  1. It would be kinda sad to see a plant w/ as much history behind it as Oshawa go under. I hope that something can find a home there. The plant does have the latest updates to its manufacturing line so I am sure something will. Perhaps this will be a giant E-flex plant pumping out 400k E-flex vehicles and 100k Camaros!
  2. I entered Here is the link for my C&G friends: http://www.pontiacg8giveaway.com/
  3. The new CTS (08) is on the wide Sigma but has the original SWB that the previous car did. It may be easier to say that the CTS and STS are on the same chassis with the same width but the STS has a longer wheelbase.
  4. I don't think I am the only one that feels "eh" about this. I would loved to see more differentiation from the standard H3.
  5. The cost to buy isn't the bad part, it is the maintainance costs.
  6. I for one am just SHOCKED that the Provoq was a concept for the BRX. Shocked I tell you.
  7. What I think PCS is getting at is that GM is a worldwide company. GM Brazil utilizes a LOT of Opel models so I think GM Opel has more influence than GM NA.
  8. This looks great. I do wonder what the actual fuel economy will be though. I like the 'efficiency gauge' instead of a tach idea, pretty cool.
  9. This is a great point. Is Scion a separate brand in terms of marketing or CAFE? If so I don't think they can be counted as the same brand. Either way at this point I don't really care anymore. Toyota is starting to slide in quality while GM's brands are improving. Here's to the future then!
  10. You gotta issue a Bob Lutz stamp and use the Olds symbol on the flag.
  11. If you were an independent nation you could import a UTE tax free!
  12. http://www.disappearing-car-door.com/#html Really cool, I want this on my next car. GM get to work incorporating this into the Camaro/Impala!
  13. I seem to recall a boat load or two full of Hyundai's were sunk in transit to the US w/in the last year. Anyone want to wager how many vehicles were 'recovered' from those boats?
  14. Yeah but bring forth a class action lawsuit to a jury of the plaintiff's peers and what do you think the result will be? Even so not making it available on ANY model yet advertising it as standard on ALL models sounds like complete crap.
  15. The big black thing would be the intake manifold or at least the upper part of it. The squealing I have been told may be a bad pull or belt but I don't know, maybe a tensioner. Not a mechanic but that should point you in the right directions.
  16. Good PR is never a waste of money. Besides that was totally a 'what if'.
  17. 68, I am going to need some pics of the 'damage' and a diagram. I bet would could get this onto DIGG and lots of people will see how stupid this chick is!
  18. I would have guessed FJ Cruiser based on the description.
  19. Take your pic of Fiesta or Ka, both are smaller and both are great for their home markets.
  20. Yeah I know that realistically it won't happen, maybe if PCS wasn't spending all his time defying Bob Lutz's office he could work on that.
  21. I have seen both a red one and white one on the road. And even in white the car looks quite classy and not at all boring.
  22. I disagree but at this point it is just pissing in the wind since neither of us has any numbers or frames of references to go by.Edit: And I would take the old Focus over the 3, I just don't care for the styling. The Rabbit on the other hand would be in my top 2 of 3 doors (w/ C1 Focus being the other).
  23. Nope. It has product allocated to it already. But an early build out could likely be done at Willmington. Setup a small 'test' line and start cranking out some preproduction models and maybe a small first year build.
  24. May I introduce you guys to Fark.com They have Caturday threads all the time, basically whenever someone finds an article that involves a cat. Be sure to check out the Fark.com squirrel, be wary sometimes he can be quite teste.
