  2. Wonder how fast they were going???
  3. Believe me, I have thought LONG and HARD about doing this... But really...if I was going to go third gen...I think I'd like to find a genuine 1LE car...
  4. I am pretty much the same way...although my son and I just completed a 335 mile sports car trip with the MINI Club, the Miata club, and several British sports car clubs... Longest non stop was from an hour north of Indianapolis to south of Miami, Florida...my old V8, RWD Cutty and lots of caffine!
  5. Enjoy your stay here...hopefully you can get another Buick as a rental...Albert coming with you this time...?
  6. Probably going to race with the SCCA Monday at Ackerman, but I might spend the day with my wife instead. Sunday, I think we have a 500 party with the Buckeye Miata club... tomorrow...it's pull all the weeds in the yard that I didn't get last weekend and clean the house. My teenagers have their friends both male and female...sleeping over this weekend. We'll have a house full...should be interesting...
  7. True...and for their day...they weren't bad. Ideal car would be a third gen with the ls series drive train...now that...would be sweet!
  8. I love the sharper ground effect myself...there is an Early Z28 sitting in a tow yard that I pass every day on the way to work. It is an Ohio Rust bucket on its way to the crusher...but still I would love to save that car...the third gen cars to me are just so cool... Chris

  11. Agree on buying new, Balthazar...
  12. The later examples with the stacked square headlights of that generation are better, as are the Cutty's and regals of the era...
  13. Sweet car, but in Columbus that thing would bring $6500 today...I am with balthy...something is up...
  14. Not fair...just when I fall in love with motorsports and the modern stuff...
  15. Maybe they will amend Texas Geology to include a global flood?
  16. Yes it is...and for working class guys like us...there is the hope that we could perhaps also buy something like a used Elise. Same sort of thrill, but tamer and cheaper... 8 C = Pure automotive lust for me... Perhaps you should try anew direction with your love of cars...instead of buying a new car...ever think of trying motorsport?
  17. DF...I never was much for exotics...until you started liking them...but I've got to go retro here, Ferrari F40 FTW!
  18. For me it is a different kind of wow.... Love some new cars....GTI and TDI VW...MINI Cooper S...Z06 C6... But yeah.,..I agree with you. Let's build a delorian, get Doc Brown, and go back...to ride in a 68 Z28!
  19. I'm not blessed with over sized equipment, but I've never gotten a complaint either...
  20. A lot more people will be in there boat given how bad the economy really is...
  21. One more way we are moving backwards as a nation...agree with you Camino...
