  1. I feel a need to apologize to mr Clarkson. Were it not for us Yanks he could read the owners manual of his Audi in a native German rather than a translated into English version. Chris
  2. ...so from a subjective seat of the pants standpoint in my opinion the Malibu is a better car. I am really excited to see what the next generation of Malibu brings. Chris
  3. Hey, while I am not a fanboi of the Sebring I am a fanboi of Dodgefan and his rather intelligent posts. If it makes you feel any better I will go down to my local Dodge dealer and test drive an Avenger. Seriously...compared to everything else out there the Avenger is not a bad looking car. Not my cup of tea but not a bad looking car. Chris
  4. I like the comment about how good the intrepid was on gas. My Concorde got 28-29 to the gallon on the highway. Be interesting to see the photographs. Chris
  5. Actually the 57 product line for Chryser was a financial disaster of Biblical proportions if I recall correctly. There was an article in Automotive quarterly or some other book I read that talked about cracking windshields, horrendous mechanical problems, etc. Actually the Honda Element has a class action lawsuit for cracking windshileds and mechanical problems. Perhaps the more things change the more they stay the same, eh? Chris
  6. It looks like the buyer took advantade of about 3k worth of Scion Accesories! Could they build it in a special edition with yellow paint, ahuge red R on the side and a wing perhaps? Chris
  7. Depending on the rust, you may want to start with an Arizona or California car later when you can afford it. I'd love, love, love to see this car saved but if it is rusty....Good luck, and keep us posted. Chris
  8. Nice, Nice looking car in the before shot. Glad to see a car in a color other than red. Chris`
  9. If I am really really lucky I might be alive in 2048 to see this opened. Chris
  10. I was concieved about Christmas time, I guess I was someones Christmas present. Chris
  11. Man that's funny.... We need to reserect the old "what is the best vehicle to have sex in" thread for that one.. Chris
  12. Man that's funny.... We need to reserect the old "what is the best vehicle to have sex in" thread for that one.. Chris
  13. Man that's funny.... We need to reserect the old "what is the best vehicle to have sex in" thread for that one.. Chris
  14. Let's let the fact that this thing is as ugly as a Tundra work for us...hell, the Accord is built here in Central Ohio and I almost never see them on the road even here. Now if we can just keep putting Fusions and Auras and Malibu's into peoples hands we might change people's opinions some... Chris
  15. This whole thing is going mto cost Toyota a fortune. Now that I am seeing more Tundras on the rode I am beginning to appreciate how pig ugly they are. Chris
  16. Actually the Aura and the Fusion are more original in their overall approach. Of the above (Aura, Fusion, BMW, Volkswagen, Malibu, Accord) I think that the Fusion is the most original of the lot. Were it to be my money for a midsize car though...Aura. Chris
  17. For thirty grand it needs to come with a 19 year old Seol College student willing to perform illicit sexual acts for the life of the car. Seriously, that they sell even a few hundred of these is a serious joke. Chris
  18. If it is not to rusty future of GM is right, it could be restored. Worse cars have indeed been restored. This thing belongs in a museeum. Chris
  19. Any other pics on the net yet of the Plymouth? I can't get the video to work... Chris
  20. Doubt that there is any way to get it running. That much time under water and the rings, mains, transmission seals, etc. would be shot. Wonder if they will be able to read the microfilm to see who wins the "new" 1957 automobile. Chris
  21. The 1st gen Saturn tends to feel "cheap" however they hold up damned well up here in the rust belt. Your pick of the MINI Cooper would be possibly higher if A. the car weren't tested on those stupid run flat tires and B. it was more reliable than it is... Ford just needs to belly up to the bar and bring the "real" Focus here to the states. Chris
  22. Actually, Sciguy I prefer the Malibu. Chris
  23. Not crackin wise...You OWN a 64...OMG...what kind of condition is it in? 4 speed or auto? I am not even sure what to ask or where to start. Chris
  24. Stuff like the Lesabre Grand national is the kind of stuff I'd like to learn about. Balthazar-Do you know much about the early 1960's Pontiacs, especially Grand Prix models? It has been forever and a day since I have seen one of the early Grand Prix cars. Back in 93 or 94 wehn the 66 Stang was freshly painted I parked near one at a car show. Before that I saw two complete ones in a salvage yard in Muncie indiana in the late 1970's...and a stripped shell in an Ohio Salvage yard a few years ago. Think we might have had one at the Dublin, Ohio Arthritus show a few years ago also. Seriously, though, what can I lean/you tell me about the early 1960's Pontiacs? Chris
