  1. It's a neat car....and I do like the body better. However, the 73 GTO was a great highway car...seems like I remember the president of a large GTO club owning one... The 71-73 Mustangs are great highway cars also. A lot of the cars of the era are really comfortable cruisers... Would take either a 73 or 74 GTO in my garage!
  2. Were I not running hootch, I would say Charger. As it is, the Cutty would be a more rugged car than the Charger IMHO, and I would choose that.
  3. I lust after that as well... But Turbojett...you and I have a little different taste in cars than a lot of the guys here on the board. And Achieva SCX, yes.
  4. For me- #1. Betetta GTZ and Calais Quad Four Olds. You guys know of my love of small cars, these two are just awesome, and I think about them all the time. #2. 1964 Chevy Malibu SS....Everyone thinks of the 64 GTO, 64 SS Chevelle is a nice design, you see 65's but not 64's. #3. 49 Olds 88...larger motor, lighter body15 years before the GTO. Paced the Indy 500 that year. #4. Lumina Z34...came with a five speed, wore the understated look of the GM era well... #5. 1926 Pontiac...god clean first year design for Pontiac. Only seen a few in my life but they seem damn near perfect. Your lists....?
  5. It would be so cool for some of them to survive!
  6. That blue and white 85 is stunning, but I couldn't afford to pay 18K for it... NEAT TRUCK>>>>>
  7. But then it is about more than you! What one would sell better to the American public. To be honest both would be low volume but it is something to consider as I don't want to see this car after 3 years tank at 3500 units. Few cars outside the Miata can do that and survive. By this justification, GM shouldn't build the CTS-V...Mazda sells about 4 Miatas for every CTS-V GM sells...
  8. Would work perfectly for me, albeit it would look stupid with ladder racks on top of it... Sadly, they were probably all crushed a year or two ago....
  9. Cool car....but I'd sell it and buy a Chevrolet Cameo truck...and invest the million and a half left over./....
  10. I deleted my political comment in the Cruze thread....if they want to be apolitical, more power to them. That Dandy Cruze might find a spot in my driveway yet....I had one following me home, very nice car from the front. Hopefully GM doesn't screw it up with the refresh like the did the Malibu.
  11. What is the Status on the wagon?
  12. Was thinking about Camino's choice of Teal for the mothertruck, and the resto shop behind Jegs had this Mustang sitting out front....It's more of a teal in natural, real light than the photographs show...
  13. 58 Cadillac south of St. Clair and 5th.... This is a 65 Vette I think I was telling you guys about. It's been a race car since it's current owner bought it in 69 with 20K on the clock...it now has 70K on the clock, and the last 50K has been 99.7% competition....it's spent a lot of time on road courses and doing track days. Still sees local car shows and such...was originally a darker metallic green, would have been sharp as a new car back in 65, Methinks.
  14. C4 getting ready to race at Kil Kare... C6 race car at Nelson auto group.... Yellow 65 Goat convertible at nelson auto group, different from the yellow 65 I posted earlier at Mershons in Springfield. Amazingly crappy photograph of an Amazingly well restored car...this thing was beautiful! Another of the C6 while I am at it...
  15. Ran across this Pontiac for sale out by the Chillicothe fair grounds...went by there today and its gone.. Here is the 454 powered Corvette I was telling you guys about....
  16. That 60 bel air is perfect...wow...that just made my day. 1 of none Ford express van I was telling you guys about... Clean old Fox body Mustang ragtop....seems like I rarely see Fox body Mustangs around any more... Keep seeing this lowered S10 around town, keep thinking of OCNblu when I see it... I pass this thing on a weekly basis and I get really frustrated seeing it rot away...ugh....
  17. Wicked small cars can be cool...Original Abarth Fiat/1000 below...
  18. Depends, Veloster Turbo is wildly over rated as a small car IMHO. GTI and Focus ST are closet to 25K, and 5K financed is a hundred bucks a month. IF your going to autocross, the Sonic would be faster/easier to drive, as it is narrower (increases slalom speed) and is not the front heavy pig both the GTI and Focus ST are. Not saying Focus ST and GTI are not neat cars, thinking of them both, actually. Would be a neat little car also....
  19. http://www.wtnh.com/dpp/news/crime/6-bmws-stolen-from-darien-dealership#.UDlbVcFlRL5 You know it wasn't any one of us here behind the crime...or the text would have read...Six well used GMC 4WD work trucks stolen from landscaping company.... But don't worry, the vehiclew WILL show up. Modern BMW's seldom go very long without needing a trip back to the dealer. And five of the vehicles stolen were BMW SUV's. Seeing that these are X5's and X6's, my only request is this..please come into our country and steal the rest...quickly.
  20. Even if the Diesel does not come soon, this is one of the coolest small SUV's on the marked. IIRC it just won a Car and Driver test.
  21. Good luck to you on both counts sir. I am pretty well satisfied with my fleet right now.
  22. Agree with you, Dfelt, and the Mercury wagon rocks mine! Thanks for the 76 442, love the car, era...got to run but thanks again W<J for the pics...!
