  1. Anything to give the Subie STI an edge...
  2. http://columbus.craigslist.org/cto/1784042555.html
  3. I pull for the Redwings and the Pittsburg Penguins when I'm not pulling for the (pathetic) Columbus Blue Jackets I love anyone who beats the Oilers or Toronto Nice...
  4. ...and that would be where my money would go. If I didn't need a back seat with the next car, I might look at a C5 ZO6...quite a few of these are in pristine shape and coming up for sale at very reasonable prices...
  5. My seventeen year old son Joel is really into guitar...there is LOTS of cool stuff to enjoy and own. That Dusenberg is sweet, sixty eight...it has the patina of age to it...and really has the "feel" of a real car...
  6. If your going to pass through Columbus...look me up!
  7. I might, let me check my racing schedule.
  8. Like the idea of a Fox project car.... I agree....
  9. The current Lincoln lineup brings to mind a quote by the venerable Flybrian... See...even Camino has the good sense to agree with us!
  10. Sometimes Dormant is good...it gives you a chance to fall back and find new direction... I'm huge into the whole open wheel thing right now, and racing is just in my blood...can't seem to change THAT. And glad you found motorsports retro..with that...I may just forget what my wife and children look like....
  11. Enjoying drifting and F1 stuff right now, and Balthazrs comments aboutDusenbers\gs have gotten me interested in pre WW II Indy and F1 cars again... Where is your automotive fetish taking you all at the moment?
  12. I don't know...but I do know at the last Auto cross that Scion in my rear view mirror (it was a TC) didn't have enough INTENDED acceleration....
  13. Since the MINI like the Miata is sort of a chic car...I wouldn't use the term "Maxi" with it, as it could get confused with a "Maxi" pad... 'blu...you have no idea how lucky you are not to deal directly with THAT aspect of a woman (or three daughters and that aspect) on a monthly basis....
  14. It makes sense maybe as a 25K car...but not $40,000. Wow. Local guy special ordered a Scion TC direct from Japan with all kinds of unobtanium JDM (Japanese domestic Market) stuff on it....that car was over 40K...40K for a TC is nuts.. I wonder if 40K would buy a clean low mile C6 Z06 on the used market?
  15. That 68 is from the best era of GM cars...IMHO (Ducks as wre3nch comes from Balthazar...) I just love the 68-72 Mis size cars from GM. That being said...yeah...it's depressing to look at what's being built and sold today...and I like the challenger commercial fro just that reason. However, we need good modern design as well, we can't always choose to live the past iMHO...
  16. Can't blame you there...
  17. Great...I Love that body style Camaro... My cousin Greg had a black standard style early camaro like that...VERY oisitive me mories of that car...one of my friends in college had a white one...very positive memories of that car as well. Any way one of those Disney movies could actually be true and we could have the evil witch of Tokyo melt while every Corolla turns into a second or third gen Camaro?
  18. Balthazar will think we are nuts, but I agree on the R32 dude. but then again I do like the dusey better than the Lambo... ...and one of the best ways to get sound track is to work corners at an SCCA event...ever be 15 feet from the track when 50 cars come by at 130 miles an hour?
  19. hmmm...guess we'll just have to agree to disagree on that. But please tell me that you are a fan of the early second gen split bumper cars...
  20. More than one old brit car wound up on a flat bed on that trip..but that MGA in the pics hung right with us. We were running down a twisty road at 75++ through 25 MPH curves and the MG was right on our butt...however the drivers face was a little white...
  21. At the last auto cross got to ride along in a VR6 GTI...I would agree on the sound of that...
  22. Interesting how the side impact air bags open up so quickly...
  23. Yes, Ohio river. I keep hoping that you will come back to Ohio so that we can add to the 63K your 'stang has on it now. In our second group we traveled with, there was a nice, nice Mustang GT convertible of the same era as yours, red, white interior...I kept thinking of you every time I saw the Mustang, Cubical/Rob...
  24. Not going to post a you tube link, because you almost have to actually be in the car to feel it...but I like the ford Modular V8's, esp. with a turbo or supercharger added. And Balthazar, I've heard the 427 vintage drag raced in a Thunderbolt replica....very...very impressive.
  25. When I was in college, the guy who lived right below me had a Ford Falcoln Sprint, nice, nice car...we used to play intermural football on the fields behind the dorms...kid comes down the road behind the dorms while we are all playing football...get's it a little sideways...pole cuts the car in two, kills him instantly, badly hurts another passenger...guy in the back seat got away with serious injuries also... Guys girlfriend was devastated...he was a good guy...which is why if I'm going to do something stupid, it's going to be on a race track with life flight, a roll cage, a fire system, a race suit, a helmet, a hans device, et al... But that could have been me in the Camaro as well...first time I was pulled over I was doing three times the speed limit...and talked my way out of it...
