  1. Truck buyers aren’t interested in tundras, and it really doesn’t matter what they try to change that. It’s uncompetitive in many more areas than just power trains.
  2. ^ don’t see how that effected the crashed US sales (which, BTW, are supposedly poised to be the best ever in May). Also seems many other OEMs would be likewise affected; not seeing that either. Tesla is doing horribly bad, business-case wise, and has been all along. That’s primarily an internal issue, not a global trade issue.
  3. Marist College, Poughkeepsie NY. That's the Hudson River. Beautiful day, nice festivities, my younger son is now 'launched' upon the world. Graduated with honors, Nat'l Sci & Math Honor Society, and received a Baccalaureate Award for his work on the Marist Poll. Going into clinical laboratory work. He did a great job, has strong ambition; he'll do well.
  4. Sonic LTZ Turbo is a very solid, zippy lil hatch, and it doesn’t look like a tumescent tick doing it.
  5. Waiting for commencement to begin
  6. MB hasn’t made a penny of profit on any of their failed EV attempts.
  7. The issue with removing Musk is half of the brand’s fanboys think he’ a genius, the other half think he’s out of control.
  8. Yea- they went into recall overdrive after that thread. Total is at least 55 million since about ‘05. Is Ford anywhere near that? if it were Chevy or Ford, you could scarcely get away from that number, but because it’s Toyota, it goes unreported of course.
  9. From $358 to $200: the pain has settled in, hung curtains and planted the flower beds.
  10. Wonder what their model for this being successful was?
  11. Very thorough. My take on the corolla is as follows; much like a Kleenex tissue- if it's new, clean & uncrumpled, it has a latent function when needed. The very second it gets used, its garbage.
  12. Looks like 2018 was unusually goodyear for T. Maybe they’ve righted their listing ship... tho I would want a lot more data before recommending.
  13. So; it has good longevity but expect numerous trip to the dealer for all sorts of repairs. I guess some folk don’t mind those sorts of inconveniences, & maybe the rating pubs don’t feel those are negatives.
  14. My ‘04 just turned 190K (diesel). How’s your brother’s holding up?
  15. According to Wiki- the Tech Center has 710 acres of land.
  16. Liking the 6.2L expansion and the Elevation package becoming available on the CC. $2500 for the diesel is an outstanding price- if I was actively buying, I'd put that engine on the top of my list.
  17. I don't know if this is legit or not, or if it would stand up to a legal challenge. Retro-active auto equipment laws have a Mt Everest hill to climb to get enacted, and this is one of the most onerous to date.
  18. DeMauro is a blackened, moldy jack o lantern rotting on the front porch in the burgeoning spring warmth of May. In other words; unappealing & worthless. Tesla is getting plenty of blowback for quality that's -at times- worse than anything GM or Ford ever produced. At least, I've never seen any report of a GM car with a cracking/splitting body structure (A-pillar). The bloom is mostly off the rose and sales have tanked HARD.
  19. Anyone have any ideers on the occupancy of the RenCen by GM / other companies? I can see if they own the building and it has a lot of unleased space… but otherwise I would assume the move & purchase cost of another would be huge. Is there room for new construction in Warren @ the Tech Center?
