Michael Moore Slams GM
The point is, he put himself in the public spotlight and painted himself as a crusader for the little guy, so everyone he does is freely open to scrutiny and if he doesn't like it...too bad...

GM banking on 15 new vehicles for turnaround
While the ES is as much of a 'badge-job' as what some claim these future GMs to be without seeing them, the GS is not. Totally different platform (Camry-based vs. RWD chassies). Though, Lexus still does have rebadges...bad overpriced ones at that...notably the LX470.

2006 Cadillac DTS
Bitching about the Northstar lacking muscle shows he's more into reading spec sheets than living with a car for more than a few days. I'm sure an IS350 does put out more peak horsepower, but there are few engines out there today with the all-around smoothness and output consistancy of a Northstar V8 at all portions of the power band...with 87 octane?

2006 Cadillac DTS
So...did Paul get molested by a DeVille when he was a kid or something? His half is mostly bitching about what an old fart this car is while Anita recognizes that fact and moves the hell on. I'm serious, its supposed to be a review, not an Andy Rooney endcap. I guess he got her period this month. DTS is a completely wonderful car for what it is. Not everyone wants a sports sedan and there are certainly many luxury buyers out there who prefer a boulevard ride over stiff handling. Its not hard to see that a DTS is a budget alternative to an LS430 in terms of good old traditional luxury plush.

2006 BMW 530xi Touring Wagon
Holy $h! @ the price, but I saw my first yesterday and its looks quite stately...more impressive than a dime-a-dozen X5 or X3.

2006 Chevrolet Impalla review
I think the rubber gasket on the inner trunk seals of the Accord has a nicer texture. Also, the anterior side of the glovebox latch on the Camry has a richer, low-gloss matte grain.

Autoextremist: Ford gets design religion - five...
Nope. Get some Bondo and a wrecked Grand Am and we'll talk. Is that 'yours' yours though?

Before the Ridgeline there was...
Can I buy some pot from you? First off, unlike electric Metros, that S-10 was made completely by General Motors as an offshoot of the EV program. It was only available to fleets, probably only in California, too, much like most alternative fuel vehicles (EV1, Honda FCX, Ford's electric Ranger) Second, I believe Hudson's point was that the most recent FWD pickup truck sold in the US was made by GM. The EV1-based S-10 was FWD, made by GM, and sold to fleets as recent as less than 10 years ago. How is that point rendered anything less than valid? Third, your analogy makes no sense. Fourth, stick to the topic? Electric drive is a propulsion system, not a class of vehicle. Being electric doesn't make it any less of a pickup truck. I see a bed in the back, so how is it not a pickup? FWD isn't an 'excuse' in this situation, its necessity as it uses a FWD platform with is likely more efficient for use as an electric vehicle. Fifth, I think a modern compact pickup the general size and layout of an old VW or Rampage pickup would be great and certainly have its place. I scoff at the Ridgeline for reasons including that its too weak to be a real tough pickup but too large to be a real small, useful urban pickup. Imagine a Civic- or Cobalt-based two-door vehicle with an open bed in the back. That's a very useful urban runabout that would satisfy the needs of most people. You don't need to carry five people with you; that's what a car is for. You don't need to tow the Queen Mary; that's what a real truck is for. But if you need something easy to park, economical, with the utility to move large objects around when needed, a compact car-based pickup is perfect.

New feat coming soon?
No. We'll beg everyone for money even moreso before we ever do chintzy stuff like that. That's not a dig at GMI; that's a dig at any site who does that active hyperlinking bullshit. God, its annoying.

'07 Camry Spy Pics
I posted a rear shot of an Azera. Anyway, that's a JDM variant and we all know how much nicer those are than anything we typically get. A US-spec version that nice would easily step on and kill the Avalon. I'll wait to see some rubber-molded wheel-covered versions myself.

Michael Moore Slams GM
I think most people here realize that GM's problems have mostly been GM's own, but detest Moore's 11th-hourism as if he's any authority on the subject or if he really cares about anything that doesn't end up providing free press promotion for himself. I don't hate-hate him like some of the others here apparently do; he's not worth that effort. But I doubt his sincerity and his portrayal of himself as a true 'advocate of the common man.' Rather he exploits them for his own publicity gain.

2002 BMW X5 4.4i AWD for $7200?
Wow. I noticed that at the Auto Show but didn't realize it was that big of a deal. I thought I and other G-body-ers had it bad with the battery being under the rear seat. Its actually very easy to remove.

Honda scores with new pickup line
True. Honda knew from the get-go that this truck wasn't going to be used and abused like a real truck, so a luxurious interior would've been very appropriate and welcomed given the price tag. Unfortunately, it looks more Element than Accord, which is a huge mistake.

Why Modern Country Music Sucks
Modern country sucks because it tries to be pop, hip-hop, and rock but with the words 'ya'll', 'cowboy', 'boots', or 'pickup truck' thrown in every now and then. Granted, there are quite a few contemporary standouts (the Whiskey Lullaby duet with Brad Paisley and Alison Krauss is one in my mind), but that's sadly countered by mindless crossover crap like Over and Over Again. I like some of the modern, I like some of the few-years-old, but the classics are still, well, classic. Give George Jones' Who's Gonna Fill Their Shoes? a listen. Its not only a great song, but one that makes alot of sense nowadays.

Motor Trend 2006 Car of the Year
Wait...aren't you the character who mindlessly mocked a press release by pointing out the 'fat slob', liken a member's comments to Adolf Hitler, and generally just bitch? And yet you feel the righteousness to mock the intelligence of others? What are you even doing here?

Michael Moore Slams GM
So...this makes this guy's credibility like a two and a half now, right? I say that because he's only regurgitating what a thousand others have said for quite awhile now.

Challenger Uncovered
Ewww...don't mention the P word in association with a car that could be both appealing and successful to at least four people. That brand skipped out on rightful death for like 30 years before Chrysler finally pulled the plug. And wasn't the clipper badging simply used on the most recent Plymouths anyway? Certainly not something I'd want to recall.

Stratus is a cloud. Cirrus is a cloud. Breeze...is not a cloud. What about Plymouth Nimbus? Would've been better than Breeze. Its not like Chrysler has been real great with naming things lately.
