  1. I'd like to shoot whoever designed the outside of the new WRX. Chris
  2. ...and the TC is built on a sedan chasis, it is not a performance car. Chris
  3. Not sure if it is the answer you are looking for but I think automatic Miatas come with a 4 speed auto. Chris
  4. I love, love love this car.... Thanks for sharing the photographs. Chris
  5. This whole thing brings up an interesting point about GM's model line up. They need another amll utility type vehicle IMHO once the Uplander is gone. Would have loved to have bought one of the 4 door trackers but we had an Astro van that was paid for and ran like a million bucks so we kind of decided not to trade (back in the day when it was still available). I would love for GM to upsize one of the micro-car concepts and put it into production. Good point about 4wdb, Dodgefan. Chris
  6. Exactly. The HHR has a really nice interior, GM is doing MUCH better IMHO in this regard than a few years ago. Chris
  7. Ditto on the get rid of the crap thing, Niche marketing is where it is at. Mazda is good at building small cars that handle well, it needs to stick to that. Ford is good at building the Mustang and trucks, they need to focus on that. Jeep is good at building rugged 4wd off road vehicles, they need to stick to that. Chris
  8. Has anybody here done a thoughtful head to head look between the PT and the HHR? Or has it been discussed in the past somewhere? Also, out of curiousity, what are the key selling points of the HHR Vs. PT? (Maybe CARBIZ could share some of his sales stories if he reads this.) In my mind the largest advantadge to the HHR is that the Ecotech is that much more "Advanced" than the Chryselr mill. Does anybody know if Chrysler plans to discontinue the PT anytime soon? Seems like it is still a cash cow for them. Chris
  9. Don't know the answer myself, but what was the last manual shift olds regularly available to the public? Chris
  10. I am in a minority here, but as for the driver could I get a 23 year old female in a Bikini? Seriously, I don't like the CVT. Not very impressed with the Caliber...was suprised you liked the handeling, almost everyone else has been very critical of it. Nice, nice write up by the way, glad you enjoyed your trip. Chris
  11. +1 on the marketing thing. Chris
  12. GTO for sure. Although it would be cool to build it as a very limited production Firebird also. Chris
  13. They are kind of cool in a way... Chris
  14. So...fly...why hold back. Tell us how you really feel. Chris
  15. Okay, I'll be the voice of dissent here. I don't like the styling of the 62 Chrysler or 62 Dart...however...there is a 62 Dart Nostalgia Drag car running around up here that is kind of fun to watch go down the track just because it is so damned ugly. Chris
  16. Good Luck! Chris
  17. I feel a need to apologize to mr Clarkson. Were it not for us Yanks he could read the owners manual of his Audi in a native German rather than a translated into English version. Chris
  18. ...so from a subjective seat of the pants standpoint in my opinion the Malibu is a better car. I am really excited to see what the next generation of Malibu brings. Chris
  19. Hey, while I am not a fanboi of the Sebring I am a fanboi of Dodgefan and his rather intelligent posts. If it makes you feel any better I will go down to my local Dodge dealer and test drive an Avenger. Seriously...compared to everything else out there the Avenger is not a bad looking car. Not my cup of tea but not a bad looking car. Chris
  20. I like the comment about how good the intrepid was on gas. My Concorde got 28-29 to the gallon on the highway. Be interesting to see the photographs. Chris
  21. Actually the 57 product line for Chryser was a financial disaster of Biblical proportions if I recall correctly. There was an article in Automotive quarterly or some other book I read that talked about cracking windshields, horrendous mechanical problems, etc. Actually the Honda Element has a class action lawsuit for cracking windshileds and mechanical problems. Perhaps the more things change the more they stay the same, eh? Chris
  22. It looks like the buyer took advantade of about 3k worth of Scion Accesories! Could they build it in a special edition with yellow paint, ahuge red R on the side and a wing perhaps? Chris
  23. Depending on the rust, you may want to start with an Arizona or California car later when you can afford it. I'd love, love, love to see this car saved but if it is rusty....Good luck, and keep us posted. Chris
