  1. Maybe they don't want to be found.
  2. ^ It basically looks good, but would like to see it with a more unique, proprietary look to it. I'm not swooning over the combination of the grille opening & the outer slices paired with it; could be better there.
  3. Curious; when a politician (or anyone in a public capacity) says "I take full responsibility", what exactly does that mean?? From my observation; absolutely zero.
  4. For a long time I thought there were 'weird' elements to the G1 design (the 'pod fins'), but I do think it fits here :
  5. Aren't split rims dangerous as F? There are a lot of different rim designs. this tool is intended for vintage rims that have a seam running perpendicularly; it need to be compressed for mounting/dismounting. Most of the other types of split are seamed radially. The worst is this, often called 'The Widowmaker' : I have rims with retaining rings, they are not considered dangerous, but of course it's always better to be safe than sorry.
  6. Vintage Atlas rim compressor- for split rims (1920-1930s).
  7. Anyone need one of these?
  8. I still think AMC did it better :
  9. Italian design is good (in general) down to about 18 inches from the ground. Below the height of 18-20 inches, they have no earthly idea how to terminate their designs.
  10. C'mon- that is NOT done by train wheelspin. RR rail is incredibly hard steel and I don't believe Jegs sells line locks that work on locomotives.
  11. It's not exactly common knowledge that the 'Michelin Man's name is "Bibendum"… but what even I didn't know is that that name is Latin for "We ought to have a drink". Really puts a spin (no pun intended) on the current 'safety tires' campaign. Michelin ran a contest with multiple prizes with the goal of changing the name, but in that the contest was held in 1922 and the name is still 'Bibendum', I guess nothing more appealing was suggested.
  12. I get your stance, Suav, but 'beautiful shapeless blob' and 'most storied' (??) still seem to miss the mark of simply 'beautiful cars'. My opinion; carry on.
  13. We were on paper-thin ice with the 73 A-body cars as it was, now the thread is officially done with post #40's contributions. Accord? Taurus? Wut? S'OK; I'll start another one, fresh, in the near future.
  14. I can't imagine a conscientious shopper giving serious consideration to the tacoma in light of the 50 million recalled toyoyos over the last 10 years, PLUS the factory buy-back (including 50% over market value 'hush money') to tacoma buyers for 6-some years of rotting frames & bodies.
  15. That's the norm in the truck market, Dave. Recall all the wild predictions about the Tundra/Titan 'Camry-izing' the truck segment?
  16. There's also a pretty big perceptional difference between an in-dash user interface (Sync3) and an out-of-sight transmission.
  17. I don't see why hollow fiberglas columns, 11" x 9-ft, need to weigh 175 lbs each.
  18. Turbine : same thing RE TRQ.
  19. Oh I would. GT, baby :
  20. ^ Blandsville.
  21. Here's some links to start off with: In Nov of 2012, GM marked the occurrence of the 1.5 millionth Duramax engine produced (intro'd in 2001). Here's a chart of diesel emissions limits over a span of years.
