaro and it "currently being used".
  15. OC and I haven't really decided on where to eat since both of us don't really know what's around there. Croc? any suggestions? I really hope I'll get over this latest bout with illness by then...
  16. it's amazing as is. echo bimmer325: could this be more perfect? No.
  17. Malibu's percentage is 50%. Don't have an exact figure for the Impala, but I remember it being somewhere around the 20-30% mark.
  18. an example of GM producing a design that meets the target market so dead on it will meet the competition head on, and between it and the Mustang, will single-handedly "revive" a dormant coupe market, and maybe even steal sales from the imports. everything from the proportions to the looks to the power to the interior are dead on accurate for the market this car seeks to chase. I truly believe it and the mustang can account together for around 400k sales.
  19. most assuredly the resemblance is there. I'm glad they didn't stick the bowtie and bar motif on the Camaro though. looks great in black too.
  20. this is by far a very balanced view on this issue. and I agree abstinence is the best way to stay safe, while not looking down upon people is necessary. and i also agree the long term effects can be severe. most definitely a gateway drug
  21. wooow, that is so hot, thanks for that chop. wow, it's just sooo much better than the Mustang, one of my fav verts right now. Oh, those broad shoulders look soooo good...hehe just look at those proportions.......drooooollllll
  22. so I guess they meant amazing for a Tahoe, and amazing for a GM. it'll certainly be worthy. hard plastics and all, at least the design is nice and most of the materials should be well done.
  23. at 186" OAL, this car is significantly shorter than the GTO [194? perhaps?]. It will be nimble, I promise
  24. moltar! where have you been buddy? those are the pictures everyone here went crazy about, a month ago, and I beleive you have already seen the red one in the other thread....
  25. The reason it has the image of blue hairs is because for many years, that has been all you see driving Buicks. Why is this? I don't know, but they haven't appealed to younger people for a long time. The Lacrosse, Lucerne, and RDV have all done a better job of this, but have still missed the mark.
