  1. As far as I remember there is an inferno Orange two tone interior that is going to be available for limited time on the 2SS, Camino can help me on that.
  2. Guys before we get political on this thread, let us just stop.
  3. Rogue is an underwhelming vehicle. I have to agree with Reg in the sense that its build quality is poorer than the Kia, and its CVT just kills it. I do not think it is available with manual transmission which would have not been a bad idea for this small vehicle. If people are shopping for vehicles in this class they should seriously look at the Patriot which is not a bad vehicle.
  4. Yes Titanium (Gray) and Beige.
  5. A donked red Torino.
  6. Whcih means you guys would get to see his 38 mpg Panther for a longer time. I hope he is doing okay.
  7. Pedro the savant gets a year older. Happy birthday. May you live 50,000 years with 100,000 days in one year.
  8. 68 if you want GM to survive then you have to accept the reality. I think what dwight is saying makes perfect sense. I had started a topic about how the future G6 should; be other than price, RTS (or whatever GM decides to name it) is the car GM needs but at a lesser money than what dwight is predicting to bring enthusiasts base. To go a step further it needs to be in coupe, convertible, wagon form too. Although I would not mind having a hatchback for other markets. Just a question, how do you make those power-torque curves?
  9. As much as people make fun of Tata they did one great engineering. I.e. when they got their first small car Indica, they based it on one block a 4-cyl 1.4L which had same bores and strokes for diesel as well as gas. The advantage was the block got designed for higher strengths and more stress conditions, they did not spend too much on engineering the engines. I think the 2.0L can definitely use the same technique to give a NA, Turbo and a Diesel (like the one they showed in Chevy Orlando). But given the necessity of people's wants the car may need more engines. I agree the 3.6 will be close to 460 hp if plunked to its full capacity. I personally do not think this car needs a V-8.
  10. What about other engines? Any diesel prospective? Given current constraints with the heads LNF can go upto 300 odd hp. More bolstered heads can have the engine breathing to about 400+ as is evident from the modified solstices and skies doing the tire burning on drag strips. I think the weight should be no more than 3300 lb for a fully loaded version like the old E46 car. As for the V version the 3.6 DI turbo can do the job producing about 400-420 hp.
  11. An odd cold chill in sunshine state and reg gets his senses knocked. . I am glad you enjoyed the Vue.
  12. Or better yet ask Mr. Detroit Metal to chop off the B-Pillarz from the picture of your car that way no physical harm is done to the poor vehicle.
  13. No they had the GXP SAE rated at 415 hp, about a month ago. I hope they price around $35k. That would be a nice headache to have whether to choose SS Camaro or a GXP G8
  14. I have been there too, no joke.
  15. Griffon, when is the Gamma II Aveo slated to be released? I have heard that Asian version is supposed to be out in early 2010. Is it true?
  16. Do you think "street" has some part in it? Will bankrupt auto companies somehow fuel money making for traders?
  17. Z - I see this as silly season. Latest blog was Chry was wanting to sell only Jeep to Renault and Nissan while talks with GM should take two weeks for a decision. Let us think for a minute, if GM wants Chry, why will it not want Jeep which would possibly make sense for GM as many have mentioned? With economy down, people looking into the barrel, such rumors baseless or not seem to be cropping up. I think GM will be better off hanging to what they have keep their development with E-REV and other products and ride the storm.
  18. Ocn, I for one do not think there is nothing wrong with significant age difference. My first and only other significant other in my life was 14 years older than I was when I started dating her (not that the difference has shrunk). It does feel odd initially to look up to older one and be "mature" but at the same time it takes understanding to make the younger one feel comfortable. So as long you two are comfortable and fine with eachother the rest do not matter.
  19. Whom> Let us see enviro terrorists, ultra liberal nuts, Kim Gandy and folks, Consumer Report et. al, Hollywood wannabes. Oh wait a minute you live in Canada, nevermind.
  20. That is what it has become. Toyota might have had good intentions to bring the vehicle in, but it has become celebrity and status symbol.
  21. Now that one should definitely have the V-8 diesel.
  22. Insideline DETROIT — Exterior and interior images of the redesigned 2010 Toyota Prius have been posted at Priuschat.com and subsequently snapped up around the blogosphere. Toyota spokesman Curt McAllister on Thursday morning confirmed for Inside Line the authenticity of the images, and said they were "accidentally leaked." He added, "More details at the Detroit show." The car's formal unveiling is slated for January at the 2009 Detroit Auto Show. The new Prius will face off against the Honda Insight, which was introduced last month at the Paris show and also goes on sale next year as a 2010 model. Look for the Insight to be priced from $2,000-$3,000 below the Prius. The 2010 Prius will be fitted initially with nickel-metal-hydride batteries, but is expected to switch to lithium-ion batteries within a year or two. The car's four-cylinder gas engine is expected to get a modest bump in displacement, from 1.5 to 1.6 liters, with more power, but better fuel economy. Inside Line says: Judging from the evolutionary styling of the new car, Toyota isn't about to mess with a winning formula. — Paul Lienert, Correspondent
  23. I was expecting 28s and taller donk suspensions.
  24. That would hurt your fist. Keep it to punch other things. Forbes is a publication that lacks "responsible journalism".
