New gas mileage ratings helps Cobalt
Nope, this is standard driving anywhere between 30 and 45 mph top speed depending on the area of town. No I don't floor it (usually), drive like a maniac or ride with the parking brake on, thank you. It's best on the highway was 32.2 (all highway...it started dipping down once we got off into the city..that trip ended with 27.4 average) It doesn't get that 16.8 every time but that was the tank of gas that was all city. It usually averages 17-18 in the city and 25-27 on the highway It's inexcusable though, as my bigger, heavier car with 2 more cylinders gets 17-18 in the city and 27-29 on the highway. My girlfriend's car will do 24-26 city and 40-43 on the highway. I drive all of the cars the same. (I'm not one of those people who beat the $h! out of a rental). Oh, and my coworker with an `07 Civic gets 24-25 mpg all city.

New Chevrolet website up
As far as I can tell from a little surfing, Chevy's overall layout hasn't changed...it's just prettier. That being said some design aspects look a little cheap and forced (the "glowing" borders for example. It does lag quite a bit on the G4 I'm using. Honda's site does load quickly...but it's poorly designed. Every vehicle's page is completely different than the others with no cohesiveness to tie them together and let you know that it's one site. If it weren't for the Honda badge on the pages you'd think you were at a new site with every vehicle. I've always like Dodge's site for it's cohesive design, choice of colors, good layout, well made drop down menus, and ease of use. It also feels right. You get the sense of bold, machoness from the colors and design that ties into the Dodge theme. Whereas Chevy and Honda's sites do nothing to reflect the personality, or mission of the brand. My one gripe with the Dodge (as well as the Chrysler and Jeep sites) is that interior and exterior photos are not separated.

The United States of Toyota
Many Toyota and their import owners are stupid enough to believe that. many people with think Hyundai is more American than Buick because they saw it on TV and it told them so. Most people, by and large are stupid, they buy what they are told, not because the vehicle or item is actually better. Don't forget we live in a self loathing country...(us in the US anyway) Not everyone buys a Corolla or Civic just because they were told to or because they are bias assholes...but a lot of people do.

Some facts requested by the many knowledgeable members
Ah, thanks for clarifying. Is there a good link for information regarding the sludge issue along with the vehicles it effects and engines? Also did they recall or settle or what? Oh and a list of quality awards for GM, Ford, and.or Chrysler would be great.

The end of the "black-tie era" is near
Full integration allows for more unique designs as opposed to center stacks that all look the same (Malibu, Aura). Like them or not, at least the Camry and Accord have unique interiors compared to other cars in their respective brands. Mainly because the center power/volume knob and the buttons on either side of it somewhat resemble the shape of a tie. They do not integrated well into all vehicles...some are pretty good while some are horrible. I beg to differ about the DAT products.

Not going to happen. That's what the Challenger is for, and it's retro because of the bitching that the Charger isn't.

The overall design is a good deal better. Dodge is still one of my favorite sites in terms of design and color choices.

It is the volume...pressing it will turn the radio on or off. The black ties are very easy to use but their time has come...I'm tired of seeing them from everything from an Aveo to a 9-3...I look forward to integration. The best use of the black tie radio that made it look integrated is the Saturn Sky

Any car that can get that kind of mileage is impressive...kudos to the owner for not ricing it and for maintaining it well.

Movie stars and celebrities
I don't care at all about them...most are just egotistical jerks or morons. They're normal-ish people who happen to get more attention...big deal..I don't give a rat's ass.

-----> Julie's new Mercedes Benz
LOL @ PCS for making an arse out of himself The Benz is in quite god shape all things considered...interior's not bad either! As I said...sounds like an old truck when you start it but when it revs it sounds a lot like a Shadow

September 2007 Sales: Chrysler LLC
At least they are reducing fleets...its not great news like it is for GM...but it's not nearly as bad as Ford either.

Chevy Traverse to be priced ~$23,000
It may be bigger than the Trailblazer but it no doubt handles much better. The TB should be updated though...
