  1. AMEN!!!!!!!!!!
  2. Indeed! I'm mostly familiar with the areas of Pittsburgh / Johnstown / Hollsopple PA ... as Dad grew up in that area. I love visiting that area ... and driving on those roads . And ... that '41 Packard is my favorite of those as well . 3. Hey Oldsmoboi, Hope you have a great time! Sorry I missed you this summer when I was in the Pittsburgh area twice (July and August).... 4. Glad to know your bro his home, Cory. If I may ask ... why does he have to take Lovenox? Or, did I miss something? I had to take it a while ago ... it isn't too difficult to inject yourself..... 5. Heh ... isn't it ironic that we vote in churches? My polling place is a church, too. Whatever happened to SEPARATION of church and state? Can't say I was overly joyed at having to WAIT to vote this time around..... Shouldn't we have "express lines" for those of us who vote in EVERY election, regardless of the candidates, the issues, the "importance"? That was the sentiment of a few of us as we waited in the lines this evening. Heck, I waited 3 times as long as I normally do to vote. That's great, of course, but why should those of us who vote in EVERY election wait for those who do not? Yes, I agree with the media's "historic" characterization of this election. But, aren't ALL elections historic? Listening to the reports over the last few days, you'd think that this was the ONLY election that has EVER mattered ... that this is the only election that should appear in history books. AND ...I'm still waiting for ANY political candidate to address the SINGLE population of the United States; all they talk about is helping "families" ... NOTHING whatsoever relevant to me. ...Since politicians are so big on "Minimum Wage" (the lowest hourly amount companies must pay employees), let's hear discussion about a MINIMUM VACATION (the days of vacation companies must at least allot to employees), too! ...Wouldn't it be nice if the politicians' power to raise campaign funds would translate into efforts to raise money for non-profit organizations and those in need? 8. I think they are basically the same ... at least, from what I've seen anyway.... Not really 100% sure, though. As for sandwiches, ocnblu has a good start. Only problem is ... that's more of an awesome sandwich ... and not exactly something to rant about ... maybe rave, instead . 12. Got gas in the '87 MC LS today ... $2.49 a gallon! AWESOME! He heh...just hope these lower prices don't reduce enthusiasm for alternative fuel projects.....never know when we might need that alternative fuel.... 14. Dad and Mom never had a '77-'79 Caprice. Though, one year when we visited in PA and flew (instead of driving), we rented a Caprice of that vintage. I prefer the Caprice of those 3 years ... because of the emblem . That'll be my next rant .
  15. Ah, cool. Glad you are used to colder weather. A friend of mine just recently moved to this area from the south for a job. I have a feeling winter time will be a shock to his system... he he. Ah, NE PA ... cool place!
  16. Yikes! Not too fond of that Taurus turned Camino ... but, the other 2, the classics, well, they just seem a bit better...lol. 18. Exactly. Though ... if it was a car that made my skin crawl, I might say something jokingly ... and see how she takes it.... *shrugs* Course, that would mean someone would want to date me...he heh. 19. Anyone else see the special on the Lincoln Highway this week? Just like the special PBS had last year about Route 66, the Lincoln Highway special increased my interest and enthusiasm for traveling the length of it one day. As I mentioned, I've traveled more of the Lincoln Highway than Route 66, by virtue of traveling in this area, specially IL RT 38 from Geneva IL west to Elburn IL and a bit beyond there ... as well as through Indiana, Ohio and PA along Route 30, which follows the Lincoln Highway more or less.... *sighs* If only I had more vacation time.....
  20. LOL! Well ... maybe I can rant about food next . Not wrong ... same attitude as me, more or less, anyway.... I'd take the Caprice Classic, though I'd prefer a '77-'79 model . *grins* Yes ... which is why I was intrigued to read more . LOL!
  21. Cool. Should be an interesting switch ... warm weather to cold weather ... in the cold months of the year.... Where in PA will you be?
  22. Ohhhh....AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS, Camino! Now ... I guess I need to get myself back to your neck of the PA woods, eh? Must be nice to have it out of the garage now! Woo hoo!!!!!!!!!
  23. Heh ... I know the feeling. The last few weeks, one night I'll be up until 3 or 4 in the morning ... the next night, in bed before 10:30p. The nights I stay up so late are nights I check in on the forums ... because I can't sleep anyway. I pay for it the next day, of course. Arg. Anyway, glad it is a GOOD exhausted!
