I know this SEEMS like a LONG way off, but in a way, it isn't. You do NOT have to go the entire trip...you can join us for as long or as short a time/distance as you want/are able.... And, I personally do not care what anyone drives during the trip. I think it'd be neat just to take the route....

Is anyone interested in this NO fee gathering??? I have left a message for the special events coordinator at Nick's Pizza about having this event at the Elgin/Randall Rd location. I hope to speak with that person this week...and go from there to finalize plans.... ALSO: I missed the Elgin Car Show, Saturday, September 6, 2008, because of the ValveReplacement/Adult Congenital Heart Association Chicagoland Mini Reunion that day in Geneva IL. Anyone else interested? In the coming weeks, I will begin to work out an "itinerary" of sorts. Cool! Looking forward to more pics! As for the interior ... wow ... all black? With white, I prefer the saddle/tan interior.... *grins* Yes, indeedy! *raises eyebrow* Silver stripes? I guess it kinda depends on the type of stripes . Ahhhhhh...glad someone else finally gets why I have an older car as a daily driver..... Tho, ironically, I have been considering a newer car, instead of the '77-'79 Caprice or '86-'88 MC LS as a daily winter beater...he heh.

THAT is a lot of jobs. I read elsewhere that the job # was closer to 3,500. But, even 2,700 is a bit too many, imho. *shrugs* I, too, have heard back things about BH dealerships, but I had a great experience with them in 1996 in Nashville TN. While I was there, they installed a new 350 V8 engine in my '79 MC...and I had NO problems with them...and no problems with the engine. *shrugs* Heck...each year I go back to Nashville, I stop at the dealership to see the guys I know there. This past November, however, one of 'em was on vacation and another one had left for another job. In any case, sure is one heck of a situation for BH and Ch#$r%*et..... From the pics I've seen, it looks good for a winter beater.... BUT, now that you noticed that '87 MC LS...well...may have to give that some consideration first .
