The AWD feature is awesome for a small car...is it available in the sedan?

But seriously...how hard is it for GM,, Ford, and Chrysler to build a quality interior? I mean...GM can get it right with th CTS...why not the rest of the cars?

I don't care for the sedan...it looks too stubby and tall like most small cars...but as a hatch I think it looks pretty good.

It was like choosing which one sucks less...I forget the reason the Mustang came in #2 but I know cheap interior had to do with it. they actually liked the Sebring's interior and the materials quality...but with the 2.7L/4-speed it was a slug, and teh softly sprung suspension didn't help. the G6 was faster but took a lot of hits for it's cheapo interior...I think the verdict was "GM cheaps out on everything but the price" or something like that. If the Sebring had the 3.5L/6-speed things would have been different.

Way to ignore what balthazar said as he predicted...of course that's expected for you to change topic and not acknowledge that you were wrong. If Cadillac were trying to emulate BMW, the interior of the CTS would be ugly and spartan, and the exterior would be a mess. Oh, and overall reliability would go down the drain.

Tell him you don't want to step down to a less reliable vehicle with exploding camshafts and see what he says. :AH-HA_wink:

Well then let me be the 2nd of many to complain about the Aura's cheap interior...particularly the flimsy door panels that make the Avenger's look good, and the ugly center stack design, controls that look not at all integrated, and the door panel plood/metallic plastic that doesn't quite line up with the dash. The overall design, like the Malibu's is nice...but it lacks the details.

They take them off in autoshows because people like to swipe them. I like how the coupe's headlights appear not to bulge.

That may be true, but no amount of good assembly hide the many cut-lines huddled around the center stack and that the center stack is ripped right out of the Aura.

As well as big Chryslers...yes you hate them of course but they do deserve mention.

I love that red. I think it looks great in SRT guise... The darker interior looks better too.

IMO, the center stack (Aura clone) and the cut-lines are the biggest offenders...fix that and maybe had some detailing to the door panels and it'd look great. So Kris or TED...what materials were soft touch in the Malibu?

So the running concept I have for my project involves a lot of facts about japn Inc. in refrnce to their less-than-perfect quality. This is the text I have for the poster so far: There is a Myth that Japanese vehicles are more reliable and superior to American vehicles. Did you know in 2006 Toyota recalled more cars than it sold? Did you know that the new Tundra’s 5.7L V8 has had exploding camshaft issues that result in catastrophic engine failure? Did you know the Tundra is the only pickup not to get a 5-star crash test rating? Or how about Honda’ recall of 2007 Civics because their wheel could potentially fall off? Perhaps Nissan’s recall of it’s 2.5L Altima due to engine fires? Did you know the Toyota FJ Cruiser is suffering from fractures in the unibody? Did you know Buick tied with Lexus for JD Power and Associates best overall quality? There are many American cars that will easily do around and more than 200,000 miles on their original drivetrain. I know...I own two of them. Looks like the Myth of superior Japanese quality is just that. What other facts are there...and please correct me if I made any mistakes with the ones I listed. Also...be sure to dig up some dirt on the Camry...my instructor owns one and reading about this stuff made her nervous...i want to throw in some facts about it too. :AH-HA_wink: Thanks guys!

The panels look misaligned around the center stack....and there's so many cut-lines in that area.
