  1. I was thinking second gen Z4...
  2. See I can handle the Z4 but not the 5...
  3. That could have been ugly...
  4. Cool...I would pretty much agree...
  5. Cool story! Thanks for sharing that...so many people abuse dogs and other animals...glad to know that you care...
  6. Awesome! It can't be a British car without at least one electrical gremlin (Cooper.) You and Jill are enjoying two of my fav. modern cars. as for the Cooper not being a ragtop...two words..Mustang ragtop...two more...weekend driver... Chris
  7. BMW Z4-don't like it as much as the Z3, but it is growing on me. Chrysler 300-picking my daughter up from her high school, I saw one black on blavk with 22" wheels and a tint, tastefully done...looked kind of badass...I could rock that in an alternative universe...and yeah it had a Hemi. Charger-I know a lot of people here don't like them, and the rear roof line makes the back seat hard to use...but done up in the Chryco heritage colors, with a Hemi and an after market exhaust....hmmm Genesis coupe-Selling well around here, as we said before should give the Japanese a run for the $ The new Sonata-Neighbore traded his Porsche Cayene (the Porsche SUV, or whatever it's called) in on one...and actually likes it better than the Porsche. Go figure...guys other car is a seven series BMW and he just brags on the Hyundai of all things. Ford Flex-kind of growing on me. Ford Fusion-getting my attention because Ford is doing such a fantastic, great job with fit and finish lately. What have you all started liking that you used to hate...? Chris Starting to like the 370Z more also, and starting to grow a little respect for the G35 and G37...
  8. Yes it is Lamar..good to see you back posting here a bit, sir...
  9. With all due respect, it's not a bad car, dude...used to have a co worker who had the ragtop version of that car and just freakin loved it...I was being sarcastic more than anything, but since no one around here uses sarcasm... BTW, now that you have lived with them awhile, do you and the Mrs. still like the MINI and the TDI Sport Wagon?
  10. Bv...your going to be better off going the Vortex route. The Michigan (Ann Arbor) TDI guys come to Columbus to our pick and pull, we have lots of vee dubs through there, and I've never seen a decent leather interior in any of them... YMMV
  11. I about lost it when I saw how clean that motor bay was...
  12. No, but you've been a Camry Solara owner, which is just as bad...
  13. Agreed
  14. I like the Idea of a C5 Z06 much better...to me...much better car... But the Zr1 is sweet!
  15. And also, my father in law just bought a new Dodge mini van with the stow and go...and I thought I'd kill myself before I'd say this but...I wouldn't mind owning one. NICE vehicle...
  16. Considering I have a high school diploma, I shouldn't have smashed my finger on my left hand while adjusting the belt on a rooftop hvac unit today...
  17. Makes sense, drew. I still want to drive a CTS with the auto after reading your input in this thread...
  18. Exactly! Saw a neat old 57 Chevy rusting by a barn today...looked pretty much intact...
  19. That generation of Camaro did have comfortable seats...damn...we agree on something else...
  20. I kind of agree, esp. on the Taurus...Taurus is a NICE car...guys I work with in their twenties love it, and my mother took me to the Ford dealer to look at one when they first came out because she thought it was a hot car... I like the old Eldo's...one of my room mates from College had one from the early nineteen seventies...that car...had fuel economy that was measured by the foot. Best it ever got was seven miles per gallon IIRC...but it would go if you hit the loud petal... and it had plenty of room as a make out mobile for taking girls out... Volt-Hell yes, even though I am a VW TDI guy. HHR-They came out with that right after I bought the wife's crap box...I'd love to rock one, esp.a panel. And you all know of my love for Roadsters, so a Solstice, esp a Z0k or GXP Solstice...hmmm.. You can always use that giant speedo to replace the clock in big ben...it is a British car after all. But as much as I like the MINI, the VW gTI is a billion times more comfortable and Ergonomic than the MINI. My family still wants me to buy a MINI anyways... With the run flat tires gone and a few handling upgrades, an S is a blast to drive...a completely different car than a base cooper on run flats... But to answer the question---not a big sedan type of guy but...CTS or CTS-V for sure...the new Bu looks good...and I could see owning a Charger or three hundred in another life...
  21. Well...when your running...stop and catch your breath in ohhh high...ohhh... Chris
  22. cquote name='Camino LS6' date='15 April 2010 - 08:16 PM' timestamp='1271376960' post='590957'] There is a little repair shop right near the race car garage that always has cool stuff hanging around. Yesterday afternoon they were messing with a '55 Bel Air hardtop in front of the shop. It's lowered, with a black satin finish (rat rod style) and black rims - pretty badass. They are also bringing back a '67 442 convertible that used to belong to a local sprtscaster who died of cancer a few years back. It's a really nice car that sat and got dusty after the guy died. Kind of a sad note...was getting my wife's car washed in North Carolina when I was visiting my parents a few weeks ago...guy just bought a non 442 67 Cutty rag top...3x black....60,000 original miles...was getting ready to add candy metal-flake paint and 24" wheels....
  23. Have a guy I work with who swears by the stuff...
  24. Ding, ding, ding...we have a winner... My Concorde was a comfortable car, but not quite as comfortable as Jetta. getting old are we? I resemble that remark...the older I get the less I think about sports type cars and the more I think about comfortable cars. Getting close to turning 45 (I do so in September) has changed my outlook. But BV has it right with the Jetta idea...although the GTI seats are fantastic also IMHO. Chris
