  1. I think I've made a resolution to never buy a "normal" car again. Driving different stuff is just too much fun. Chris
  2. 64-65 Chevelle two door wagon into a delivery? Chris
  3. In the phantom thread I brought up the idea of a Buick Skylark sedan delivery. Like where your going here, Y-J. Chris
  4. What about a 61 or 62 Buick as a 60's style custom with metalflake paint and narrow whitewalls and white tuck and roll interior? Just a thought, I've seen them done that way and love them. You mmay say not unique enough, but add some nice custom touches. Chris
  5. I actually like what your thinking- Much more simple than the holden thing, Unique, non Chevy. I almost think building a 55 Pontiac/55 Chevy sedan delivery. IIRC 53 was the last year for a Pontiac sedan delivery, but I could be wrong. 55 is my fav. 50's year for BOTH Pontiac and Chevy (sorry balthazar, different strokes for different folks.) I remember almost buying a 55 Chevy sedan delivery when I bought my 55 Chev 2 door post. Satty would have liked the delivery as it was owned by an adult bookstore owner and producer of porn at one point in its life. But a phantom 55 Pontiac sedan delivery would be fairly simple, I think. Challenging enough to make it a project, but simple enough you would get it done in this lifetime. Just remember, project camino could become a tow vehicle to someone in Ohio who might want to tow a race car. A freind of mine just bought a fiat SCCA prod. car, and my friend is looking at that maroon 52,000 mile 97 Chev 4x4 at Buckeye Honda I posted about a few weeks ago. Methinks at some point project Camino would be a good vehicle for towing around a Fiat or a spec Miata or a lotus (if I win the lotery on the lotus) or something. But think 55 Pontiac sedan delivery. Think Project Camino=tow vehicle perhaps. And that Falcoln is kick ass. I have always ahd a weak spot for the 64 and 65 falcolns. Chris
  6. Don't get a good vibe from Hyundai in the trust department even before this. One would think after the Z cars rusting away in the 70's. Tacomas rusting away in the 80's. Civics and accords rusting away in the 90's, that they would see a need to fix this but... I think balthazar is right about asian steel. Chris
  7. MIAMI BEACH
  8. Hence the lean Towards a Cooper S on my part, although the 'balt SS has it's charms. Really would like it if the 'balt was a littel more unique in its styling. But the Ecotech turbo is wonderful...
  9. Agreed with 'blu. Your posts here are one of the few things that keep me sane. Chris
  10. Perfectly calm...
  11. ...and thank you Z06 for agreeing with me that this is utterly a kick ass car. Sometimes I feel like I am the only one here who likes the small stuff. Chris
  12. Have to admit it, the new Camaro is growing on me. Chris
  13. Kind of hoping you'd fathered a few of my kids actually. I could use help paying for them! Chris
  14. Oh,and today two cool GM vehicles. #1, irony of ironies, was a 66-67 Nova headed westbound on I-70 on a trailer behind a nice Z 71 Chevy. Red, americans, looked very clean. #2, also irony of ironies... a yellow Solstice GXP. I still like yellow cars, Dammit, even if no one else does. Chris
  15. It actually is working its way into a short list for my next car. Chris
  16. Agree on the new 3. Seeing cars like that makes me want to move on a bus line. Ugly. Chris
  17. There are 3 Japanese cars I am a fanboi of- The 240Z The Rx-7, first generation The Miata, first and second generation. You can pretty much have everything else. Chris
  18. I don't always agree with cmicasa the great but I can see his point. We waited on the Camaro for forever, and GM got the car as dead nuts right as any modern car. Seriously. And everyone wants to pick the car to death. Visually, this is one of the best cars in 35 years. Enjoy it. GM will do a lot wrong in the future. I get depressed about GM at times, and my posts show it. However, we also need to remember what they do right. Chris
  19. Two things; Thank you for your service to our country. The Cobalt SS is one hell of a car, I just wish my wife liked the Cobalt better. Thinking of one for my son, who turned 16. One of his friends at school has one, an SS/TC. GM got this one RIGHT! Chris
  20. Hey I'm 43, it's never too late for a second childhood...esp. when you've never given up your first. Chris
  21. Looking at the current Acura lineup, one could say that... Chris
  22. In a way it is. I like what Chevrolet has done with the Malibu, the CTS, the Camaro, etc. Just want some of that majic to come down to the smaller cars, as I've said before. Chris
  23. Good! Things are headed in the right direction. Thanks for posting this. Chris
  24. I don't care if they bring in the 335d to pacify Monica Lewinsky and Newt Gingrich- It is still one hell of a car! Chris
