  1. Not just yes but hell yes. I get so frustrated when people complain about this car. It isn't perfect...but it is amazing. Chris
  2. So today I am surrounded by my Japanese/Euro car nut friends at our local Autocross. One of the MINI guys, Allen chimes in "That new Buick Lacrosse is a Hot car!" and he says it in the reverent tone we used to use when I was a teenager and we were talking about GTO's and SS 396 Chevelles. The Suburu guys chimed in and talked about how beautiful the car was, and how much better it was than a Lexus. The Miata guys all talked about how nice the interior was, and the Honda guys were talking about how nice the powertrain was and how well built they thought it was. Mind you, at 44 I was the oldest guy of about 12 of us in the group. NONE of these guys is a real huge domestic fan...and here they are noticing the new LaCrosse of all things. And by not a real huge domestic fan, they don't hate American cars but not many Amaerican cars are on their "radar" Interesting to see that the new Buick is making that kind of a splash. I was also standing behind some 40-50 year old females while I was waiting in line for a table at a resteraunt...and they were all gushing about the new LaCrosse. Again, not people who normally get excited about a new Buick. Just thought I would share this...kind of cool. Now if we could just get the RWD Caprice approved for civillian sale we would be cooking with gas... Chris
  3. I'd prefer mine without the sunroof, actually. Too much chasis flex with really sticky tires during an autocross. Sadly, I think I'm no longer a Mustang guy. The new Camaro and Challenger just look SO much better to me than the new Mustang. Saw a Dark grey 010 Camaro SS with cranberry colored stripes. AMAZING car. Cars are like a drug to me, and the new Camaro is proving to be like Heroin, only more addictive. GM just nailed every design detail so well on that car, IMHO. Visually, the new Camaro and the CTS (esp V!) are the coolest things to come out of GM since the SD 455 TA in 74. I am just in so much utter utter utter lust over that car. Chris
  4. My mother still talks about the GM cars her dad owned (57 Olds ragtop, 59 Buick Hardtop, Couple of buick 225 Ragtops). My younger teenaged daughter loves Corvettes. Older teenaged daughter wants a Colorado or a Canyon. NICE to see GM appealing to the fair sex...esp. when they live in my household and are of car buying/driving age. Chris
  5. Actually I'd prefer mine in Navy blue with dark tint on the windows...and yes the steel wheels give it a very purposeful look. That car would look good in black, with a Buick Grand National on a trailer being towed to the drag strip. Or perhaps towing an open trailer with a formula/open wheel type race car, also in black. Chris
  6. My boss at work was in an accident where he was hit in the face with an airbag. He always drives with the steering wheel really low now, so if it goes it will hit him in the chest. I often drink coffee while I drive, and I always used styrofoam cups when I am driving an airbag type car. Could just see a metal cup going into your face and killing you if you got hit with a bag while you were taking a sip. Chris
  7. 'blu...that new GTI has MY name on it...perhaps the one car on the planet that could talk me out of a Cobalt SS or a MINI Cooper S. Chris
  8. OMIGOSH, he likes a white car. I also saw a new Camaro in the lighter blue color...LOVE that! Chris
  9. Looks good, my friend... Chris
  10. I love this time of year...FOOTBALL! Also, driving at night with the top down and the heater on. It really works, and chilly fall air is just great. Love the feeling of fall, September through November is about my fav. time of year. Chris
  11. Which is why a thorough test drive is important for a tech to solve all of a cars problems safely and correctly. When I work on anything mechanical, be it a refrigeration system, an electrical motor control center, or a car, finding one problem often doesn't solve things completely. Good luck Mustang, glad to hear she'll be back on the road and safe.
  12. You will be impressed I think with how much better the car drives with "fresh" parts. Chris
  13. Sweet car. Used to have a friend who had a car the color of the light blue 'camino is talking about, they are striking in that color. 80's Grand National/GNX is perhaps my fav. 80's car outside of the 80's 911's and 944's. Along with that, I like the first gen RX-7's. But anyhow, awesome car. GOOD trade. And like Camino said, your as nuts as I am. Chris
  14. Great news. Glad to see GM get in position to regain its focus. Chris
  15. Should be lots of good sheet metal with all of the CFC trucks in yards. If you can't find something let me know, local Pick N pull looks like a GM plant Storage yard from 1993 with all the CFC stuff. Chris
  16. I saw a really really nice Bazer like yours done in a metallic blue with a lot O aftermarket chrome. Great looking vehicle. Chris
  17. I am a car slut also... Although I am unsure of what comes next. Chris
  18. Usually I am pretty much a prick towards bikers like that. Chris
  19. Would work better if it wasn't red. But I like it. I've thought Hard about a 46 to 54 Chevy of some sort. Love the 48-55 Chevy trucks...everything from this era just seems to "work" for me. Chris
  20. Actually I've worked repairing refrigeration and electrical stuff in fast food kitchens. Most of that stuff is not real clean....ugh.... I'm kind of picky about what I eat and where I eat. Chris
  21. ...and Z...if I'm ever out east with my bike...love to ride with you. Provided you don't mind riding with an old man. Chris
  22. My son's boy scout troup does a lot of cycling, and they are always very respectful. I try to ride very respectfully and ahve had VERY few problems with motorists over the years. But to me, a bike is more dangerous than a motorcycle in a way, because you don't have the power to get out of someones way and people REALLY don't see you when your on two wheels. Chris
  23. Cameron Mitchell owns the Columbus Fish Market, the place I was thinking of if you ever were in Columbus. There is also Mitchells Steak House. Previous company did electrical work for Mitchells, I've seen how nice and spotless their kitchens are. Mitchells Steak House is fabulous also. There is also a more affordable place they own that has a great Meatloaf called the Capital City Dinner. Never did take Oldsmoboi to Thurman's either...Took him to Jason's Deli instead, which is also pretty good. But Katzingers Deli in German Villiage is WONDERFUL also. When Clinton was president and in town he made it a point to eat at Katzingers. Right now I'm craving Thai, and there is a great hole in the wall Thai place my son and I love to go to. Chris
  24. It would have a long way to go to equal all of the rusting crapboxes of the 70's, 80's, 90's, 2000's, and now 2010's. Maybe a new Toyota Slogan is in order-Toyota "Best Ever Collection of Used Iron Oxide by the Roadside" Chris
