  3. Subaru will be bringing an all-new 2020 Subaru Outback wagon to the New York International Auto Show next week. Like its predecessor, the Outback will continue to be based on the Legacy sedan. Subaru debuted the all-new 2020 Legacy sedan at the Chicago Auto Show in February. We expect many of the updates to carry over from the Legacy. On the Legacy, the overall look doesn't change dramatically, however there is an all new modular platform under the skin with improved torsional rigidity and higher strength steel. The buy-up H6 engine is dropped in favor of a turbo-charged 2.4 liter box

  5. The 2020 Subaru Legacy at first glance seems to be playing it a bit safe. There isn't much differentiation between this and the outgoing Legacy in terms of the design aside from a wider grille, new headlights, and updated wheels. But under the skin, there are some drastic changes. It begins under the skin with the new Subaru Global Platform. This modular platform that underpins a number of recent Subaru models promises improved torsional rigidity due to more high-strength steel and improved structural adhesive. The suspension setup is comprised of MacPherson struts in the front and double-

  7. Subaru has announced that next week, it will be showing off the all-new 2020 Legacy at the Chicago Auto Show. To promote the announcement, the Japanese automaker has dropped a couple of teaser images. The exterior looks to be an evolution of the current shape, complete with the same headlights as on the 2018 Legacy. Previous spy photos hint at a larger grille and a lower roofline. We have a slightly better idea with the interior as it appears Subaru is going with a more premium look. There's also a large tablet screen that houses a number of functions for the driver and passenger. We can

  9. The 2018 Subaru Legacy finds itself in a difficult spot. Like other midsize sedans, the Legacy has been seeing its sales fall down as more buyers are trending towards trucks and utility vehicles. But Subaru is trying to stop the bleeding somewhat by introducing an updated Legacy with various improvements to the exterior and mechanical bits. Is it enough? Compared to the last Legacy I drove in 2015, the 2018 model has some minor changes. The front now comes with a wider grille, updated design for the headlights, and a new bumper. The 2.5i Sport adds blacked-out trim, fog lights, and a s

  11. The 2019 model year looks to be the year of the full-size truck. Alongside a redesigned Ram 1500, General Motors will be launching their next-generation Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra pickups. The new trucks will be bringing a number of improvements such as a lower curb weight thanks to new materials, updated powertrains, and some new tech. But the current-generation pickups will be sticking around for some time. The Truth About Cars came across GM's 2019 VIN code documents that were submitted to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. In them, GM lists the 2019 Chevrolet

  13. Subaru sent out a teaser picture of the Subaru Impreza Sedan concept due to be shown at the LA Auto Show next week. The Impreza Concept shows a far more rakish silhouette in the rear with more elegant wheel arches than the current Impreza sedan. From the B-pillar forward, expect the concept to be identical to the Impreza 5-Door Concept shown at the Tokyo Motor Show last month. Subaru will show the Impreza Sedan Concept at 2:35 PST on November 18th. Stay Tuned to CheersandGears.com for coverage of the LA Auto Show, and follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Google+. 15. If you were to ask me what midsize I would recommend for most people, I would say the Honda Accord. It may not be the most exciting or best looking midsize sedan on sale, but it gets the basics right. From a comfortable and spacious interior, to a powertrain delivers excellent power and fuel economy, the Accord got the basics right. I wasn’t sure if anyone could challenge the Accord. But on a cold December afternoon, a 2015 Subaru Legacy 2.5i Premium drove up for a week-long review. Could this be the sedan to challenge the Accord’s status as being one best midsize sedans? 17. Arguably the most significant debut at the 2014 Chicago Auto Show is the redesigned 2015 Subaru Legacy. The 2015 Legacy marks 25 years of the Legacy nameplate in the United States. Already know for some of the best fuel economy in the all-wheel drive car segment, the 2015 model continues with with a 26 city/35 highway preliminary EPA rating in the 2.5i model. The standard all-wheel drive now features standard torque vectoring. Engines have received a modest peak power increase however they now deliver that power over a broader RPM range. 19. Despite just showing off the new 2015 Legacy at the Chicago Auto Show, Subaru has some changes incoming. Car & Driver reports that the automaker is working on a replacement on 3.6L flat-six that will appear the mid-cycle refresh, most likely happening in three years. The new flat-six engine will be 3.0 liters and pack more power than the current 256 horsepower from the 3.6L. Its unknown if the engine will have direct-injection or a turbocharger. Also, Subaru is considering dropping in the direct-injected and turbocharged 2.0L FA boxer-four engine that is found in the Forester XT and WRX.

  21. Just a few months after Subaru showed off the Legacy Concept at the LA Auto Show, the company announced that the 2015 Legacy will make its official debut next week at the Chicago Show. Along with that announcement, the company released a teaser photo that gives us a few clues of what is in store for the new Legacy. The design looks to combining coupe-like styling elements and the profile of the Buick Regal. We'll have more information when the Legacy debuts next Thursday at Chicago.
