Saturn Astra makes C&D's Top 10 Safest List under $25k
Actually I would prefer blue, white or black to red. But it is sharp in red. Chris

All set for $5 gas?

Saturn Astra makes C&D's Top 10 Safest List under $25k
Must be the newest Scion xB that also made the list as the previous gen didn't have side air bags. Looking forward to the Astra doing big things here in the states. Chris

Actually the Bonnie and the Olds ought to be pretty good on the highway. Chris

Astra Priced Starting $15,995
Exactly. Which is where it needs to be priced for a premium small car. With a few grand down and good credit it is only about 300 per mo in payment. Chris

Astra Priced Starting $15,995
The focus does have its share of problems, but the SVT of a few years ago was kind of a cool car. The Astra is a nice car. I will look at one seriously next year when it is time to replace my wife's car. Hopefully your right and it is a sales success. Chris

Politicians are at it again...
Every so often a really honest person running for office comes out...and then gets 10% of the vote. Somebody please tell me why we are in Iraq. Chris

Cars with More than 400,000 Miles
Surely an aurora has rolled more miles than that. I've seen tons of cars make it to 300,000 and a bunch make it to 400,000. I've seen a dodge van make it to 600,000 a Chevy Blazer (s-10 4wd) make it to 600,000 plus, a ford Truck make it to 785,000, another ford truck make it a Million...all without rebuilds. I am a construction worker and we usually buy older beat up cars to drive to work because we park them on jobsites. GM products with 300k plus are as common as teenaged girls at shopping malls. Chris

July 2007 Sales: Toyota Motor Corporation
Actually, everything was off in July from furniture to real estate from what I can tell. Still, the TURD is doing poorly for a "new truck" Chris

Mr. Cobalt, we are calling you out...
Actually I've known crapaliers to do better than that. My friend Matt Drove his like an absolute ASS from hell and got over 30 once in awhile. Chris

How many nameplates appeal to you?
Chevrolet-Cobalt SS Supercharged (or turbocharged if they build it) HHR Pontiac-Solstice Saturn- Sky RL Cadillac-CTS, CTS-V Thats about all folks. Maybe the Astra. Chris

Toyota execs walked barefoot to school … through a blizzard
Great point. Actually I would not trust a Chinese made gun not to blow up in my hand. Chris

Mr. Cobalt, we are calling you out...
Dodgefan, the fuel economy you are getting is horrible! My Scion xB is getting 35.5-36 m.p.g. right now, and my 86 Cavalier got over 40 on the highway. Sixty-Eight must have dropped a V-16 in that thing when you weren't looking... Or Flybrian dropped in the 455 from the Lesabre. Chris

Mr. Cobalt, we are calling you out...
...even by 1956 Standards the Caliber is cheap. Probably one of the worst small vehicles on the road today. Chris

New Variant of HHR?
Exactly. I have seen very little advert. support for the HHR, which is sad because it is a neat little vehicle. Chris

Bridges, trains, and tragedy all in one
Ditto on the green thing, although Sante Fe N.M. would be a cool place to live. Salt lake City Utah would be cool also but as an atheist/agnostic I doubt I would fit in with the Mormons. Chris

Sad, Funny and true...
Son of a friend was given a nice clean older Bonneville SSE as a high school graduation gift. Only problem was the headliner was loose and he was told he would have to fix it. So the kid gets an air powered staple gun and staples the headliner back in place. ....And then gets out to notice what has happened to the roof of the car. At least his mother is footing the bill to fix the thing. Chris
