Danish Mohammed cartoon
It can be interpreted as violent, in the same manner as Christianity can.

Danish Mohammed cartoon
The Muslims who are outraged by this cartoon are probably the ones who have perfectly fine behavior that doesn't need "fixing".

SRX
It's Car and Driver after all... the SUV that has the most carlike handling will win. You have to remember they were once Sports Car Illustrated. From all the reviews I've read, the SRX is a good drive... strong engine, excellent transmission, and predictable handling. I think its mediocre real-world sales are attributable to the cheap interior... when you spend $60K on an SUV, you expect it to be luxurious, and the SRX just isn't.

Geneva Preview: More Details Uncovered on Saab
Ugh, I hate how they tease us with concepts. The 9X and 9-3X and a few others were fantastic and showed great potential for the brand. What did we get in reality? A refreshed 9-5 with a mutated 9X front end.

A much nicer looking Imperial?
Looks about 1997 to me. I'm not a fan of the Imperial, but I prefer it to this.

Lexus ES pictures
The gray portion of the dash looks to be of higher quality material than the current dash. It looks very German and substantial, though I could be wrong... generally I can tell from pictures. The roofline is trying too hard to be sporty, IMO. It should be more proud of its historical land yachtabilities.

Hybrid Escalade to be offered in fall of 2007
Escalade Hybrid makes the most sense out of all the GMT900s since hybrids are becoming a status-symbol, image-making luxury anyway, and the Escalade kinda epitomizes that. Hybrids don't make as much sense in a semi-practical truck like the Tahoe, IMO; a normal, non-hybrid crossover offers similar capabilities in a cheaper and less wasteful package. edit: Oh, I forgot to mention that if you're gonna spend $60K on an Escalade, you can probably afford to tick the $5K hybrid option or however much it costs. A family buying a $35K Tahoe LS 2WD, on the other hand...

07 SENTRA
I generally liked the ION, particularly the RL version, so I like this. It has 95% of the Satty's character but none of its horribleness.

CIVIC si THE BELOVED COTY
Perhaps the Trailblazer's chassis had more "athletic tension." :AH-HA_wink:

Well, it's not like Enterprise visits the local dealership to buy cars.

Toyota Gives Camry Buyers Fraichir Fabric
I believe the new Buicks have silk-infused upholstery, as well, though the reasoning is to make vinyl seem more like leather.

Hondas on crack...
Hardly the typical "sheeple" consumers we speak of.

CIVIC si THE BELOVED COTY
Reminds me of an old episode of Top Gear, re: Civic Type-R vs. Golf GTI: "If you buy a Honda, you end up with the Honda, whereas if you buy a Volkswagen, you don't." C/D said that the Si was more of a driver's car, but that the GTI was more complete.

Hondas on crack...
I doubt most Honda consumers visit this forum. The intention of starting this thread seems... interesting, to say the least.

New car shopping...
I'd go with the 9-3 SportCombi, too. It's roomy, safe, stylish, and cheaper than its rivals. If you do European Delivery, the MSRP for a 2.0T model (22/31 MPG) is $24,480 (as opposed to $27,620), and you get $2000 to spend on your vacation, plus a free night's stay at Ronnum Manor and dinner. http://www.saabusa.com/saabjsp/europeandelivery/index.jsp The 9-3 sedan has a large trunk as well, though it won't be as distinctive. Oh, also, all Saabs come with 3 year/36K mile free maintenance.

2007 Chevrolet Avalanche
I wouldn't be caught dead in the old Avalanche, but this looks acceptable. Should be interesting what the next H2 will look like.

Yukon Denali price Announced
I forgot to check it out at the autoshow... supposedly, it uses higher-grade materials than the Tahoe's. Might only be the Denali, though.

Citroen C4 and Peugeot 307 Hybride
Hybrid engine returns 82.9mpg Peugeot and Citroen have combined to produce a diesel-electric hybrid engine. The 1.6-litre unit, called the Hybride, was unveiled in the Peugeot 307 and Citroen C4. Both cars are capable of an astonishing 82.9mpg with only 90g/km of carbon dioxide emissions. A standard 1.6-litre turbodiesel 307 or C4 is capable of 60mpg and 125g/km emissions. The Hybride system uses the existing models' diesel engine coupled to an electric motor. The electric motor also works as a generator to charge the battery when the car is decelerating. Both cars can be driven as purely electric or diesel, or with a combination of both power sources. Citroen and Peugeot say the Hybride technology could be on sale in production cars by 2010 but that costs make would make it prohibitively expensive at the moment. http://www.topgear.com/content/news/stories/484/

Bridgestone Firestone Tire Test Drive
Bridgestone tires are generally excellent... it's just the crappy Firestones that are... crappy.
