  1. Reg, I love you like a brother but... To me the SX4 is perhaps the biggest steaming pile outside of what a cow just let go out of its back end on a Wyoming prarie. Suzuki IMHO builds the most absolute awful godawful cars concieveable. Actually, I think Suzuki is proof of alien life forms...because I doubt any of the 6 billion humans we have on this rock could actually concieve of a car as bad as the SX4 without some kind of other worldly help. Just my two cents, YMMV. And again I love you like a brother...but the SX4 is terrible IMHO. Chris
  2. Agree on the quality of the Fit. Reg, the Focus SVT is a little edgy, something I like in a car you you don't, perhaps. To each his own. I am really proud of both Honda and Ford for bringing us these vehicles. Now if we could just get MINI to get rid of the cold start issues in the S, We'd be in bidness. And DF, don't forget the GTI and the upcoming TDI as premium small cars from vee-dub. The TDI supposedly will come well equiped. Chris
  3. Bingo! Chris
  4. Steak! Chris
  5. Exactly why I drive two cars that get 30 plus MPG! We need boifuels and energy pokicy now IMHO.. Chris
  6. 010 GTI FTW! Chris
  7. I just came back from an event that had quite a few "rat rodders" at it. Those guys DO want flathead technology... Chris
  8. Thanks for posting this, PCS! Chris
  9. Like I said, glad someone else here understands the small car thing. Neat ride... Chris
  10. ...in a year or so when your living in New H. and life is better...you can buy another one. Chris
  11. Very True Camino! Chris
  12. Focus SVT and GTI are two of my fav. cars. Small driver oriented cars are a lot of fun to drive IMHO. Chris
  13. ...and Sigen, glad at least one other person here knows what a small car is supposed to feel like. Your Integra is a GSR and not a Type R, correct? Chris
  14. The Fit is a fantastic small car. We thought long and hard about buying one before we bought out current Miata as a used car purchase. If Ford does bring in a car that is in any way as good as the Fit...Kudo's to Ford. And shame on Toyota with the Yaris and Nissan with the Versa. They are truely terrible small cars...no raving internet rant could do justice to how bad they really are IMHO. As I've said before, it will be interesting to see what Chryco can come up with given Fiats wind in its sails. Chris
  15. They do the same thing that Superformance does with their Cobra replicas. They come in without a motor installed and they are a compnent vehicle. Some Ohio Jeep guys have gotten Egyptian Jeep Diesel Wranglers into the US using the same trick. Methinks Camino could use this trick to bring in a G8 ST. Chris
  16. Yes they are...Just ungodly expensive. It's like 32K for the kit last time I checked. Chris
  17. Don't we already have a tinfoil hat emoticon??? Just curious... Chris
  18. I can't imagine a 7 with an LS motor in it. We have a 260 Horse Lotus 7 that shows up at our local autocrosses. It drew blood from my 16 year old son the first time he rode in it...Lotus 7 is actually faster IIRC around the top gear test track than a Veyron. Lotus 7 with an LS would just be brutal...my kind of car! Chris
  19. Buy one from down south. A vehicle like this could last you and your family 15 years, do it right, bro! Good luck with the search. Chris
  20. True, but I bet this car is a handfull with an LS motor swap! Would LOVE to drive this thing... Chris
  21. http://grassrootsmotorsports.com/reader-rides/212/ Check it out...! Chris
  22. Agree on both the Cherokee (older style with straight six) and the fullsize Blazer. Chris
  23. blu, I know of a post of mine in that thread also. Other places I post all do the same... The Miata forum (WWW.miatanet.com) the TDI forum (www.TDIclub.com) the autocross forum (Www.autocrossforum.com) and North American Motoring (www.Northamericanmotoring.com) all have similar rules, and I do think it makes the forum more professional. After meeting oldsmoboi for dinner, all I can say is that he has some GOOD things in store for Cheers and Gears, and I want to see this site grow. Chris
  24. Damn, Camino...always something, right? Chris
