FIX THIS WEBSITE
Thanks for the vocab lesson. We're all better people for it, though I probably should add that most of us probably understood what you said the first time. All I can say is, from the technical end of things, C&G is sound. The ball lies in Dreamhost's court. We've made that fact known to them and are working with them to bring about a resolution once and for all. Plus, this issue is one of many things the staff is working on, both C&G related and otherwise, so I ask for some patience. I will keep you abreast of anything we find out from the host. In the meantime, Fly has added a bunch of interesting photos and commentary from the South Florida Auto Show, and there's a very interesting tidbit on the new CTS-V. Why not take a look at those threads and give this one a rest?

1992 Oldsmobile Toronado
You know, given that you seldom own cars longer than 30 days, you might want to try looking up that insurance company .

SEMA: '08 Chevy Cobalt SS Turbo
I like it. This is the perfect sleeper - on the outside it's nothing more than your everyday Cobalt Sport, but much, much more powerful. I'm glad they're not doing anything major to the appearance - I was fearing the SEMA widebody front fascia from a couple of years ago. Still on my wish list, however, is for them to fit the coupe's taillights onto the sedan.

Anyone here good at programming in C?
I think that until someone decides to rewrite every single UNIX-based OS in a different language, there'll still be a need for C.

Impala VS. Grand Prix VS. LaCrosse
Having driven all three (the LaCrosse being a CXS), I'd say that either the Impala or the LaCrosse would fit the bill. The GP ride, even in base trim, is pretty firm and not floaty at all. And the seats were not comfortable at all for long trips. Look for an Impala review from me in a couple of days. I put 424 miles on a '08 LT yesterday.

Anyone here good at programming in C?
I'm a tad rusty with my C, but let me know what you have to do and I'll see if I can help.

Sheesh
Here's a little known fact about the Ridgeline: The engine isn't rated in horsepower - it's rated in Chuck-power. One Chuck-power is equal to the amount of energy released when Chuck Norris roundhouse-kicks a nuclear reactor causing it to explode and destroy half a country.

Kicking it old school, with the Brooklyn Bridge: Note - that's the Manhattan Bridge in the background.

Crossings
The Verrazano is a double-decker. I would think that we're looking at Staten Island, due to the apparent lack of city lights. Staten Island is a little more "suburbia" than you'd think given that it's one of the five boroughs of NYC...kind of like Nassau County on LI. I do love that bridge. I got to drive over it the first time this year, though I've been a passenger over it a few times. On the five-boro bike tour that they run in May, the last leg goes over the Verrazano onto Staten Island, with no cars on it. I'd love to take part in that one year.

Phils are NL East Champs!!!
Yeah, the Mets were so dominant early on with just Tom Glavine and the Super Friends for a starting rotation. It seems they didn't know what to do with themselves once they got the regulars back. I'm a Yankee fan, but I don't hate the Mets (it's their fans that can get under my skin) and I wanted them to get in. Good for the Phils though. They're a storied franchise that has suffered for too long.

How long will you wait for a parking spot?
I always park far, far away, to the point where my car looks like a tiny blue speck when standing at the storefront. I never have a problem finding one of those.

-----> Julie's new Mercedes Benz
Nice. These are as close to indestructible as it can get. Seriously think about converting it to run on cooking oil. That's actally a popular thing to do with these. I know someone who has one, and he fills it up for free. Restaurants have no problem giving him their used oil because they have to pay to dump it otherwise. Besides, your exhaust would smell like french fries

Lutz reveals B Pillar on the Camaro
It's no shock. We've known this for a while now. Don't be so quick to jump all over Sixty8. Riding in a hardtop is an experience that really does need to be brought back to the average Joe and Jane. With that said, I understand the decision to include a B-pillar. Chevy NEEDS to bring this car in substantially lower than the Mustang, and have it be a vastly superior car, for it to be a lasting success once the initial novelty wears off. Sit in a Mustang and it's easy to see where Ford cheaped out to get the thing priced where it's at. I'd rather Chevy stick a piece of metal connecting the roof and the quarter panel of the Camaro than go cheap on the interior, or the brakes, suspension, engine, safety features, etc. Everything from the base model upwards has got to be top notch. Besides, the first-gen is the only technical pillarless coupe anyway. Everything from 1970 on had a B-pillar, so it's not like having a B-pillar makes it not a Camaro.

Dead Dime.
Wow. Some hit. it's a good thing that didn't fall. You'd have had a big problem had the wires fell onto the roof, assuming it withstood the blow from the pole. You really are lucky, my friend. Hey, you know, if you really want to score some points with your girlfriend, you might want to see what you can do abour acquiring something like this

Dead Dime.
Wow...some hit. That truck gave up it's life to save yours. I'm glad you're OK, YJ. Lots of luck looking for a replacement. I don't blame you for wanting another S-10. They have their issues, but they're cheap and easy to fix, and, as you know, they hold up when it counts. You might be able to get an Xtreme (or the older S10 SS) for within reason.
