  1. I'll have to read it... It's about time something like this was done. I swear it appeared to me that all comparisons forgot the Montego existed.
  2. Nope... no misinterpretation on my side. I knew what you were saying, but the purpose of the trio were to illustrate the versatility of Kappa. Whether or not it was realistic wasn't what I was commenting on. That's what heinz was commenting on... "the purpose," or as he put it "to demonstrate." So for you to get his comment confused with the 2000 Nomad seemed odd.
  3. Come on Croc... the 2004 Nomad concept was on the Kappa platform to show the versatility of the Kappa platform (as he said). I'm sure he was referring to it since he mentioned Curve in the same post (which debuted at the same time as that Nomad.) I honestly don't see how you could have misinterpreted what he was referring to.
  4. That's awesome news... gives great credibility to the technology.
  5. The .5% failure rate is only in relation to this specific transmission problem. That does not mean other non-related problems haven't occurred on a case-by-case basis. However, Domesticated's comment wasn't appropriate.
  6. It's the firing order for a V8 engine... But I don't know which one...
  7. I recall the Cobalt's launch when it had to issue a recall on headlamps. There were like 2 Cobalts sold at the time... But GM was bashed by the media and C&G fans for failing to have a flawless launch. I personally can't imagine a more critical launch or more important mainstream Toyota vehicle than the Camry. Two recalls so far.

That is the Camaro concept isn't it??? First thing I noticed was the Dallas skyline. I just get homesick sometimes... LOL.
  9. You might want to go back and reread the Edmunds post from the Toyota Rep:
  10. Love it! Congrats! Fantastic looking roadster!
  11. I recommend checking this topic if you haven't already... http://www.cheersandgears.com/forums/index...wtopic=7992&hl=

HHmmmmm... because.... Technology issue? The 6-sp auto, high-powered V6, & LED illumination start to arrive at Buick with Enclave. (this is not taking into account that the LaCrosse & Rendezvous both had the 3.6l years before Saturn... along with Buick having V8s when Saturn doesn't) LaCrosse and Lucerne issue? The current LaCrosse & Lucerne are last minute rescue efforts by Lutz when he originally joined GM. He postponed both the Regal & LeSabre replacements by a year to upgrade on already developed vehicles. He renamed them both to help with Buick perception and to establish Buick's change in market direction. New Platform issue? Because Buick has recently remodeled product, it will take longer for their new products to show. Buick will receive EPSII before Saturn. Buick will also get Zeta when Saturn won't. Navigation issue? Navigation has been available on Lucerne for a while now. It's a $1,526 option.
  13. Interesting... Didn't know that. Thanks!
  14. We need pictures of the new interior two-tone color combo.
  15. They should eventually have the details about it, correct? Voluntary or not, don't they have to officially notify the NHTSA of the recall?
  16. I checked NHTSA.gov for their recall info... I could only find 1 recall listed for the 2007 Camry... It's on Airbags... Hopefully they'll have the info up soon on the Transmission.
  17. Oops... Fly beat me to it... different sites hosting the same story I guess.
  18. Was this it? http://radiationcentral.com/kiddofspeed/
  19. Maybe 68 will PM you his answer... I don't read minds. Thank you for staying on topic.

Despite what it appears, Saturn will not be repositioned above Buick. One look at the Outlook and Enclave makes that obvious. The next Gen LaCrosse will be positioned above the Aura as well. Saturn is actually becoming the Toyota & Honda fighter while Buick is moving to become a Tier2(?) premium/luxury brand... similar to Lincoln.
  21. Let's try to stay on the subject of Toyota Transmissions
  22. Any word of how this will impact the new Lexus ES350 which is already on sale? It has the 6-Speed standard.
  23. Hmmm..... imagine that... An official Lexus spoiler to accessorize their upscale $40k sedan. OHHHH! Check out their official Lexus faux wire wheels for that $40k sedan also!
  24. Yes... but that plan involves buying out thousands of dealers, along with tons of lawsuits... That's not the case with just merging B-P-GMC into 1 Brand. The Chevrolet dealership network can not absorb the 1 million+ buyers. Not to mention that many of these buyers would never buy a Chevrolet to begin with. GM would lose hundreds of thousands of buyers between dealership location changes along with no direct brand association between Chevrolet and the BPG Trio. Saturn is not a Chevy Clone nameplate. GM does not need to copy Toyota to be successful. There's more than one way to be successful. Toyota's way is just one of them... not the only one.
  25. True, they are in a consolidated sales channel, but: - All three brands are still marketed separately. - Sales are still figured separately. - "Average Buyer's Age" for the brands are figured separately. - Warranties are different. A single division could have broader appeal with more pull. The public wouldn't accept a GMC sedan just as 'Pontiac & Truck' is an unnatural combination. Buick is the only one of the three that would be able to deliver a full line-up while maintaining a premium reputation. Imagine the next GTO actually becoming a Buick GNX and picture how the market would react.
