Mother May I?
A bunch of stuff...two survivor Chevrolet's a 1937 Maroon 4 door and a dark grey 1940 two door Deluxe, being towed on a trailer east of Columbus. Caught up with the guy at a truck stop, and other than a little paint work, both cars were all original and really kind of nice. blue 1958 Chevrolet Cameo Truck, nice. A whole strong of GM cars in black, two unrelated but identical Auroras in the front, followed by a black HHR, a black mid 70's Camaro, several Black Suburbans, another olds, a late model Vette, a silverado...and a bunch of other cars...all GM, all black. Odd. Usually do my own oil changes, but work has been picking up and I've been lacking time, got the oil changed at the local Ford garage. Mint, perfect, one owner 1975 Maverick, in the garage with my Miata...flawless shape, babied...haven't seen that nice of a Maverick since the 70's...

Agreed. Almost might leave it unrestored just for the "patina" of an old car. I heard some where that they are restoring the belvedere that was buried in Tulsa!

AZ Wrong on immigration
I'm white, I'm in the construction industry, and I'm currently working about thirty hours a week. I both agree and disagree with you...we need to put Americans to work, but Americans need to be willing to work. LOTS of white guys think construction is a great career to screw off at...I've worked crews that were all white, all black, all hispanic, and about every combination of the above. I've also worked with lots of white guys who will work their buts off for forteen hours a day to get a job done. However, I could almost bank on the work ethic of a hispanic crew being really high. But not all Hispanics...I've gotten hispanics fired just like I've gotten white guys, blakc guys, and asians fired. As a foreman, the only way to kiss my ass is to produce...come on my crew and you damn well better produce, or you won't be there. I think the answer is to teach hispanics English so that they can become part of our culture, educate their children, and work on making a better economy so that people can have a better job regardless of race.

Guy a few years ago made one hell of a drag car out of a 53 vette that was that rough....also a Shelby that was that rough made one hell of a nice drag car. Sucks though...rough numbers matching 66 SS396 Chevelle around Columbus like that several years ago....no one wanted to restore it...so the guy built a wild pro street car out of it...and then everyone was mad at him for not restoring it back to stock...

That's how you get 4000 of a car around fifty years later when only 2000 were produced back in the day... And thanks, Cletus for producing this for us to read...

Yeah I've got some minor rust on the Miata I'm going to have to get fixed. Given some of your other comments here, you'd be getting wet, hot and soapy with it in a few other ways also...

Methinks a Rubicon along with a Camaro, Mustang, or three series BMW would be a nice replacement for the GC. But keep the GC, so you have a tow vehicle for a camper, or a race car...
