  1. The only reason that the Prius and Corolla aren't in the same class is because of that hatch and maybe an inch or two in width. Without looking at numbers (I do work at a Toyota dealership though), the Prius is waaaay closer to the Corolla in size than the Camry. I even think that the Prius is on the same basic platform as the 'Rolla.
  2. Personally, I love the Honda choir ad. But seeing the cog one was fascinating!
  3. The whole "large C-pillar creates privacy" thing just sounds like spin control for "we didn't want to engineer new doors." Plus, you have to lean forward to look out the window. Just tint the things and then you have your privacy!
  4. Um...wow. this is interesting, viable, and nice-looking. but why aren't they developing this system in a smaller car?
  5. I dunno...it's not an eyesore to look at... and it's way better than the Solara, Monte Carlo, and the new Sebring (albeit different types of car). Better than the G6? Nah, but this does look nice.
  6. What's sweet is that they took it in a far different direction than the Mariner, and I really think that will help the Mariner.
  7. It's like any other company with monopolistic tendencies. You can't blame Microsoft for wanting to make a profit and increase their market share, but they did it so well that they had to be contained. Toyota needs to be treated equally.
  8. The Pacifica has a sweet interior and I enjoy the refresh. It'd be sad to see this car go unless they have something really good to replace it.
  9. I like this because it's not overdone. Though it almost feels like it it isn't overdone, it doesn't belong in SEMA, eh?
  10. I like it because it isn't overdone. So it's not "gangster", but it's not "old fogey" either. It's just a hipper Buick.
  11. not really feeling this one as a SEMA car. it'd be nice to see as a normal production variant, though. I've always liked the Saab better than the Trailblazer or Yukon, and they did improve it even more.
  12. The posters over at The Truth About Cars would say that manual locks and windows are a good thing...http://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/?p=2375
  13. I really don't think this adds anything to the look. Since there are about 874923 variants on the 'Stang, you'll definitely find a better one somewhere.
  14. Sorry , but this thing is hideous. From its high stance to its old=school Saturn door handles to that back end, sheer ugly.

Interior is sweet, exterior is so-so.
  16. I like Acura front ends. Very few Asian marques can consistenly have appealing noses like Acura can. And I've only ever seen one EL on the road ever...Americans just aren't that into paying 25,000 for a dolled-up Civic.
  17. that undercuts the 'rolla i think
  18. Hyundai just needs to use better interior materials because their exteriors are pretty solid. And for goodness' sake, don't use glue that smells so bad. "That new car smell" is supposed to be GOOD!
  19. If the platform ain't broke, don't fix it. Unless the exterior is looking dated, then fix that. That front end is the best I've seen on a Toyota. The profile is more Lexus-like, and the interior, particularly the HVAC part of the stack, looks great. I just hope Ford can do just as well with their "new sheetmetal on a proven platform" Focus.
  20. Saw some in person, the styling isn't nice but it isn't as bad as the pictures.
  21. This just kinda surprised me though. Shouldn't GM kinda put sport utilities on the backburner for now?
