  1. It’s only not standard, Max Trailering is not available with the TD.
  2. Yes; it runs off the center 2bbl. End carbs have no idle circuits/choke, only come online at about 75% throttle. 'Progressive' opening via mechanical linkage (was originally vacuum actuated, but no one wants that system now). A Q-Jet is a 2bbl that adds 2 more bbls. Tri-Power is a 2bbl that adds 4 more bbls. ? A Q-jet is commonly 750 cfm, Buicks, Cadillacs & a handful of hi-po GMs had 800 cfm. There was a hyper-uncommon 850 cfm Q-Jet, probably a RA IV or L88 piece. This tri-Power is 883 cfm.
  3. Tri-P loosely assembled to check fitment and that everything looked correct. Nice, don’tcha think?
  4. No X-31; didn’t want the rougher ride/ not going offroad ever. No max trailering- it tows 8800lbs as configured; that’s plenty. Plus, the Duramax kicks out the Max Trailering Pkg. • DuraMax 3.0TD ($2390) • Preferred package ($1320) • spray-in bedliner ($545) • floor liners ($210) • integrated trailer brake ($275) • bucket seats ($545) • Multi-Pro tailgate (this switched to standard equip during the long process. It was $445, but in going standard the base price rose $200) • Pacific Blue ($495) destination is $1695. MSRP : $56775
  5. Ya; I’m patient by nature, and frankly; it doesn’t seem real anyway, so it’s fine. Reminder; I signed a blank contract 12/24. But... am starting to feel a tingle... ?
  6. No; there’s no point IMO of continuing to try/ the decision has been made.
  7. Where's the "lifted" minivan? There was nothing lifted in the video...
  8. Cool- that means my Buick, having a 1:1 top gear, is also a sports car. I knew it! ?
  9. I grew up in a family of 5 plus a dog; we had a 2-row station wagon. We drove from NJ to FL & back (without the dog) and vacationed every summer in upstate NY (with the dog) and had no need for a 3rd row. Obviously. It strikes me that some critics feel that a 3rd row is ‘necessary’ (despite in some instances only adding ONE more passenger), but a pickup bed longer than 4-ft isn’t. ?
  10. Mach-E looks a lot better than this.
  11. What if they're "demanding" a 3-row Cullinan? Is Rolls just ignore those "demands"?
  12. Why can't families haul families in 5-seat vehicles?
  13. Are you going to set up a poll? I'm ready to vote. Then how come the XT6 doesn't outsell the XT5?
  14. Went by ship to RI. Going to come to NJ by 'carrier', but dealer didn't clarify if that meant only a truck, or rail then a truck.
  15. It's just not my era of appeal. I lived thru them, but they were never as good as the prior decade's same-segment stuff. - - - - - So the MI>NJ Cutlass must've been a '77, I'm fairly certain it was the V6. ... So I just looked the Cutlass guy up on FB- have not talked to him since we were in school together. He did work for Ford in Global Planning, now works for Hyundai's tech center. We were both going to automotive design, I have no idea if he went further than year 1; as I changed targets/schools after year 1.
  16. Rolls Cullinan only seats 5 (or 4). MB g-wagon only seats 5. Lambo Urus only seats 5. Why? When are those going to be cancelled?
  17. Lil' bit less- googlemaps from the port to my town is like 215 miles. Now just have to see how soon they load it and how direct their route is. We have a camping tent; with how empty the dealer lot is, I don't see why I couldn't camp out there for a few days and watch for the truck.
  18. I thought that Cutlass was the 3.8L V6, but can't remember; maybe you can save me the look-up time because you already know. That was 1985, the car was a '76 or '77. In looking at pics just now, I didn't recall it was that larger generation; it seemed smaller to me then. My buddy here has his '77 Malibu now, we did mention it once before here. Me no likey.
  19. Dealer called; truck is in Rhode Island. Next update Thursday.
  20. I think I've mentioned before; my buddy has a '77 Malibu 2-dr. It was a 250 CI I6, now it's a 454 V8. He was just asking me to help him find big block front springs for it this morning. Neat to see such a well-preserved one as the blue job linked above, but there's a lot of details on these cars that just screams 'cheap' to my eye.
  21. Precisely my point. See surreal's earlier posts; prior generation Escalade had optional 3rd rows; same size SUV.
