  1. Which will be an enormous loss of revenue for Tesla if the law changes.
  2. They actually make full steel replacement bodies for these. http://collinsbrosjeep.com/ I have daily fantasy's about flying to Texas to visit these folks.
  3. Depends on how current political changes affect the EPA.
  4. I love the design language on this...very attractive!
  5. Once again, fantastic!
  6. Methinks you would be very happy with one....
  7. Wrangler pickup is neat also....I like how once the truck market hit critical mass we had all of these new choices.
  8. We are starting to argue semantics here. Why don't we just rust truck buyers to look out for their own interests when they write a large check? I think most of the buying decisions for a product like this are going to obviously be highly subjective... Also, given the aftermarket for Trucks, which is huge, one can pretty much modify a modern truck to do anything one would want. I agree with you both on Tow and payload though...
  9. You just might have a deal. About 6 years ago i wanted to get together a C and G team to run the 24 hours of Lemons. A couple of key players I wanted to pull into the equation here in Ohio had conflicts with regards to family issues and finances, which is ultimately what killed it. A wheeling trip would be much more do able, and possibly much more enjoyable than trying to fix a badly broken car at 3 in the morning....
  10. Drink the best and drive the best. The meaning and purpose of life is to enjoy the passage of time....and what better way to enjoy the passage of time than a Jameson Black after a long cruise in a Cadillac?
  11. ...but it is the most enjoyable.... Couple of times this week sat down before I started a project and had a cat crawl up into my lap....that was all she wrote....
  12. http://www.sierranevada.com/beer/year-round/stout Check out the Sierra Nevada Stout...this would be my contribution for everyone. I will even bring the stuff for Smores at the camp fire!
  13. It would be more awesomer-er to drive the damned vehicles on a wheeling trip and enjoy cold beer by a campfire....now THAT would be awesome.
  14. Given the number of pre production prototypes and test mules they have, they should easily be able to give one to each person here.....I like the way you think.
  15. Love the design language here. Nice to see the Koreans bring their A game.
  16. The wheels really make the car. The regular Civic wheels are kind of clunky and heavy....this car to a much greater extent says get in and drive me than a base Civic....
  17. Thanks...I am enjoying all of the automotive content here! Keep it up....
  18. I still like seeing both this and the Raptor produced...if we can keep putting money to metal and the factories working, everyone benefits. One of my favorite stories from an automotive viewpoint is the story of a test driver for Porsche who was asked how often Porsche's really hit top speed. His answer was every night in bench racing discussions at the bar..... ...and what is wrong with someone just wanting a Truck? The number of people I know with pickups just because that is what they would prefer to drive is pretty staggering. Not just yes but hell yes!
  19. Agreed, but better get your order of deposit in quickly-Talked to my local Honda dealer Sunday, apparently they are limiting production to 7200 coupes and 7200 sedans. This kind of dovetails with what I was saying earlier about Honda having rational plans to limit production of certain models to keep from flooding the market and keep secondary market values up. this also helps their lease rates tremendously I think because they do not have to work with screwy residual values. One wonders what would have happened had Chrysler limited production of the PT Cruiser and kept up with a program of continuous improvement through its life cycle rather than whoring it out for the cheapest possible prices and leases to keep the assembly lines running. Rather than having a forgettable vehicle that is now out of production, they might have a lot of brand equity in a line they can still sell at a high profit. Since I tend to keep cars for 200,000 miles plus, or at least well past 100K...I really like high residual values.
  20. As a guy who lives in a city and often has to parallel park or park in tight situations, i am actually liking the number of shorter vehicles that car makers are bringing out.
