  1. He just wants a pre WWII Benz...therefore Hitler is part of the Era he is thinking of automotively...methinks... Chris
  2. "Conservative" thought has yet to really fix anything. From a policy point of view, Reagan was probably as bad as if not worse than Bush II. Chris
  3. Congrats, DF! And while it may just be the photography, I think you have the cleanest car interior of anyone on cheers and gears. That poor car will last to 400,000 miles with the way your taking care of it. methinks you'd better move, it deserves a better home than mAssachusetts. Chris
  4. The Benz and the intrepid are both great cars, guys. Sixty eight, you've got me thinking about buying an older Benz. I've always kind of wanted one, and several of the 70's and 80's cars are very affordable and in great shape. Did you know that Mercedees Benz is the longest lasting car on the road, with an Average Service life of 19.7 years? I'd reckon the average Kia will last about 1 good Ohio or mAssachusetts winter... Chris
  5. The 300M has a great interior. I remember the first 300M that I saw, one of our Ohio congressmen was driving it, out on the town for an en=vening with his wife at the symphony. I am jealous, DF, in a way I still miss my Concorde. Chris
  6. ...and a horrific eight years they were. Chris
  7. In terms of Positive and not negative... Positive, but a little bit negative: My co worker Joe (the guy who bought that really clean 97 Bonneville from that older couple-car was spotless and didn't even ahve 100K on it yet) got ass-ended by an F150, guy was going about 55 and didn't even bother to slow down...Joe was at a stoplight, with his wife and four children in the car. Car took the a$$ beating of the century, but his children and family are mostly O.K. His two year old daughter will have to have some physical thearapy, but overall everyone is O.K. Also, my son Daniel and I went with his Scout Troup to the local Medflight facility, which actually handles most of Ohio and part of Indiana. While we were there they ahd to send three choppers to a traffic accident, which can't be good. The positive part...this makes me really proud to be an American. Despite all we do wrong, we do far more that is right, and the technology and professionalism of the Med units were amazing. That, and I've seen a lot of cool vintage GM stuff on the road lately... Chris
  8. ...and PA is beautiful, as is Ohio, Michigan, Iowa, Wisconsin, Kentucky, Minnesota, et al. I am in love with living in the midwest. Regardless of who is in office, I just hope we have more than 3 jobs here in about 5 years. Chris
  9. \ +1 Bigtime, Sir. I am in love with your mind...you think very well! Chris
  10. ...also thank corporate America and the American consumer. I buy tools from and independant tool retailer. A lot of people say they want American, but when they look at the price difference, buy Chinese or Taiwaneese. Money talks, BS walks, and buy and large American consumers don't want to pay higher prices for things. Welcome to that thing called a 'free market" Chris
  11. Don't give up on the stupidity of Americans yet...there is still 2012. I really like Sarah Palin in some ways as a person, although I do not like her from a policy point of view. ...I'm going to re-run the youtube video of her in that red swimsuit now. Chris
  12. Not just yes but Hell Yes! Chris
  13. My son Joel is a McCain supporter and would agree with you 100%. When Obama was talking about the puppy his kids would be taking to the white house, Joel's comment was "I hope the damned dog pees on the carpet" Chris
  14. My view looks much better than under that arch idiot Bush. Chris
  15. I'll feel much more like I have a future when I do drive to work. Chris
  16. Agreed 100% Chris
  17. ...it would be sad if he did indeed get shot like all of the rednecks is claiming will happen. Chris
  18. My wife is from New York State, it is beautiful. Chris
  19. I think Obama is going to be the next JFK...and the anti-Reagan, in that he will start to undo some of the damage Reagan started 30 years ago... Chris
  20. I don't pity anybody. As Martin Luther King said, tears will get you sympathy, sweat will get you progress. If nothing else this election got people to vote and get involved. Chris
  21. Carter was actually a much better president than Reagan, or Bush Jr, and at least as good as Bush Sr. Chris
  22. I think the biggest failure is Reaganomics...followed by our militaristic approach to diplomacy. Chris
  23. Where are you seeing that electoral score? Chris
