  1. Pretty nice, silver isn't the most flattering color, but I still think the Enclave is one of the smoothest designed vehicles from GM in decades. As for the Rendevous, great coincidence there
  2. Even then, the 300's sales are most likely coming from the EXTERIOR styling cues and the inside is what people are giving up in favor of the car's skin.
  3. 2010? That's just a wee bit longer than everybody hoped for DCX. How come it took Chrysler so many years to act on fixing up their interiors? Did the execs never sit in their own cars?
  4. hehe, this thread is amusing to me for some reason. Maybe I should take a break from studying....even though I'm on C&G right now. For the record the Ridgeline is WAY WAY WAY better than the Avalanche/Tundra/Silverado/F-150/Titan. Hmmm I think BrewSwillis' brain just exploded. Sorry just had to poke some fun at ya :AH-HA_wink: ...and no I don't seriously think the Ridgy is better than the Silvy for truck purposes.
  5. Ugh, the Nissan DNA needs to be stripped from that car. Those styling cues may work on the Altima but definitely not on the Sentra.
  6. Hm well I was looking at the interior photos off the dodge website. I guess its the black interior, but the lighting conditions make it look really grey and 04 Malibuesqe ugly.
  7. Good effort on the write up. A few points I agree with you, especially about the interior. I haven't sat it one yet(Dallas auto show THIS week!) but stylistically it looks better than the aura's i think. Material wise I can't say but I can tell you that gray scheme looks so disappointing. Also, I think all Avengers should have the black head light treatment. Otherwise I can't even imagine purchasing a non-R/T Avenger as the clear headlamps look totally down-market when paired with the crappily designed steel wheels of the base model. I also having seen the Sebring in the flesh, think the Avenger is much better looking. The Sebring is just plain WEIRD. The side "character line" that runs across it is horrible and the taillights don't have any continuity with each other. They just line up at odd places and call it a day. That Sebring really looks Korean from a distance, like a late 90s hyundai sonata or something. The Avenger just needed more funds behind its back...it probably would've been a competitor had it not suffered from Dodge's financial position.
  8. Ugh the Ridgeline. You know...if it didn't look so bad I'd actually wouldn't mind it. I do however still like the practicality of its in-bed trunk and dual mode tailgate.
  9. I do like Honda as a company a lot more than Toyota. However, as much as Sixty8's comments about Honda are all negative, I have to agree that a lot of Honda/Acura's current and future products are becoming rather ugly. The CR-V actually is the only one that has grown on me since its initial release. IRL, it actually doesn't look too bad in darker colors. The Civic sedan is oddly proportioned with the coupe being a good looker. The Accord sedan was stripped of all personality this generation but again the coupe variation maintains a decent sporty car. The refreshed Pilot and TL taillights are a step backwards, the RL is the definiton of bland, and the RSX is now gone too. The Honda/Acura concept cars that have been coming out also don't bode well for the future. The V8/V10 issue isn't a concern whatsoever for me, I don't have the money for that and probably would opt for something else nowadays with GM's V8 equipped vehicles(G8, CTS). It's good that Honda is the most economical of all the car manufactuers, and that they are an engineer driven company, not like Toyota where they just want to dominate everything for the sake of being #1. I just hope Honda gets two things done soon: 1) Start designing cars with a little more sporty flair. Back in the 90s I could say all Hondas were sportier looking than Toyotas. 2) Hire a REAL marketing firm that knows how to make ads. Not those boring 20sec spots that currently air which are all forgettable.
  10. That is probably the most unflattering WT I've ever seen. I also read a news piece on the Tundra having incentives already. I believe Toyota was saying how they know how cash strapped or credit problem ridden work truck buyers are so they're offering incentives for them to buy the new Tundra. Ah found it, it was from Edmunds:Clicky That's quite a spin from the PR dept, Toyota really does have the best marketing in the car industry. A decently loaded up Tundra actually doesn't look too bad.
  11. Come 2010, we'll see how ready GM is for the green limelight. I for one, hope this car can make it by then and also prove to be reliable.
  12. Interior is pretty slick looking, same goes for the front end. I like those parts, the rear also reminds me of the versa...which I abhore.
  13. If by some miracle the majority of BPG dealers could look like those illustrations above, then GM would have the starbucking, trendy shoppers stopping by just to visit a "hot spot" of a car dealer. Of course...right now it's a fairy tale of a dream. Come on GM, make a pre-emptive strike against your competitors and start getting known for your dealerships AND your cars.
  14. Have to admit, those new Avenger pics look a lot better than those cruddy spy pics of the base model car. I still can't get those images out of my head though, I think that black Avenger looks particularly nice. Then again, a lot of cars dressed in black look better
  15. If the alum trim were of a darker shade, I wouldn't be so dissapointed with the interior. It reminds me of the Equinox's trim pre-refresh Exterior wise, it's pretty sharp.
  16. Not a big fan of the front end. That rear is interesting, I'm not sure if I like it more or less than the Commodore or G8. It's just different, the taillights themselves are actually quite cool looking, I don't know if it flows well with the back end design however. G8's is more of a traditional sporty style.
  17. This is the best Pontiac that's come out in a long time that's worthy of being mentioned with its competition. GTO was a good start, I personally would've loved to own one. It's styling while dated, was understated, and sporty and it had the guts to back it up. The G8 is the first sedan I'd actually cross-shop between competitors like the Charger, and 300. The Charger and 300 being shoddy examples of interior imagination. Seeing the interior and powertrain combination along with the exterior styling, the G8 is going to make people look at the brand in a much better light. I love everything about the G8, except for perhaps the potential for hard plastics in the production interior. Not really sure why it says GT Pontiac G8 however...the badges really should be switched around. Well that "character" brought down the Pontiac brand name to its current level of mediocrity today. But not all of it was bad character though, the last gen Firebird/Trans Am was a fine looking machine.
  18. You really didn't need this GM. These Lambdas are probably the biggest products that showcase what the new design driven GM is all about. Hearing a recall about a newly released, highly praised vehicle is just a big fat NO. I'm also glad they caught it early, but damn that is not what I wanted to hear.
  19. +1 for GM there. I think the best news there is the news about the rest of the Astra lineup coming over to Saturn, didn't expect that one. Looks like Zeta will become the new backbone for GM, and that's definitely a solid one to form.
  20. Simple, sporty and sleek. The three S's have prevailed here and it looks damn good. Looks longer than a 3-series coupe, is it just the angle of the photos or is it actually bigger? I definitely don't see the Solara in that A5, and thank goodness for that. It's one of my most hated cars heh.
  21. Aw SRX is one of my favorite Caddys...I'm a sad panda all of a sudden.
  22. GM, get this brochure on TV pronto. I also love the "THEY'VE BEEN WATCHING OUR TRUCKS" line.
  23. I would've taken one of their new Sierras for a test drive and while driving it back into the dealership, "accidentally" lose control and run it through their front door. Seriously, sorry that happened to you. That's just pathetic of them.
  24. I want that Buick FOB now. It's at least on par with the new Cadillac's black FOB. A very interesting read, definitely encouraging to consumers everywhere. It's always good to know GM is keeping design a high priority, a must if you want to survive in this business.
  25. You're awesome Fly. Freaking brilliant. I had just watched the redneck town part clip so I was hoping someone at C&G would've found the whole ep. I actually kinda liked that camaro, but I'm an F-body fan anyways. Also liked the Caddy, even if it was a tank the A/C did run and it looked decent. Kinda nice to see the gang bond with their cars, I'd probably be the same way. That hick town, oh man that was pure awesomeness. I definitely think Hammond got the worst of the 3 slogans though, I busted out laughing at all of them. Oh and how could I forget the cow? Seriously...such a random hilarious moment. Ah Top gear, how I miss thee.
